CHAPTER:- 4

...EYES ON A BOY ...

( Rattanakour Mansion ———— Night )

.........

The grand bedroom was adorned with opulent decor, but it still exuded a sense of emptiness and isolation. Dark, heavy drapes framed the large windows and expensive artwork lined the walls. A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over the room. Despite its grandeur, the room felt cold and uninviting.

A man in a black suit entered the room, his footsteps barely making a sound on the posh carpet. He moved with the precision and confidence of someone accustomed to such surroundings. He paused near the center of the room, waiting.

From the adjacent bathroom, the sound of running water ceased. Moments later, Kitt emerged, his hair wet and glistening under the light. He wore a black robe that clung to his muscular frame, showcasing his defined abs.

"What's the update?" Kitt asked, his voice steady and commanding.

"I took care of the body, sir," the bodyguard replied, standing at attention.

"Good, and the boy?" keit inquired, moving to the dresser and picking up a towel. He began drying his hair, his piercing eyes fixed on his reflection in the mirror.

"We are keeping an eye on him, sir," the bodyguard informed him.

"Find out everything about him," the bodyguard confirmed.

"Good," keit said, his eyes never leaving his own piercing gaze in the mirror. He smirked slightly, a dangerous glint in his eyes. Let's see what he does next."

The bodyguard nodded and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him. Keit's thoughts drifted to the terrified face of the boy he had seen running away — the face of Lucas. He recalled the fear in his eyes and the way he gasped and stumbled in terror.

A sinister smile curled his lips as he muttered to himself, "What should I do with you?!".

...(HE NEXT DAY ———— NAN'S ROOM)...

The next morning, Lucas was still wide awake, his mind replaying the terrifying events from the previous evening. He hadn't slept a blink, haunted by the image of the murder and the looming threat of being watched. As down broke down, he heard a gentle concerned voice.

"Son are you camping out? Breakfast is ready," his mother called softly.

Lucas took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He knows he had to pull himself and act normally to keep his family from worrying, and with a forced smile, he opened the door.

"Are you okay, Lucas?" his mom asked.

"I'm okay," he said brightly, his voice betraying none of the fear he felt inside.

His father looked at him, his brow furrowed with concern. "Are you sure? You don't look well, Lucas."

"Yes, father, I'm sure. I just had an argument with my friends," he lied smoothly, hoping his facade was convincing enough.

His sister Nina, who was already at the dining table was mouthful of food," I told you he's okay. You guys worry too much.

Lucas's mother enveloped him in a warm hug." Get ready, you're getting late for college," She said, her tone laced with both relief and lingering concern.

Lucas's nodded, returning the hug tightly.
