...Chapter 5: make his world light up💫...

"Love?" Hikaru smirked teasingly.

"I-I was kidding... Haha!" my excuse came out so awkward.

"My princess grew up... She knows how to tease me back now" Hikaru sounds a bit proud of Aiko.

"Oh... Tease you back? That's right!" I felt relieved, I had no intention of teasing him back at that time.

"But be careful... If I lose control-" he stopped midway. A sudden realization hit him right at that moment. He coughed a bit and continued

"Ask aunt Yuki and uncle Kaname if they have arrived at the mansion yet" He changed the topic. I sometimes feel like cracking his head open to see what's going on in his brain.

"Mom and dad? Alright. I will do that" As I was about to call my mom, I got a text.

"We reached safely, waiting for you and Hikaru. Mom texted me" The ride fell silent. No more teasing, no more casual talks. Just a heavy atmosphere throughout the journey.

At the Hiroshima mansion,

It was overwhelming, the luxurious cars; women showing off while their husbands socialize. Typical rich social gathering, as we entered the mansion the room which was bustling with people; had directed their attention towards us. A wave of whispers echoed through the hall.

That one sentence which echoed its way to my ears "Is he the rumored Hikaru Hiroshima? The crazy son of Haru Hiroshima?" pierced my heart like a thorn.

I placed my hand gently to hold his hand and... He didn't hold my hand. I looked at him in utter confusion *is it due to our status difference?* I wondered if maybe my tense expression could speak the words I feel in my heart.

"I don't want to drag you into this mess, princess" Hikaru responded with his soothing voice; yet his eyes were holding back loads of sadness.

I won't fall for it this time "This is bad..." I took a pause as I watched him getting confused.

"What shall we do? I volunteered to get involved in this mess" I smiled brightly when I noticed Hikaru's sad eyes vanished and welcomed a hint of brightness.

"Let's head for a battle then, princess" Hikaru held her hand gently and finally stepped into the crowd. The whispers judging him harshly disappeared into the thin air, the warm lightning; pleasant music changed the hostile atmosphere. People gathered around us, the ones who refused to welcome the heir of the event they were attending, crowded around him like nothing ever happened.

"My princess... You always make my world light up" Hikaru spoke in a low voice just enough to let it be heard by aiko standing beside him.

"Hikaru Hiroshima! Come here, I need to introduce you to some of our guests" A strict voice invited Hikaru

"Yes, I will be right there grandmother" Hikaru glanced at Aiko to signal her to wait with her parents till he comes back. Aiko blinks in response and rushed towards the other end of the hall to meet her parents.

"Mom!! Dad!! Please don't drink too much tonight" aiko forbid her parents from drinking more than a glass of wine.

"We didn't drink much, darling..." both of her parents displayed an innocent face to distract their daughter from noticing the four empty glasses of wine placed on the table behind them

"You both... Stress me out so much" Aiko sighed as a sign of her giving up against her parents.

"Mom... You remember the mission I discussed with you earlier, right?" aiko eagerly asked her mother.

"Oh, that request? I remember and...I found her" her mother winked at aiko, while her glass of wine is pointing towards a lady slightly far from the space they were gathered at.
