SILENT HEART

A father and his daughter, Aaira, once shared a bond that felt unbreakable. She was the youngest in the family, and he loved her the most. They lives in a city. As a child, Aaira was softhearted and cried easily even when someone else was hurt or two people argued with each other. They laughed at her tears, joked about her emotions, and called her too sensitive. Some people even said that she is fake because she was very soft-spoken and simple, kind. People were irritated by her sensitivity and crying. Those laughs hurt deeper than anyone knew.

One day Aaira goes to her cousin's house with her brother, there was no elder at home there was only her cousin's they all were playing and enjoying suddenly her cousin start fights with her brother, he hits on her head and she start crying so, Aaira felt bad for her and starts crying for her and starts talking while crying' "why did you beat her its not right you hit her hard you are a guy, what if she leaves home hahh" 1second of silence and then starts loud laughter by everyone. After sometime when Aaira cousin becomes fine everyone makes fun of Aaira, and because of that, Aaira learned to hide her feelings. She built a stone heart on the outside so the world would stop making fun of her softness.

Due to financial difficulties, the family had to leave the city and move to their village. Everything changed. The lifestyle was harder, the people were different, and Aaira struggled quietly. Her father, who had once been gentle, became stricter, because Aaira was a brilliant student when she lived, the city but when they moved to the village she became an average student, so her father was disappointed in her and slowly became stricter and angry with her or even judged her, taunting her that she is a loser, failure making jokes about her and when she cried, said, that its hurts, they label her as sensitive instead of understanding her feelings. That was the time when she started feeling sad, alone, and Heartbroken and her brother sometimes judged her without listening. Even her grandmother scolded her harshly.

Deep down, Aaira knew her family was not bad. She knew they loved her and wanted her to learn from her mistakes. Their intentions were good but sometimes, their words, taunts, tone, and actions hurt her heart more than they realized.

Because she was sensitive, she misunderstood things easily, and because they were straightforward, they didn’t realize how their words affected her.

Aaira kept pretending to be strong, but inside her heart was soft and easily wounded. She began to feel like she was nothing like her feelings didn’t matter like she didn’t stand anywhere in the family.

One late night, she sat alone in her small room, tears slipping down her cheeks. She whispered to God:

“God… why does it feel so heavy?

When a person steps outside the house,

They meet all kinds of people—

people who judge,

people who laugh,

people who point out every mistake,

people who make you feel small for being different.

And I know this is normal…

The world is like that.

But God… home is supposed to be different, right?

Home is where you feel safe.

Where even if the world laughs at you,

your family doesn’t.

Where family scold you for your mistakes,

But they don’t make you feel like a failure…

or a burden…

or like you mean nothing.”

“I know my family loves me.

I truly do.

But sometimes… their words, their tone, their taunts

They hurt more than anything outside.

They don’t even realize it.

Maybe they just want to correct me,

maybe they want me to learn…

but God,

Why does it still hurt so much?

I try to be strong.

I try to stay quiet.

I try to act like I don’t care.

But inside… I break every time.

I’m tired, God.

Tired of feeling like I don’t fit anywhere—

not outside,

and not even inside my own home.

Is it wrong to be sensitive?

Is it wrong that my heart feels everything so deeply?

Why does it seem like everyone can handle life

except me?

Just give me a little strength, God…

not to fight the world—

but to survive the people I love.”

That night, overwhelmed by pain, she reached her breaking point. After a small argument with her grandmother, her brother siding with grandmother, and father also became angry without listening.

That night, Aaira reached her breaking point. She didn’t want to die she only wanted to hurt to stop.

In her sadness and confusion, she tried to harm herself...
