Chapter 2: The party and the punishment

The party

The evening sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the estate. Guests were flooding in the house. Ava was busy in the kitchen, helping the maids prepare for the party.

The air was thick with smell of foods and anticipation. The hall was filled with different faces ,thick with strong perfume.

Ava weaved through the crowd, a tray of drinks balanced precariously in her hands, she was a pro at this, dodging elbows and smiles , serving tables to tables.

MARCUS POV

while seated waiting for my parents who left a minute ago, to talk about business. seated here I sighted a girl, she was fucking tempting. Her ass was waving at me to touch, the way she moved her hip, her breast moved along with her.

"F*ck! it made me hard" , her body was well curved, "f*ck, she is hot" ,I murmurred adjusting my tie.

Too bad, she is a servant and I can get them anytime I want .

Then I noticed she was coming to my table to serve, "Great" , I murmurred to myself.

She poured the soup into my bowl, I met her eyes. I licked my lips ,staring at her. I tired to flirt with her, but she freaking turned me down.

 I brushed my hand against hers as she served my drink .

she quickly pulled away , her eyes downcast.

I leaned in , my voice low and menacing. "you are playing hard to get ,huh? I will get u soon".

I noticed as she reacted a little, she didn't show it , she was keeping her expression neutral.

I brushed my hand against her thigh, she quickly pulled away.

Her face expressionless

"Excuse me sir", I heard her say.

God!! , she is making my already hard member hard. I was loving the feeling of her playing hard to get.

She quickly moved to the next table to avoid me.

AVA POV

while I was serving, I noticed a pair of eyes were on me.

Turning around to meet the pairs of eyes, it was a man seated alone, with a forced smile I moved to serve his meal.

He was just staring at me, his eyes caught mine , he tired flirting with me as I poured the soup into the bowl.

I politely turned him down.

I don't want to have anything to do with my father's guest, it can never end up good.

He brushed his hand against mine, while I was serving his drink .

I quickly pulled my hands away, my eyes downcast.

He leaned in his voice low and meancing. "you are playing hard to get huh? I will get you soon", he said.

My heart skipped a beat but I didn't show it , I kept my expression neutral. He brushed his hand against his thigh.

I moved quickly.

"Excuse me sir", I said quickly and left , moving to the next table.

Gosh what's some people problem.

I quickly went to get the next dishes

Ava rushed, her ankle twisting as the tray of hot soup in her hands shatter .

The soup cascaded unto mrs cassandra silk dress, staining it crimson.

The room froze , all eyes on her, mrs cassandra gaze narrowed, her voice like a lizard hiss, "useless bitch !! look at what you have done!!", she spat.

Ava parents erupted, their words whipping her like a belt. "shameless lazy piece of shit".

Ava eyes welled up with tears, " I'm sorry ma'am...I didn't mea..n to, it was an accident", she stutter.

Her father voice cut through the air, sharp as knife, words only two of them could her, "You will pay for this wretch , you will regret, mark my words".

"Get out now!!", he roared.

The guest began to mur mur , their voices raising in a cacophony of shock and excitement.

Ava felt a hand on her arm, pulling her away from the table and the mess, it was her only friend Anna, whose eyes where full of sympathy.

"Allow me sir , madam", Anna said to them turning her attention to Ava.

"Come Ava let's get you cleaned", she whispered.

As they walk away, ava caught a glimpse of her family face .

Her father's face was stern , his eyes cold and unforgiving, her brother and sister were smirking at her, their eyes gleaming with amusement.

Only Lucas looked at me with a glimmer of sympathy.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of one person marcus.

He was saying something to her but she couldn't her it.

She could only lip read what he was saying "I . will. get. you. soon. ".

she shrink and looked away.

The maids looked at Ava , some with sympathy, some with disdain. but she ignored there, they weren't her problem.

Anna led Ava to the kitchen, where the head cook was waiting with a stern expression.

"you are in big trouble, young lady", she said shaking her head . " you know what happens when you make a mistake".

" it wa..s an accident, a mistake, it wasn't...intent..ional", I stutter.

But the head cook only shakes her head and said nothing.

My heart sank, I knew what was coming, and I was going to be good.

The head cook handed me a can of cleaning solution and and a cloth. "clean up the mess and change".

Ava knew , she knew she was in for a world of trouble

THIRD POV

Laughter and giggles were heard from the side of the kitchen.

"serves her right" , one maid whispered.

"yeah ,she thinks she is the daughter of this house", one of the maid chipped in.

" Daughter my ass , more like a sex slave" the other said

" yeah ,a sex slave, made to satisfy other people, her parents choose ".

they all laughed

" A sex slave , a bargain goods her parents hated since she opened her eyes to the world ", one of them said smiling

" and she thinks she is great , she is more like in our level , more lower because of u know ", she mocked .

" I see you all have a lot of time to do some talking Huh!?", the head maid said barging into the kitchen.

No Ma'am!!!! they all said in unison scrambling out of the kitchen.

THE DEAL

The Johnson's and the Treason family that is marcus and Ava parents, retreated to the study there faces serious.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and the ruined dress ,we will compensate for it , mr and mrs Johnson".

"yeah ,yeah keep that to yourself ", mrs cassandra said already pissed .

"Mr victor let finalize the deal before i change my mind", me Gabriel said almost losing it .

"Yes, yes let not be pissed off now", Mr victor said his greed already calculating , bringing out the contract, only to be stopped

"But" mr Gabriel suddenly said.

"But , what is the matter now,Gabriel ,this deal will benefits both of us .

"Before we sign the deal , we want that maid , the only with the fair skin and blonde hair , the one that spilled the soup on me , almost burning my skin, for a day , my son has his eyes on her , Do u agree , Mr victor ". mrs cassandra declared.

"That wretch , what are we waiting for , we agree, as long as it pleases you and she will be returned back, we don't have a problem", mrs catherine chipped in.

The deal was sealed , the contract was signed, Ava parents smiled, relieved.

"Good after the punishment, we send her to you", Her father said.

THE PUNISHMENT

The guard barge into Ava tiny room, dragging her like a prisoner to the punishment room.

She stole a glance of he surrounding, she saw her sister lingered outside her mouth moved to only something ava would hear.

"you are so dead", she said a sly smile spreading across her face.

The guard grip on Ava was like a vice.

The whip cracked, a sound that sent shivers down her spine, the sound she was use to , the treatment she receives when she did something wrong , even if it was by mistake .

AVA POV

My parents voices rose , an uproar of anger and frustration.

"it was a mistake, I swear , it wasn't intentional",I tried saying but they weren't even listening to me .

I was lay down , but I was like also kneeing down, my back was bare.

The whip came down, a sharp crack echoing through the room as it struck my skin.

I screamed, the pain exploding like a firework in my mind. my mom stood by , her face stern and unyielding.

Lucas looked at Ava with a hint of sympathy and mixed emotions, but said nothing. Ethan and Sophia however, seemed to revel in her misery, their eyes gleaming with Malice.

"You deserve this", her father spat , his voice venomous. " you are a clueless things".

The whip cracked again this time more harder than the first.

My vision blurred , I felt the warm trickle of blood down my back , the sting of the whip a constant reminder of my worthlessness.

As the punishment continued, the family's greed and cruelty seemed to grow, their eyes gleaming with a malevolent light. They were monsters, feeding from her pains and suffering.

Finally, the beating was over . The guard dragged Ava away , her body a mess of bruises and cuts.

Her father washed his hands, as if cleansing himself of any guilt.

" Get ready you will be sent to them ", he told her.

Ava heart sank , her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. she knew what lay ahead , she couldn't bear to think about.
