The sound of armored footsteps echoed through the chamber.
Heavenly soldiers.
They surrounded Kayel, their weapons pointed toward him.
A cold voice broke the silence.
“So… you finally found this place,” the leader said, stepping forward. “Faster than we expected.”
Another soldier smirked. “It’s been a long time, Kayel. You still look the same… arrogant as ever.”
The leader’s eyes narrowed.
“You may have come here… but you won’t leave without our permission.”
He pointed his blade at Kayel.
“If you wish to live, leave the soul and surrender.
Otherwise… you both die here.”
Silence.
Kayel slowly lifted his gaze.
“Me… die?” he said softly, almost amused.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
“I think you’ve forgotten who I am.”
The air around him grew heavy.
“Do you really believe… you can stop me?”
His eyes turned cold.
“Even your gods couldn’t stop me from taking her.”
The soldiers tightened their grip on their weapons.
“Then we grant you death,” the leader declared.
In the next moment—
They attacked.
Blades clashed. Light exploded across the chamber.
But Kayel… did not move in fear.
He moved like a storm.
Every strike they made… he blocked. Every attack… he survived.
And then—
He spoke.
“My turn.”
A dark aura erupted from his body.
His armor formed around him, glowing with a deadly energy. His sword appeared in his hand—its blade turning crimson, thirsting for blood.
In a single step—
He vanished.
And in the next second—
Slash.
Silence.
The soldiers froze.
Then… one by one… they fell.
All of them.
With just one strike.
Kayel stood in the middle of their broken bodies… untouched.
Only the leader remained.
Before he could react—
Kayel was already in front of him.
He grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into the air.
“Now…” Kayel said coldly, tightening his grip.
“Your turn.”
The leader struggled, gasping for air.
“How could you forget… who I am?” Kayel whispered.
“You are nothing… in front of me.”
The leader forced a weak laugh.
“Do you really think heaven will let you go?” he said. “If you kill me… you won’t escape either.”
Kayel’s eyes darkened.
“So now… you threaten me with heaven?”
A dangerous smile appeared.
“I’ll deal with them… after you’re dead.”
He tightened his grip—
“Wait!” the leader shouted desperately. “I’ll tell you something… something you don’t know!”
Kayel paused.
His eyes narrowed.
“When death stands before you… you choose to bargain?”
The leader nodded quickly.
“Nyra… is alive.”
Everything stopped.
Kayel’s grip loosened for a second.
“What… did you say?”
Then suddenly—his grip tightened again, stronger than before.
“Say that again,” he growled. “Do you want to die painfully?”
“I’m telling the truth!” the leader gasped. “She’s alive… in the mortal world. She has already been reborn!”
Kayel’s eyes widened.
“But her soul is here…” he whispered.
“How can she be reborn?”
The leader struggled to speak.
“If you don’t believe me… go to Earth and see for yourself…”
Kayel slowly released him, but his gaze remained deadly.
“If you lied to me…” he said coldly, “I will give you a death beyond pain.”
The leader fell to his knees, coughing.
“I swear… I’m telling the truth. But listen carefully…”
Kayel’s expression hardened.
The leader continued—
“She was reborn with an incomplete soul.”
He pointed weakly at the glowing sphere in Kayel’s hand.
“That… is only half of her soul.”
Kayel froze.
“You must return it to her… or she will die.”
Silence filled the chamber.
“And you don’t have much time.”
Kayel stood there… unmoving.
Shock. Fear. Rage.
All mixing within his eyes.
For the first time…
The warrior who feared nothing… looked unprepared for the truth.
Nyra…
Alive.
