The university looked completely different at night.

Quiet hallways.

Dim lights.

Soft rain outside the windows.

Kim Taehyung sat dramatically sprawled across a chair like detention was a luxury vacation.

His phone played music softly while he spun a pen between his fingers.

The clock hit exactly 8:00 PM.

The classroom door opened.

Professor Jeon Jungkook walked in wearing a black coat over his suit, hair slightly messy from rain.

Taehyung almost forgot how to breathe again.

God.

Why was this man so attractive doing absolutely nothing?

“You’re late,” Taehyung said casually.

Jungkook placed books on the desk. “I said eight. It’s eight.”

“Still rude.”

Jungkook ignored him.

“Sit properly.”

“No.”

“Taehyung.”

The younger smiled slowly at hearing his name without “Mr. Kim.”

“Oh? No professor title?”

Jungkook froze for half a second.

Taehyung noticed immediately.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

“You talk too much,” Jungkook muttered.

“And you stare too much.”

Silence.

The rain outside grew louder.

Jungkook finally sat across from him.

“Write a ten-page apology on academic discipline.”

Taehyung gasped dramatically. “You wound me.”

“Start.”

Instead of writing, Taehyung rested his chin on his palm while staring openly at Jungkook.

The professor tried ignoring it for exactly three minutes.

Then—

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

Taehyung smiled.

“Because you’re handsome.”

Jungkook pinched the bridge of his nose.

“You flirt with everyone?”

“No.”

“Really?”

“I flirt with people I like.”

The answer came too quickly.

Too honestly.

For the first time that night, Jungkook looked directly into Taehyung’s eyes.

The teasing was still there.

But underneath?

Something softer.

Something real.

Dangerous.

“You shouldn’t say things like that to your professor.”

“Why?” Taehyung whispered. “Does it affect you?”

Jungkook’s jaw tightened immediately.

Taehyung noticed every reaction.

Every tiny loss of control.

And he loved it.

The younger suddenly stood and walked toward the professor’s desk.

“Sit down,” Jungkook warned quietly.

“But I’m bored.”

“Taehyung.”

“Professor Jeon,” Taehyung mocked sweetly, stopping right in front of him. “You keep saying my name like you’re trying not to think about me.”

Jungkook slowly stood up too.

Now they were close.

Very close.

Taehyung hated how his heart suddenly raced.

Jungkook was taller.

Broader.

Intimidating.

But his eyes?

They looked almost desperate.

“You enjoy playing games,” Jungkook said softly.

Taehyung tilted his head. “Maybe.”

“And what happens when the game becomes real?”

The playful smile on Taehyung’s lips faded slightly.

The tension between them felt suffocating.

Neither moved away.

Rain hit the windows harder.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung’s face carefully.

Pretty eyes.

Pink lips.

Tiny mole near his nose.

The boy was trouble wrapped in beauty.

“You should go home,” Jungkook murmured finally.

But Taehyung didn’t move.

Instead—

he reached up suddenly and fixed Jungkook’s crooked tie.

The professor stopped breathing.

“There,” Taehyung whispered innocently. “Now you look less stressed.”

Big mistake.

Because Jungkook’s hand instantly grabbed Taehyung’s wrist.

Firm.

Possessive.

Taehyung’s breath hitched.

“Do you have any idea,” Jungkook said quietly, “how dangerous you are?”

The room went silent.

Neither looked away.

Taehyung’s heartbeat became ridiculous.

Yet even then—

his bratty mouth refused to behave.

“Dangerous enough for you to keep holding my hand like this?”

Jungkook immediately released him.

Both stepped back.

Reality crashing down hard.

Professor.

Student.

Wrong.

So wrong.

Jungkook turned away first.

“You can leave.”

This time Taehyung didn’t joke.

Didn’t tease.

He simply stared at Jungkook’s back for a long moment.

Then quietly picked up his bag.

At the door, he stopped.

“Goodnight, Jungkook.”

Not professor.

Just Jungkook.

The older closed his eyes briefly after Taehyung left.

Because hearing his name from Taehyung’s lips felt far too good.

And that was a problem.
