Hearts in Danger

Morning arrived quietly, but for Kang Jae-min, nothing felt the same.

He stood by the glass walls of his penthouse, watching the city wake beneath him. Yet his thoughts weren’t on business, power, or enemies.

They were on her.

Han Soo-yeon.

A name he had no reason to remember… yet couldn’t forget.

Later that day, the small café door chimed softly.

Soo-yeon looked up—and froze.

He was there.

Clean, composed, dressed in black. No trace of the injured man from last night… except his eyes. Still cold, still unreadable—yet softer when they met hers.

“You came back,” she said, surprised.

“I had to,” Jae-min replied calmly. “To return the favor.”

He placed money on the counter.

She frowned slightly. “I didn’t help you for this.”

For a moment, silence filled the space.

Then, unexpectedly, he sat down.

“I’ll have coffee,” he said.

That was the beginning.

Days passed.

Jae-min kept coming back.

Not as a mafia boss—but as a quiet stranger sitting in the corner, watching her smile, listening to her voice. Soo-yeon found herself waiting for him without realizing it.

Their conversations were simple.

“Do you always look this serious?” she teased once.

“Do you always talk this much?” he replied.

She laughed.

And just like that, something fragile… began to grow.

But shadows never stay far.

One evening, as Soo-yeon closed the café, a black car stopped nearby. Men stepped out—faces hidden, intentions clear.

“Are you Han Soo-yeon?” one of them asked coldly.

Fear gripped her.

Before she could answer—

A voice cut through the air.

“Step away.”

Jae-min appeared.

Different this time.

His presence turned heavy, dangerous. The warmth she knew… gone. The men hesitated, recognizing him instantly.

“Boss…” one whispered, shocked.

Without another word, Jae-min moved—fast, precise. Within seconds, the threat was gone. The street fell silent again.

Soo-yeon stared at him, trembling.

“Who… are you?” she asked softly.

Jae-min didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, he stepped closer, his voice low.

“Someone you should stay away from.”

But she didn’t move.

“I’m not scared of you,” she said.

That sentence hit harder than any bullet.

For the first time, Jae-min felt something crack inside him.

He looked at her—not as a boss, not as a weapon…

But as a man.

That night, orders spread across the underworld:

“No one touches Han Soo-yeon.”

But far away, in a dark office, someone smiled.

“So… the king has found a weakness.”

Back at the café, Soo-yeon stood alone, her heart racing.

She should have been afraid.

She should have walked away.

But instead…

She whispered his name softly, as if it already belonged to her world.

“Jae-min…”

And somewhere in the city, he paused—like he had heard it.

Because love had begun to bloom…

Right in the middle of danger. 💔🔥

Even fate couldn’t stop what was already written between them.
