Chapter 2.2 Caleb : He turn me on!

My mood was completely terrible today. That guy was really annoying. He didn’t even say thank you.

Out of everything that happened, there was one thing that irritated me the most.

My thoughts kept getting disturbed by it, and on top of that…

“Why is his shirt still left here…!”

I immediately crushed the shirt in my hand, balled it up, and threw it back into the laundry basket.

“Sean…” I growled. “How could he threaten me with harassment? Who does he think he is? Besides, I would never be interested in another man, especially someone like him!”

I kept muttering endlessly. Just remembering him was enough to raise my blood pressure.

“I hope he never comes here again to take his clothes, and that we never meet anywhere again!”

Amid the chaotic emotions inside me, my phone suddenly rang loudly from my room.

“Tch…!”

Even though I was annoyed, I still walked toward the room.

It was actually easy to guess who was calling me.

“Hmph, that woman…” I muttered when I saw the caller number.

Honestly, I almost didn’t pick up. But compared to hearing the phone ring all day, it was better to just answer it.

The moment I pressed accept, her voice immediately rushed in.

“Caleb, don’t forget your promise tonight, okay? Remember, your father is the one who asked you to come. Don’t disappoint him.”

She spoke without pause, stressing every sentence, making my head ache.

“Tch… Mom, can you talk a bit slower?” I replied, pressing my fingers to the bridge of my nose.

“What’s important is you must come tonight! Don’t embarrass your father!”

Haha, she didn’t care at all and kept emphasizing her demands on me.

Sometimes I thought… how did I end up with a mother like her?

A mother who felt more like a stepmother.

Everyone was just an asset to her. Something that could generate money. Even her own children.

And my father… he was the same. He couldn’t refuse her decisions.

“I’ll come, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I agree with you,” I answered firmly.

“Caleb, w—”

“That’s enough, Mom. I still have things to do.”

“Caleb! Wait! Cal—”

Without waiting for her to continue, I ended the call.

Tuuuut…

The sound of the disconnected line filled my room for a moment.

“Hah… annoying…”

I blocked her number. Just temporarily. I didn’t want her calling me all day just to remind me about that useless event.

“Because I got annoyed, I got hungry again…”

I went back to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and checked the food inside.

My eyes moved over the fully stocked fridge. Everything was there, but it was all raw ingredients that needed cooking, and I was too lazy to do it.

“Better to just eat out today…” I muttered and went back to my room to change clothes.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror.

“Yah, not bad…” I said after looking at my appearance—a black shirt with two white buttons left open and semi-formal white trousers.

I also wore a gold wristwatch and a necklace with a pendant.

Satisfied, I grabbed my phone and car keys, then left the apartment.

Outside, a few security guards greeted me. They were friendly even though I didn’t know them well.

“Going out, Sir?” one of them asked.

“Want to have some coffee here for a bit, Sir?” another said, holding his cup.

“No, thank you. Maybe next time,” I replied politely.

“Oh, take care on the road, Sir!”

I nodded and went to my car.

The engine started smoothly, and I left the apartment parking area.

I looked around the road, looking for a place to eat.

My choice fell on a Japanese restaurant. Not too fancy, but clean and comfortable.

When I entered, I was greeted warmly by the staff.

“California sushi roll, sushi set, and matcha tea,” I said, pointing at the digital menu board.

The receptionist smiled.

“Alright, please wait for your order,” she said.

A waiter came and guided me to a more private room.

“Why am I being taken upstairs? I didn’t book a private room, right…?”

I frowned slightly as I followed the male waiter walking in front of me up the stairs.

“Ah, that’s correct. It’s just one of our restaurant services. Any customer who spends over $40 gets a small privilege.”

The young man paused and explained politely.

“So, how about it? Would you like to continue upstairs?” he asked, making sure while patiently waiting for my answer.

“Yes, continue…” I replied briefly.

“Alright, this way!” he responded enthusiastically, his expression brightening.

He walked ahead of me again and led me to a small private booth upstairs.

“Please,” he said while sliding the door open.

I looked around the room.

There was a small minimalist table, four cushions, a small side cabinet, a phone charging spot, an AC…

It was quite comfortable. Not as bad as I had imagined.

“The utensils are in the side cabinet,” the waiter explained. His gaze then shifted beside the door. “You can order again here, or call a waiter,” he added, pointing at the digital menu screen with a voice call feature.

“Yes, I understand,” I replied immediately.

