...Chapter - 2...
They gathered around the bonfire separately far from other groups only 5 girls, but this time they were with plenty cans of beer. It was the surprise prepared by Jiya & 2 other girls. Not only their school was here for camping, but some other colleges & School's students also gathered here as this was the season of camping.
"Look you have only one chance just drink it or else you will lose it again", Siya told them while grabbing one can from the black polythene bag.
"What if they get to know about this?", Sara asked fearfully.
"We all will go inside the tent immediately after finishing them.", Jiya said while nodding at everyone.
"Let's forget our pain",all said together while clinking the cans together.
The teachers were sitting in their own group & that was so far from theirs. That was why they were not afraid of punishments & this night was full of giggles, chatting, laughs, mumbles everyone was drowned into their own enjoyment. So no one was there to pay attention on students as this was their last night to enjoy.
An hours later everyone was fully drunk , but fortunately all were lying there. But suddenly Siya stood up & hiccup begin to annoy her. Soon the other 4 girls also stood up & they all were trying their best to keep their eyes open.
"My head is drooling like this rivers' water.", Sara said while holding her head. Soon Jiya started crying, "He didn't talk to me nicely. These days he is being too rude with me.", she completed her statement while sobbing.
"I told you to not give him so much priority, but you never listen to me", Mehula said while trying to stand still, but kept trembling.
"You also never listen to me. How many times I told you to forget him, but look you always ignore me like I'm some kind of thorn between your & his way.", Jiya said while sitting down near the bonfire & shivered a little.
"I can't forget him, I tried before but failed.", Mehula said again in her drunky voice while making a pout. Suddenly Siya said she wants to throw out then Amira went with her who had a better tolerance in bearing alcohol than others & she was a little bit of sobber.
But Sara & Jiya were totally zoned out cause of the intoxicating drink. Mehula started wandering towards that tree again, her footsteps were stumbling, but still she kept walking while mumbling something.
Suddenly she froze & her lips got nailed into an upturned, slight smile. She heard an unknown, undeniable pleasant, but heart wrenching tune. It was the tune of guitar. She never & ever heard a melody like this, before. She herself was a lyricist, wrote ton of pages of beautiful, rhyme filled, emotion stained songs lyrics, but always failed whenever it comes to give them their perfect music. She always failed in those music notes, tunes.
She read over a book & there was a beautiful line, "What comes first, words or the melody?", she asked him. "Always the melody.", he replied while playing his guitar..
Similarly, he was the melody that her soul was longing to hear & she herself was the words that remained stuck into her heart, unspoken.
She can fill the ton of pages by the ink of her unspoken, silent, emotion filled, love filled words, but she can never give them the melody that they are longing to get. Cause he is her melody & he just left the traces of his melody while leaving her alone. He left her, but she thinks he is the reason behind his ignorance.
She ignored the tune & went towards the tree & sat near on the rock, plucked a small flower from the ground it was a wildflower.
She started plucking the petal of the flower, one by one.
While saying- "Should I forget him now?"
"Or not."
"Should I forget him now?"
"Or not."
"Should I forget him now?"
"Or not!"
Soon she got interrupted by a manly voice. She turned her gaze to that direction while pouting in anger. She saw a guy standing beside her but she didn't see his face clearly nor recognize him cause of the reaction of that intoxication.
"Forget him! If you are confused between still sticking with him or leaving him", that boy who was standing beside her, almost hovering above her said & her heart skipped a beat the moment she heard his voice. So deep, rough still pleasant.
His voice just echoed like a new song of this year into her mind. She never & ever heard this voice before still she felt it so familiar like her soul was longing to hear it.
His gaze was fixed on the flowing water, not even caring about the girl who is looking at him. "I didn't ask your opinion.", she said in drunken voice but it was almost a whisper. "But I said cause you kept repeating the same thing", he said again still not taking off his gaze from the river.
"I tried to, but always end up holding him. I don't want to forget him. Only his hope is making me feel alive.", she said while bearing those colourless blood into her eyes.
Mehula shook her head while turning her gaze down back at that flower. She didn't say anything when she didn't get any reply in turn, but the numbness she was feeling, she can't even describe.
He cleared his throat to say something, "These are just words, no one really meant them. I bet you, you'll forget him soon." His voice- it made her lips again drawn into a smile, but this time it was a genuine one. She didn't smile on his statement, but she smiled after hearing his voice.
His voice, it's somehow consoling her soul. It's providing the relief on her restless heart, on her self made wounds. His voice is melting like a melody into her heart. It's echoing into her abondon soul. But soon his voice started fading & his words starting scattering, as a sharp pain ran into her brain by the speed of light.
She held her forehead by one hand & grabbed a hold on the rock for balancing herself by another hand, but soon she fell as she zoned out, she lost her all senses.
