He Moved On First

Today, the temperature had plummeted, and many students who didn't pay attention to the weather forecast had not dressed warmly enough. The cold wind blew and they nearly froze.

"Yuri, are you cold?" Ren turned to ask Yuri, who was only wearing a thin sweatshirt."

Yuri tucked his pale fingers into his sleeves

"It's okay. I still have some warmth left," he said softly.

Ren chuckled. "Hey Yuri have been meaning to ask......are you still hearing from Dimitri."

The answer was obvious as Yuri slowly lowered his gaze.

Ren nudged him gently with his elbow and said, "How about we grab a coffee after class sounds good right?"

"Okay," Yuri nodded.

With that they both walked to their classroom.

After finally making it through their evening classes, they stopped by at the càfe to grabbed a cup of hot coffee, before rushing back to their dormitory to put on warmer clothes.

Yuri shivered and he layered himself in thick clothing. "I'm freezing I've even put on my down jacket. This weather is so terrible, I hope it doesn't snow."

"It's hard to say, it started snowing around this time in the previous years, but it's been colder this year," Ren replied as he took out a pair of thick shoes from his closet.

"I still need to go to for my part-time job," Yuri said as he took a sip of his coffee.

Ren shrugged. "I'm sure Aunt Maria will understand, she knows you have a weak constitution and can't work when it's cold.

Yuri nodded, set aside his coffee and changed into warmer socks before crawling back into bed.

As Ren finished dressing, he tucked him in and quietly left the room.

By the time Yuri woke up it's was already morning, sunlight streamed faintly through the curtain.

He yawn softly, noticing that Ren's bed was neatly arranged he has must have already left.

He glanced at the clock it's was already 9:00am.

His eyes flickered to his phone. A new instagram post made him freeze.

It's was Dimitri.

He was holding hands with Felix Kozlov.

Judging from the background it's seems they went out on a date and Felix also leaned in to comfortably.

Yuri's chest hurts as he read the caption:

"Awesome night with an amazing company."

Then comments flooded in beneath the post:

"You guys look so great together."

"Just date already."

"New couple?"

"Yay, our ship is sailing."

"OMG! Felix look so good tonight."

"My favorite couple."

Yuri's lip trembled as he bit down hard blood tickled down his lips. His finger went cold as he zoomed in the picture.

There was no doubt about it Dimitri has already left him.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he gripped the phone tightly.

The front door swung opened and Ren rushed in he has already seen the post too.

He dropped the bag he was holding and slowly approached him carefully. He grabbed the phone from his trembling hand and hugged him tightly.

"Ren it's h–hu–hurt m–my chest it's hurts, Yuri murmured in his embrace. "At least he should have break up with me properly."

"Everything will be okay, Yuri. please don't cry," Ren said as he rubbed his back.

"Bu–b–ut– but he's the only one i lov—"

"Yuri" Ren's voice cracked with frustration. "Can't you see what's happening right now? stop crying over him it's pissing me off! People change, feelings fade. He has already moved on, so move on too!"

Yuri's loud sob shook him, but Ren held him firmly, letting him lean on someone who wasn't leaving.
