Immediately after finishing his speech, he bypassed the crowd and headed straight to the bar. Grabbing a lemon juice, he retreated to a secluded corner. Mr. Jeon watched his son's peculiar actions, then turned to the crowd and said, "Please, enjoy yourselves."

​Everyone returned to their festivities. Jungkook put the straw of his lemon juice in his mouth and pulled his phone from his pocket. He opened his gallery to find a photo of a girl—she was sitting in a garden, wearing a black round-neck frock. Her jet-black hair was spread out on the ground, and she held a rabbit in her lap. It was clearly a screenshot taken from someone’s social media story. Jungkook smiled slightly.

​A moment later, he gave a crooked smirk and muttered to himself, "How long has it been since I saw you in person, Y/N? My heart burns so much for you... This stubbornness of yours isn't good, baby..." (He dragged out the words).

​Jungkook stared at the girl’s deep, dark, burning eyes on the screen—they looked just like the eyes of a black swan. He placed his finger on the red lips displayed on the screen. He couldn't take his eyes off her. In an intoxicated voice, he whispered, "You've become so much more beautiful than before, my black swan."

​The Next Day

​Jungkook was fully dressed and sat at the table for breakfast. Mrs. Jeon was placing snacks on his plate when she said, "Your brother is coming home tonight for a two-day break."

​Jungkook said nothing, just continued eating quietly. She spoke again, "Your aunt called. Apparently, it will take another two years for Y/N to finish her studies. And she mentioned something else..."

​Jungkook looked up and asked, "What did she say?"

​"Y/N auditioned for singing... and she got selected."

​Hearing this, food fell from Jungkook's mouth, and he started coughing. After drinking some water, he asked, "Who told you? Did Aunt tell you?"

​"Yes."

​"SHIT!"

​In an instant, Jungkook’s anger flared. He said in a heated voice, "This is all because of your eldest son! Playing around with Y/N like that..." Suddenly, his words got stuck in his throat. In a deep, strained voice, he added, "He didn't have to do that."

​He didn't say another word. He left the table without eating and walked outside. His mother called out from behind, "Eat something!" But her voice didn't reach him. He quickly walked to his car and started the engine. With a screech of tires, his car sped out of the villa.

​Sitting in the car, his body trembling with rage, Jungkook thought, "What will happen if it goes on like this? She will go even further away from me... No, no. Shit, shit. Damn. Did I love you any less? You only understood Hyung's love, but you didn't understand mine. You only want to flaunt your stubbornness. Once I get a chance, I will make you pay for the pain you are giving me.But this punishment will be bittersweet. Which you will enjoy every day. I am waiting, I will wait for another two years. If I have to, I will wait a lifetime. I will erase your dark chapters. I will be your past, your present, and your future. If you are not mine, then I will burn your world to the ground, Y/N!" (He laughed, a dark, crooked smile on his face).
