Destiny Wrote Us Twice

Destiny Wrote Us Twice

EPISODE -1 His Rules, Her Freedom

EPISODE -1 “The Sleeping Disaster”

Mumbai never truly slept.

Even before sunrise painted the sky orange, the city was already awake local trains roaring through crowded stations, expensive cars slicing through traffic, tea vendors shouting for customers, and giant glass buildings shining proudly under the morning light.

Among those buildings stood the most feared corporate empire in Mumbai:

Kapoor Industries.

A massive tower of glass and steel.

Power lived there.

And so did fear.

Employees rushed through the revolving doors with laptops clutched tightly in their hands. Receptionists fixed their posture nervously. Managers checked files again and again.

Everyone whispered the same thing.

“CEO sir aa gaye kya?”

Then suddenly—

A sleek black luxury car stopped at the entrance.

The door opened slowly.

And he stepped out.

Vaibhav Kapoor.

Perfectly tailored black suit.

Sharp jawline.

Cold eyes.

Calm expression.

The kind of man who didn’t need to raise his voice to scare people.

Security guards immediately stood straight.

Even senior managers lowered their eyes respectfully.

Vaibhav walked inside without wasting a second.

The office atmosphere changed instantly.

Meetings began exactly on time.

Files were arranged perfectly.

Nobody dared laugh loudly.

Because everyone in Kapoor Industries knew one thing very clearly

Vaibhav Kapoor hated mistakes.

Inside his luxurious office, sunlight reflected against the dark minimalist interiors. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the entire city. Awards decorated one side of the room while a giant portrait of his late father hung silently behind him.

Vaibhav sat at his desk, checking reports with complete focus.

Beside him stood his assistant,

Sia Malhotra.

Elegant. Smart. Efficient.

And secretly in love with him.

“Sir,” she said softly, holding a tablet, “Singapore clients shifted the meeting to eleven.”

Without even looking up, Vaibhav replied,

“Reschedule my lunch, not the meeting.”

Sia smiled faintly.

Even his discipline impressed her.

Meanwhile outside the office cabin, panic continued.

One employee had arrived three minutes late.

Another presentation contained a spelling mistake.

Vaibhav looked at the report once and closed the file.

“Small mistakes become big failures.”

Silence spread through the room immediately.

Nobody argued.

Nobody breathed too loudly.

Because this was Vaibhav Kapoor’s world.

Perfect.

Controlled.

Emotionless.

And then there was another world entirely.

A tiny middle-class house filled with noise, laughter, and complete chaos.

Pressure cooker whistles echoed from the kitchen.

The television blasted some old Bollywood song.

Someone shouted for missing socks.

And in the middle of this madness—

Kaira Sharma was sleeping peacefully under her blanket.

Completely unaware of the disaster waiting for her.

Her mother,

Sunita Sharma, screamed from the kitchen,

“KAIRAAAAA!”

No response.

Her younger brother,

Chiku Sharma, jumped directly on her bed.

Still nothing.

Finally her grandmother,

Dadi Sharma, sighed dramatically.

“Ye ladki shaadi ke din bhi soti rahegi.”

The entire family burst into laughter.

Kaira finally opened one eye lazily.

Then she looked at the clock.

8:47 AM.

Her interview was at nine.

For two full seconds, silence filled the room.

Then—

“WHAT?!”

Chaos exploded instantly.

Kaira ran across the house brushing her teeth while searching for clothes. One shoe was black, the other dark blue. Her hair looked like it had survived a cyclone. Toast burned inside the kitchen while Chiku stole her charger and ran away laughing.

“Chikuuuu!”

“Catch me first!”

Sunita kept yelling instructions while Dadi continued giving dramatic commentary like a cricket commentator.

In all this madness, her father,

Rajesh Sharma, quietly walked toward her.

He placed some folded money in her hand and smiled gently.

“Tension mat le beta.”

For a second, Kaira stopped panicking.

She hugged him tightly.

Then grabbed her bag and sprinted outside.

Half an hour later, Kaira stood in front of Kapoor Industries completely breathless.

The building looked too expensive even to breathe near.

Luxury cars lined the entrance.

Employees in formal suits walked confidently through glass doors.

Kaira suddenly became conscious of everything about herself.

Her messy hair.

Untied shoelace.

Mismatched earrings.

And the sandwich still stuck in her hand.

At reception, the receptionist,

Roshni, looked her up and down judgmentally.

