Make Me Yours...... One Last Time

Make Me Yours...... One Last Time

Chapter 1: The First Collision

Ravenshire University of London.

A name that carried weight. Prestige. Power.

A place where futures were shaped…

and sometimes, where destinies collided in the most unexpected ways.

The campus stretched endlessly, its grand architecture standing tall against the pale London sky. Old stone buildings blended with modern glass structures, giving the university an aura of both tradition and ambition.

For many, it was a dream come true.

For Vaishika—

it was a new chapter of her life.

And she was already late.

“Great… just great,” she muttered under her breath, her pace quickening as she rushed through the long corridors, her footsteps echoing against the polished floors.

Her chest rose and fell unevenly, not just from running—

but from the pressure.

First day. New country. New life.

No room for mistakes.

Yet here she was.

Late.

Her fingers tightened around the strap of her bag as she glanced around, trying to make sense of the endless hallways.

Everything looked the same.

Elegant.

Confusing.

Intimidating.

“The auditorium…” she whispered to herself, her brows furrowing slightly. “Why is it so hard to find one place?”

But slowing down was never an option.

It never had been.

Vaishika had grown up learning that life didn’t wait.

Born into a middle-class family, raised by a single parent who was too busy surviving to provide comfort, she had learned early on that if she wanted something—

she had to fight for it.

No shortcuts.

No support.

No second chances.

And today, she wasn’t just running late.

She was running toward everything she had worked for.

Her dreams.

Her escape.

Her future.

Turning a sharp corner without thinking—

She collided.

Hard.

The impact knocked the air out of her lungs.

Her foot slipped against the smooth floor, and for a brief, terrifying second—

she lost balance.

Her body tilted backward.

Gravity pulled her down.

A flash of panic surged through her veins.

Not now…

But she never hit the ground.

A firm hand gripped her wrist.

Strong. Steady.

Unyielding.

In one swift motion, she was pulled forward—

and the next thing she knew—

she was pressed against someone.

Her breath caught.

Her heart skipped.

Time slowed down.

For a moment, everything around her faded—the noise, the movement, the chaos—

All she could feel was his grip.

Warm.

Controlled.

Dangerously steady.

Vaishika blinked, slightly disoriented, before slowly lifting her gaze.

And that’s when she saw him.

Tall.

Sharp features carved with precision.

A face that held no softness—

only control.

There was something about him.

Something that made the air feel heavier.

Something that made people instinctively step back.

His presence wasn’t loud.

But it was powerful.

Rudharansh.

Though she didn’t know his name yet—

she felt it.

The kind of person he was.

His eyes met hers.

Dark. Intense.

Unreadable.

Not a hint of concern.

Not a trace of warmth.

Just observation.

As if he was measuring her.

Judging her.

For a second too long.

Vaishika’s heartbeat picked up.

Not out of fear—

but irritation.

Because she didn’t like being looked at like that.

The moment stretched.

Then snapped.

“It’s quite impressive,” he said, his voice low, controlled, carrying a sharp edge of irritation,

“how you manage to run without knowing where you’re going.”

Just like that—

the spell broke.

Vaishika blinked once.

Then her expression hardened.

“Excuse me?” she shot back instantly, pulling her hand out of his grip.

The warmth vanished.

Replaced by annoyance.

“I wasn’t the one standing in the middle of the path.”

A pause.

A dangerous one.

His jaw tightened slightly.

People didn’t talk to him like that.

They apologized.

They avoided.

They stayed careful.

But she—

she challenged.

“Then maybe,” he replied, his tone colder now,

“you should learn to watch where you’re going.”

Vaishika crossed her arms.

Calm posture.

Sharp eyes.

“Maybe you should learn not to block the way.”

Silence.

Not empty.

Heavy.

Charged.

Something shifted in the air between them.

Not anger.

Something else.

Something unfamiliar.

Rudharansh studied her closely.

Most people broke eye contact.

Most people stepped back.

But she didn’t.

She stood there.

Unmoved.

Unapologetic.

There was no fear in her eyes.

No hesitation.

Just quiet strength.

And that—

that caught his attention.

“First day?” he asked after a moment, his voice quieter now.

Vaishika raised an eyebrow.

“What gave it away?”

A flicker of something crossed his face.

Amusement?

Barely visible.

Gone before it could fully form.

“Try not to fall next time,” he said, stepping slightly aside, giving her space to pass.

Vaishika rolled her eyes.

“I didn’t plan to fall this time either.”

And without waiting—

without looking back—

she walked past him.

Her steps steady.

Her head high.

As if the moment meant nothing.

But it did.

Rudharansh didn’t move.

He stood there, watching her walk away.

His gaze lingered.

Thoughtful.

Curious.

There was something about her.

Something calm… yet fierce.

Something soft… yet unbreakable.

And for the first time in a long time—

someone hadn’t adjusted themselves for him.

A faint smirk touched his lips.

Small.

Dangerous.

Because something told him—

this wasn’t over.

Not even close.

And he was right.
