The meet of a lifetime

"Eri I need this report by today get to work!" shouted Mr.Macmillan as he walked back to his office.

Eri let out a sigh, "it's only my second month here, and I'm already being shouted at what a life."

Eri quickly started on the report as she could not afford to lose this job. After all she had bills and student loans to pay. She finished the report in no time and started to rush to her boss's office hoping to receive praise for her speed in finishing the report but Mr. Macmillan didn't even glance at the report.Eri walked back to her desk utterly defeated, after all the work she put into the report just for her boss to not even spare a glance at it. After work, she walked to the mall to see if there was anything interesting to buy. She entered the mall only to see the same old stores with the same old products until one store in particular caught her eye it was a game store. She had never seen it Before furthermore, she had originally decided not to go to the store, but curiosity got the better of her.

Inside the store she saw laptops, switches, monitors and much more but one particular gaming setup grabbed her attention.I Itlooked like I was just sitting there calling her name waiting for her to buy it.Eri knew she didn't have the money because she needed to pay her bills and student loans.

"I haven't treated myself in a long time it's about time I get something for myself."Eri thought.

She told the worker that she wanted to buy the setup. She pulled out her card and swiped it in doing so she felt apart of her soul left her body. As she knew the digits on her card are now in the negatives but that nothing a few weeks of overtime can't fix.They told her that it would be delivered to her apartment by midnight, she wwalkedhome looking like the happiest girl alive.

She arrived home kicked her shoes off and quickly ran to the shower to tidy herself up. After her shower she felt refreshed like a weight had been lifted off of her.she went to the kitchen to start preparing dinner for herself but all she felt like eating was her mother's homemade soup. Luckily she had some leftover soup in the fridge that she just needed to heat up in the microwave. She happily ate her soup on the couch while watching bad TV. When Eri was done with her dinner she washed the dishes and returned to the couch and checked the time on her phone.It showed that it was 10:15 pm,, so she only had to wait a couple of hours to finally play on her new gaming setup .In the meantime she decided to watch one of her favorite movies, love in the air.A romantic movie about two lovers in a long distance relationship.

A couple hours later

She heard the doorbell ring.

"That must be my new gaming setup." She said.

Eri walks to the door and opens it.She saw her package and hurriedly dragged it inside . She immediately started to tear the package open excited to set up and finally play on her new setup.She sat right on the floor of her bedroom and started to assemble her setup. In half an hour she had fully assembled her gaming setup.

Eri immediately started to look for games to play out of the large variety of games available.She kept scrolling and scrolling until she reached the very bottom she saw a game called my happy love life it only had one active player. She joined anyway just because the game looked interesting. As soon as she joined the game told her to design her character, she decided to give her character a simple white dress, black hair and light blue eyes. She wanted to keep it simple and to make her character reflect herself as she wasn't an extravagant person.

After she was done designing her character she clicked the next button to move on to the next part of the game. The next part was to join the online server and meet the other player. She hoped that they had not left yet as she really wanted to talk to someone online as she believed that it was part of the gaming experience. In a few seconds she was finally on the server. Immediately after she joined she saw a simple "hi" in the chat. Not wanting to be rude she sent one back.

The player then responded asking her about her day.

She replied with a "good"

She then typed that she would be back the next night because she had work tomorrow. The other player then typed that they understood. Eri said her goodbyes logged off and went to bed

This novel is going to be short as it is my first novel and I have exams soon. The novel is probably going to have 1-3 or 1-5 chapters depending on how much time I have as I will try to work on the novel in my free time.