While signing the entry form, Kaira accidentally spilled water everywhere.

“Sorry… sorry… very sorry…”

Flustered and nervous, she quickly rushed toward the elevator without checking properly.

The doors closed behind her.

Only then did she realize—

Someone else was already inside.

Tall.

Silent.

Terrifyingly calm.

Vaibhav Kapoor.

Kaira slowly looked up.

And froze completely.

Vaibhav’s eyes scanned her appearance once.

Untied shoelace.

Messy hair.

Different earrings.

Sandwich in hand.

His expression almost looked offended by her existence.

Kaira gave an awkward smile.

“Good morning?”

His voice came cold and sharp.

“Who allowed you in this elevator?”

Kaira blinked.

“Elevator bhi reserved hota hai?”

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Vaibhav simply stared at her.

And for the first time in years, someone had spoken to him without fear.

The interview went even worse.

Kaira entered the conference room forty-two minutes late.

Senior HR members already looked irritated.

She tried apologizing while fixing her bag and hair together.

Then suddenly the room stood up at once.

Vaibhav entered.

Kaira also hurried to stand but her chair got stuck awkwardly behind her.

Wonderful.

Just wonderful.

Vaibhav sat down and picked up her resume.

“What makes you think Kapoor Industries should hire you?”

Kaira swallowed nervously.

Then answered honestly,

“Honestly… mujhe bhi nahi pata.”

The room looked horrified.

Sia closed her eyes in disappointment.

But strangely—

Vaibhav became curious.

Most people tried to impress him.

This girl simply confessed defeat.

“You are irresponsible,” he said coldly.

“Sir, I’m trying.”

“Trying is not achievement.”

Kaira’s eyes dimmed slightly.

But she still replied softly,

“Not everyone starts life perfectly organized.”

Something flickered briefly in Vaibhav’s eyes.

A memory.

A feeling.

Something buried deep inside him.

But it disappeared instantly.

“You’re rejected,” he said.

Just like that.

Kaira forced a smile, picked up her file, and quietly walked away.

Outside the office, she sat near a roadside momo stall feeling completely defeated.

She wiped her eyes angrily and muttered,

“Khadoos CEO.”

Even while upset, she still fed pieces of momo to nearby stray puppies.

A luxurious car stopped a few feet away.

Inside sat

Meera Kapoor.

Vaibhav’s mother.

She noticed the crying girl feeding puppies instead of feeling sorry for herself.

Something about Kaira’s warmth felt different.

Meera stepped out slowly.

“Bad day?” she asked gently.

Kaira laughed sadly.

“You can say that.”

Soon she unknowingly started ranting about rich people, corporate robots, and especially one terrifying CEO.

“Khadoos aadmi hai!”

Meera listened quietly.

Then unexpectedly—

She laughed.

A real laugh.

Maybe after years.

That evening, Meera secretly called HR.

“Give that girl one chance.”

The next morning, Kapoor Industries nearly exploded from shock.

Kaira Sharma had officially joined as a temporary intern.

Sia looked unhappy.

Vaibhav looked furious.

“Fine,” he said coldly. “Let’s see how long she survives.”

And chaos officially entered his life.

Throughout the day, Kaira accidentally sent incomplete emails, mixed coffee orders, broke the office printer, and entered the wrong meeting room twice.

But somehow—

Old employees smiled around her.

Nervous interns relaxed near her.

People laughed more.

The office felt lighter.

Vaibhav noticed everything silently.

Especially the way employees looked happier around her.

Late evening arrived quietly.

Most staff had already left.

Kaira walked past Vaibhav’s cabin and paused.

For the first time, she saw him differently.

Not as a strict CEO.

But as a lonely son.

He stood silently in front of his father’s portrait, eyes unreadable under the dim office lights.

Something about that loneliness touched her heart unexpectedly.

She stepped forward slowly with coffee in hand.

And then—

Her foot slipped.

Hot coffee spilled directly onto Vaibhav’s expensive black suit.

The entire office gasped.

Sia nearly dropped her files.

Vaibhav slowly looked down at the ruined suit.

Then at the terrified girl standing before him.

Their eyes locked.

One furious.

One horrified.

And somewhere between them—

Something invisible began.

Vaibhav’s cold voice broke the silence.

“Miss Kaira Sharma… you are officially my biggest headache.”

Kaira whispered nervously,

“Aur aap officially bahut scary ho.”

The office lights flickered softly as the screen faded to black.
