The Diplomat’S Guard

The Diplomat’S Guard

Meet Parvati Nair - IFS officer

P.S. I’m a very new writer, and this story, its characters, institutions, positions, events, and situations are purely products of my imagination. While certain elements may be inspired by diplomacy, politics, or international relations, the majority of the story is fictional and does not represent real-life individuals, officials, governments, or incidents. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is purely coincidental.

Originally from Kerala, Parvathi was born into a respected Malayali family but was raised and educated in Delhi. She is the only daughter of Aravindan Nair, a retired Indian Police Service officer, and Dr. Lakshmi Nair, a senior doctor

She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and a skilled debater, Parvathi grew up balancing discipline with ambition. She has a deep love for reading and spends most of her free time surrounded by books on politics, history, and literature

Personal Life

-----------------------

Parvathi never seriously thought about marriage or relationships for most of her life. Growing up in a disciplined environment, her focus was always on academics, career goals, and proving herself worthy of the expectations placed upon her. Between years of preparation, constant pressure, and the demanding nature of diplomacy, emotional relationships were something she unconsciously kept at a distance. Over time, ambition became routine, and loneliness became something she simply learned to live with.

Parvathi is fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, effortlessly switching between languages depending on the situation and people around her. Having grown up in Delhi with Malayali roots, she naturally balances both cultures in the way she speaks and carries herself. She also understands and speaks a little Tamil — though far from fluently, something her family occasionally teases her about.

Growing up in a highly disciplined household, Parvathi learned from an early age to stay composed under pressure and never let emotions cloud her judgment. She completed her B.A. in Political Science from Delhi University and spent the next three years preparing for the Union Public Service Commission examination. At twenty-four, she cleared the exam and entered the Indian Foreign Service as one of the youngest officers in her batch.

Elegant and confident in public, Parvathi appears almost impossible to read. Beneath her professionalism, however, is someone who has spent most of her life carrying expectations, responsibilities, and a loneliness she rarely allows anyone to notice.

She had spent her entire life believing she was in control of it ,her emotions, her future, and every decision she made. Never once did Parvathi Nair imagine that one day her life would be placed under constant protection, surveillance, and scrutiny by an American security officer who seemed determined to break through every wall she had ever built around herself.