“Your food will arrive in 30 minutes. Please wait, and thank you…”

Finally, he left.

“Haah…” I sat down and leaned back near the window, stretching out.

My eyes moved outside, watching people coming into the restaurant.

“Running a Japanese restaurant seems profitable…” I said quietly while observing them.

While I was watching, I was suddenly startled by someone who looked somewhat familiar.

“Huh…? That guy from earlier…”

My mind immediately replayed what happened this morning, along with his face.

“It’s probably just a coincidence, or maybe I was wrong. There’s no way it’s him… right? I can’t possibly meet him again…”

I brushed the thought away.

I shifted my focus to my phone, checking news, social media, and messages from several people at the office.

I looked through schedules, clients—basically company reports I was handling.

Right now, I was managing a digital marketing company that had been running for four years, and in the last two years it had grown quite fast.

My eyes scanned the list of clients registered this week.

Knock… knock…

A soft knock came from the door. My attention immediately shifted.

“Excuse me…”

The door slid open. Another waiter came in carrying food.

But my eyes widened immediately when I saw him.

“Please, this is your orde—”

He stopped. His hands holding the sushi tray froze mid-air.

“You…!”

Instinctively, I pointed at him and stepped forward, accidentally kicking the tray in his hands.

CRASH!

All the food fell onto my pants. Messy and sticking onto it.

The young man flinched when he saw the mess in the room.

“You idiot…! What are you doing, huh!? So careless!”

He yelled at me.

It was the first time someone had dared to point out my mistake and scold me like that directly.

But strangely, he immediately moved to clean the rice sticking to my pants.

“You know sushi rice is a bit sticky! You have to pick it off by hand!”

He bent down and carefully picked the rice off one by one.

The distance between us was too close. I could even smell an apple-like scent from his body.

Shit.

Something suddenly spread when his hand touched somewhere it shouldn’t have.

Did he do it on purpose?

“Hey…” I grabbed his wrist.

He flinched and looked at me, eyes slightly widened.

His face showed pure confusion. It looked like he really didn’t realize what he was doing…?

I pulled him closer and whispered, “Do you know you shouldn’t be touching ‘that’?”

His eyebrows furrowed, and slowly his turquoise eyes moved downward.

Within a few seconds, his face turned pale white—then red spread all the way to his ears.

“I-I didn’t know… it was accidental… so-sorry…!” He lowered his head and tried to pull away.

“I never expected another man would dare touch me like this, you know, hm?” I replied with a grin.

I pulled him closer again.

He fell. I don’t know what I was thinking at that moment, but I immediately pinned him down.

“W-What are you doing!? Get off me! What if someone sees…!” he whispered.

His hands tried to push me away, but I caught them.

“Let go…!” His jaw tightened, his voice turning rough.

“Didn’t you accuse me of harassment this morning, hm?” I leaned my face closer until there were only a few centimeters between us.

“T-That’s because you were pressuring me…!” He looked away.

“Do you want to know what it looks like if it really happens?”

I pinned both his hands above his head while my other hand slipped into his loose red shirt—my shirt actually.

“W-Wait…! Stop…!”

Panic was no longer hidden. His eyes dropped downward, toward my hand.

“Alright, alright! I’m sorry! Please, let me go!” His breathing became heavy.

“Oh…? Say it properly. I don’t like it when you sound forced.”

His hands clenched inside my grip.

“I’m sorry, Mr—”

“Caleb.”

“F-Fine, Mr. Caleb… I’m sorry for being rude and accusing you. Please…”

My grin widened. My heart pounded.

“I forgive you, but… you’ll still be punished…”

“W-What?” His turquoise-green eyes widened. “Punish—ah…!”

Maybe I was crazy. But I couldn’t deny it—my chest felt hot. Something burned, flowing to one point.

“C-Caleb—ah, enough! That’s enough! Stop it!” He struggled beneath me as I bit down on his neck.

My eyes fell to his neck, now marked with several red spots.

Then I pulled away. He was gasping, looking away.

His eyes were teary. Maybe I had gone too far…

“I know my mistake… I won’t do it again, so-sorry…” His voice trembled.

He quickly stood up and cleaned the remaining mess with a blank expression.

Do I need to apologize?

“Sean, I…”

“Your order will be replaced shortly, excuse me…” He bowed quickly and left.

“Ah… how could I do something like that! He’s not even a woman!” I cursed myself.

After a moment, I realized something…

“Shit, since when did I turn on!?”
