The lunch break had just started, and the canteen was crowded. Lusi joined the long queue to buy her lunch.

As she slowly moved forward, she noticed someone standing a few places ahead.

It was Sam. A group of students around him were chatting and laughing. Some girls were asking him questions about college events, and Sam politely answered everyone.

Lusi tried to focus on the menu board, but her eyes kept drifting toward him.

The queue moved forward. Just as Lusi reached for her wallet, it slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.

Before she could bend down, someone picked it up.

"Here, you dropped this."

Lusi looked up and froze.

Sam was standing right in front of her, holding her wallet.

"T-thank you," she said softly.

"You're welcome," Sam replied with a smile.

For a moment, neither of them knew what to say. Then the canteen staff called out Sam's order.

"See you around," he said before walking away.

Lusi stood there smiling to herself. A simple moment in a crowded queue had suddenly become the highlight of her.

After an evening of shopping with her friends, Lusi felt tired and hungry.

"Let's grab some snacks before going back to the hostel," one of her friends suggested.

The girls walked into a cozy coffee shop nearby. Soft music played in the background, and the warm aroma of coffee filled the air.

Lusi was looking at the menu when a waiter approached their table.

"Good evening. What would you like to order?"

The familiar voice made her look up.

"Lusi ? I didn't expect to see you here!"

The girls at the table exchanged curious glances.

"You work here?" Lusi asked.

Sam smiled. "Only part-time during weekends. It helps me gain experience and earn some extra money."

Lusi admired how hardworking he was.

After taking their order, Sam returned a few minutes later with their drinks and snacks

"Here you go," he said, carefully placing everything on the table.

"Thanks," Lusi replied.

As the evening went on, Lusi occasionally noticed Sam helping customers, cleaning tables, and serving orders with the same friendly attitude he had at college.

When it was finally time to leave, sam stopped by their table.

"Hope you enjoyed everything."

"We did," Lusi said with a smile.

"See you on campus then."

"See you."

As she walked out of the coffee shop, Lusi couldn't help smiling. She had learned something new about Sam that night—not just that he was popular and kind, but that he was hardworking too.

Lusi and her friend ruby were sitting on their beds late at night.

Reet : "So... tell me honestly. Do you like someone?"

Lusi : smiling shyly "Maybe."

Reet : "Aha! I knew it. Who is he?"

Lusi : "Sam. He's kind, hardworking, and always helps everyone."

Reet : "That's sweet. I have a boyfriend too."

Lusi : "Really? What's he like?"

Reet : "He's funny and always makes me laugh when I'm stressed."

The girls continued talking, sharing stories and laughing together.

Lusi : "I haven't even had a proper conversation with Sam yet."

Reet : "Don't worry. Sometimes the best friendships start with a simple hello."
