Chapter 5

‘author’s POV’

Shuhi went to her room, take a bath and set on her worktable as she has some paperwork to do. She is yawning and sleepy, but she has to finish her work because she needs it yesterday.

‘Shuhi’s POV’

I was doing work. Sometimes later I hear whistling sound and footstep sound in the lobby. That footstep sound stops at my room’s door, and maybe I know who he is! He knocks on my door, but I didn’t respond. I pretend to sleep on my desk to see what he will do. He knocks again but this time he enters in my room saying,

“I am coming inside; hope you don’t mind.”

“I knew it. Its Ayaan.” In mind

“Let’s see what he does!”

‘Ayaan’s POV’

I am walking in lobby because of taking bath, I can’t sleep now. I stop at Shuhi’s room and think to talk to her and tease her a little. I knock twice, but she didn’t answer, so I enter to see if nothing happens to her,

“I am coming inside; hope you don’t mind.”

I see her sleeping on her desk. I go closer to her. I smile seeing her sleeping face. She is more beautiful than the word I can use to describe her beauty.

I see her hair is blocking my way to see her face more properly. So, I slowly put her hair behind her ear and was going to put my fingers on her cheeks, but I can’t. I need her permission to touch her. I stop for some minutes looking at her, then I snap out and think of putting her on bed so she can sleep comfortably. I slowly lift her, making sure not to wake her. Furthermore, I laid her on bed and took off her slippers, then I covered her with a blanket. I smile looking at her and left the room closing the door slowly not making sound.

‘Shuhi’s POV’

I was first shocked when his fingers touch my cheek just little but that make me shiver. Did he just tuck my hair behind my ear!? His moves are so gentle that make me shiver every time. He touches my foot so softly without even touching it. I feel something in my heart, for sure. Why this guy taking care of me? Why?  I don’t know what this feeling is. I fell to sleep thinking, “why?”

Before sleeping there was a little smile on my face. I remember I smile but he shouldn’t do whatever he did we don’t know each other, and we are not that close. I was confused and asking myself again and again “why?”

“Why he did this? he shouldn’t touch another woman if he already has someone in his life, she will not like it!”

‘Next morning’

Everyone is having their breakfast quietly.

“Hey Ayaan, are you still engaged to Aaina?”  Shuhi break the silence but making it awkward.

Ayaan hesitates before speaking. He clears his throat and says,

“y..ye..yes!” he stops for seconds then speak, “why did you suddenly ask me this?”

“Just ask like that!”

“Wait, what? what are you guys talking about? Ayaan you! You are engaged? When? Where? How? With whom? And why?” Varun asked or we can say he rap so fast that make Ayaan and Shuhi too stunned to speak.

Then Shuhi snap out and speak, “you don’t know that he is engaged?” she said in mockingly, but she was not happy with this, she is little frustrated, but she doesn’t know this feeling of her yet.

“Excuse me, first of all I am not engaged okay! It’s just, it has been settled between families, but not final yet.” Ayaan said frustratedly in calm way. As if he wants to clarify things.

“Oh! So, you are not engaged but you will be soon.” Said Varun.

“Maybe or no, I don’t know. Can we please change the topic or just finish breakfast we have so much work to do today.”

‘author’s POV’

No one reply to him and start eating. They finish their breakfast and went to the landlord’s home for making some land deals which is why Ayaan is here in this village. Ayaan’s father is funding in the village for making 2nd hospital. They went to landlord for agreement and contract work. this hospital will be owned by Shuhi and Ayaan as they are the main investors. Its Shuhi’s father dream to open the hospital in the centre of the village so that anyone can get help as soon as possible. They done paperwork and went to see the land. The construction work has already started. They were looking around and passing by a big piece of wooden on the ground. Shuhi didn’t see that wooden and was about to step on it, but Ayaan pulls her towards him, she bumps into his broad chest. She looks up to his face; her face is still so close to his chest not touching but want to look at his face, so she takes her head little backword and lift up. Her one hand is on his chest and second one is interwound with his hand. Ayaan is holding her by her small, curved waist looking straight into her eyes. She looked away her cheeks start turning into cherry red. Her skin is sensitive so Ayaan can see that her cheek turned red. He smirks and says,

“Shy Haan!” he let go of her hand and waist laughing at her cuteness.

“Shut up” she said making angry face.

She walks away as fast as she can out of embarrassment. As she was walking without looking, she hurt herself by falling in the ground. Ayaan run to her and first laugh at her but then she stands up looking at him. She can’t hold her laugh looking at his smile, she laughs.

“Are you hurt?” Ayaan asks her. this time he is serious.

“No, I am fine. I'm not hurt”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, see.” She put her right leg forward for him to see.

“Blood, shit!”

“It hurts now” said Shuhi.

Ayaan immediately takes her to the nearby seat and make her seat.

“Seat here I will be back. Don’t go anywhere.” Ayaan said with little cold voice but not too much cold to scare her. his eyes were soft looking at her worryingly.

‘Ayaan’s POV’

I saw her angry face, which is so cute to resist. I knew that this would happen because she is clumsy from the start. I put my hand on my head seeing her fall and run to her worrying and hoping she is not hurt much.

I made her sit and went around looking for medical. On my way I remember one incidence from the past.

‘past’

“Semester changes and guess what Shuhi is in my class. I’m so happy”

I was walking while dancing little on my steps talking to myself.

“Stop being crazy, she is just in your class. She doesn’t even talk to you.”

“She will soon talk to me.”

I smile while replying.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, of course. Wait who is…?”

I snap out and look behind being scared. I was shocked looking at his face. I am so happy he is back. I immediately hug him then ask,

“When did you came bro?”

“Just on the time. I heard you like someone name Shuhi and now she is in your class.”

“Yes. She is so beautiful. But wait how do you know she doesn’t talk to me yet?”

“Just a guess, I know you more than anyone here. If she had talk to you then you must be unconscious by now.”

“Yaa, you are right bro”

I smile while saying this.

He laughed at me. He is my best friend Devan Kasana.

“How was your trip?” I asked.

“That was not trip dumbo. I was working as volunteer. But that was good I had so much fun. I missed you so much there. Hope we will go together next time, and you will be coming without any excuses.”

“I was coming this time too, but what should I do! I got some work of village, and my father was not available.”

“Yes, it’s okay next time you are coming or else I will kill you.”

“Yaa Yaaaa. Now stop nagging me let me show you my Shuhi let’s go to class. We are in same class, and we are late.”

I said with very calm voice then scram because we can’t be late for the first class of the new semester.

“RUNNN.”

While running,

“Did you check properly we are in same class?”

“of course, I check your name before checking mine. Why did you ask? You don’t want to be in same class as mine? I will kill you!”

“No, it’s just you will make my ear bleed because we all are in same class.”

We entered in the class on the same time with the girls, Shuhi and Aahana. And Shuhi didn't show the door handle because of rush and she got hurt. I stand Infront of her to check on her. before me her friend asks first,

“Are you okay? It hurts?”

“No, it’s fine. I’m okay. Let’s get in.”

She looks at me before going inside.

It was for some seconds but,

“That was so deep! (her eyes)”

“Huh? What are you saying? Let’s go we are late.”

Devan said and pulled me in with him while I’m so in my thought.
