Kinako smirked weakly. “Finally. A crazy plan.”

Kinako gathered all remaining energy into one shot.
“Make it count…” she whispered.
Rosolen ran straight into the flames, screaming, drawing Mimogo’s attention.
“HEY! OVER HERE!”
Mimogo turned. “Brave… or stupid?”
Rosolen smiled. “Both.”
At that moment—
Akaiyo dashed through the fire from the side.
Fast.
Silent.
Precise.
Kinako fired.
A blinding beam shot forward, cutting through the flames, hitting Mimogo directly—
He turned to block—

Akaiyo looked at the fading ashes.

His voice was quiet.
“He’s not dead.”

Mimogo opened his eyes.
And smiled.
