Episode 4: Hidden Heir

When Marinette walks away and suddenly car stop, and its open on it's own, then suddenly voice speak up......

" How long you going to stand there? Get inside of this car...."

" Okay... brother"

When Marinette sit at the back of the car her brother suddenly change up the seat and put on seat belt. She never thought that her brother would sit at the back ever since he was sitting at the front seat.

" Marinette, why you're always causing trouble...."

And suddenly Marinette spoke up she didn't finish her brother saying because she knows what's gonna happened… Scolding, humiliating or being dislike...

" I'm not causing trouble...they are....anyway they are annoying people out there...saying that I'm not deserve to be Celeste daughter.....how ridiculous it was brother.... I'm okay with that....."

" You're okay with that? But I'm not you tarnished our family name turn into shameless... Have you ever learned your lesson before, or I'll make it clear to you that don't ever do such a stupid thing, or you will be punished....much worse."

" It's okay....I endure it brother ever since mom died.... You have seen me as a failure..."

And suddenly the car stopped. She never knew her father was there at the front seat that's why her brother change the seat because her/ his father was there.....

" A failure....you always a failure Synne"

" Father???? I-I-I.....never knew you...."

" Aldric, what are you fighting for?"

" It's not like father it was Marinette causing trouble at school at her first day of school....involving to jay and Pym...

" Who told you, Synne to make friends to them, huh? I sent you to that school to learn and to be..... Never mind...but You're still disgracing our family one another again."

Marinette can't take it all blaming so that she spoke and defend herself but teary eyes she's afraid her father. Those cold eyes of her father it's like killing intent.... Marinette can't see the past of his father and brother... So that she can't completely test them if she pushed herself she will faint....But all her defense word to herself she never wins for once so that she stopped arguing her father and after hearing her father’s cold words,

Arin lowered her head silently.

“Father… I’m sorry,” she whispered.

But instead of calming down, her father’s expression became even colder.

“Sorry?” he repeated. “You continue to disgrace this family, Marinette. You fight with your brother, act stubborn, and wander around pretending to be someone else. Have you forgotten your place in this family?”

Arin clenched her fists tightly. Her chest felt heavy, but she forced herself to remain quiet.

Minho scoffed beside her.

“She never learns,” he muttered.

Those words were enough to break the little patience Arin had left.

Without saying another word, she turned around and ran upstairs.

“Marinette Synne Celeste!” her father shouted angrily.

But she ignored him completely.

The moment she entered her room, she slammed the door shut and locked it immediately.

Click.

Silence filled the room.

Arin slowly leaned against the door before sliding down onto the floor. Her breathing became shaky as tears slowly formed in her eyes.

“Why…” she whispered softly.

Her mind replayed everything Minho had said inside the car.

He knew about her disguise.

He knew about her investigation.

He even knew she was searching for the truth behind their mother’s death.

“How does he know everything?” she murmured.

Arin buried her face in her knees.

For nine years, Minho barely spoke to her. He treated her like she didnt exist. But today, he suddenly exposed every secret she had hidden carefully.

It terrified her.

Then another question appeared in her mind.

“Why does everyone always blame me for mother’s death…?”

The room became quiet again.

Outside the large window, rain slowly started pouring from the dark evening sky.

Arin looked toward her mirror and stared at her own reflection.

The reflection staring back at her looked weak… broken… incomplete.

That was what her father always called her.

Incomplete.

In the Celeste family, special abilities were considered proof of worth. Every heir inherited a powerful gift passed down through generations.

Her father possessed a mysterious ability since birth.

Minho inherited the rare power to read minds.

That was why he always knew what people were hiding.

That was why he discovered Arin’s secrets so easily.

But Arin…

She was born without any visible ability.

Because of that, her father ignored her for years and focused only on Minho, the “perfect heir.”

Until the incident nine years ago.

The day their mother died.

After that tragedy, strange things began happening to Arin.

Whenever she made eye contact with someone, flashes of the past appeared in her mind. Memories that did not belong to her would suddenly replay like broken pieces of glass.

At first, she thought she was going insane.

But deep inside…

She knew it was an ability.

An awakened power hidden inside her all this time.

A power no one knew about.

Not even her father.

Arin slowly stood up and walked toward the mirror.

“If Minho can read minds…” she whispered, “then maybe Father has another ability too…”

Suddenly🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

A painful headache struck her.

“Ahh—!”

Arin grabbed her head as another vision flashed before her eyes.

A woman crying desperately.

Blood staining the marble floor.

Someone shouting her name.

And then.............................

A pair of cold golden eyes.

Arin froze.

Those eyes…

They looked exactly like her father’s.

Her breathing became uneven.

“No… that's impossible…”

The vision disappeared immediately, leaving Arin trembling in fear.

Before she could calm herself, a knock suddenly echoed from outside her room.

Knock. Knock.

Arin quickly stepped back.

“Who is it?” she asked cautiously.

For a few seconds, no one answered.

Then Minho's voice spoke from behind the door.

“Open the door, Marinette.”

Arin's expression darkened immediately.

“Go away.”

Silence followed.

Then Minho spoke again, this time in a lower voice.

“You need to stop searching for the truth.”

Arin's eyes widened.

Her anger instantly returned.

“What are you hiding from me?” she shouted. “Tell me the truth about Mother!”

Minho remained silent for a moment.

Then he finally answered.

“The truth will destroy you.”

Arin gritted her teeth angrily.

“You already know something, don't you?!”

Another long silence.

Then Minho quietly said,

“You were never supposed to awaken your power.”

Arin froze completely.

Her heart pounded violently inside her chest.

“What…?”

But before she could ask another question, Minho’s footsteps slowly faded away from the hallway.

Leaving Arin alone once again.

However, this time…

Fear slowly crept into her heart.

Because for the first time, she realized one terrifying truth

Her family had been hiding secrets from her long before her mother died.

📌 Reminder: So ,some story of mine is still confusing because there's a a lot of names but I'll make sure to make it clear at the middle of the story to clarify for all of you guys. Stay tuned and follow for more updates

( Her/His father calling them as Synne or Aldric when he upset or bad mood but sometimes he called his daughter and son into: Minho and Marinette if he such a good mood.)
