ep 4

Rewritten Destiny

Episode 4 — The Missing Hour

Ethan couldn’t sleep.

The image of blood dripping from Noah’s hand replayed endlessly in his mind.

It had started exactly the same way before the original accident.

The same injury.

The same storm.

The same feeling that something terrible was approaching.

Only now, Mia was somehow connected to it too.

3:13 AM.

The red numbers on Ethan’s phone glowed in the darkness of his dorm room.

Outside, thunder shook the windows.

Then—

Buzz.

His phone vibrated.

Unknown Number.

Ethan’s chest tightened instantly.

He answered without speaking.

Static crackled softly.

Then came the distorted voice again.

“You have less than forty-eight hours.”

“What do you want from me?” Ethan demanded quietly.

“Return to Platform 7.”

“Who are you?!”

A pause.

Then:

“Ask Noah what happened between 11:00 and 12:00 last winter.”

The call disconnected.

Ethan frowned.

Last winter?

What happened then?

He immediately grabbed his jacket and headed toward Noah’s room down the hall.

But when he reached the door—

It was already open.

“Noah?” Ethan called.

No answer.

The room was empty.

Sheets messy.

Window open.

Rain blowing inside.

Ethan’s stomach dropped.

Then he noticed something lying on Noah’s desk.

A photograph.

Old and faded.

It showed Noah standing beside Ethan at a train station during winter break months ago.

But something felt wrong.

Ethan stared closer.

The timestamp at the bottom read:

11:47 PM

The exact departure time printed on the mysterious ticket.

And behind them, barely visible in the crowd—

stood the man in the black coat.

Ethan’s pulse quickened.

Suddenly footsteps echoed behind him.

Mia entered the room, breathing heavily.

“He’s gone too?” she asked.

“You knew?”

“I woke up from another dream,” she whispered. “Noah was standing on the tracks.”

Lightning illuminated the room.

For a moment, Ethan noticed fear in Mia’s eyes.

Not ordinary fear.

Recognition.

“You know something,” he said carefully.

Mia looked away.

“I don’t remember clearly.”

“Try.”

Silence filled the room.

Rain tapped violently against the windows.

Finally, Mia spoke.

“In my dream… there was an argument.”

“Between who?”

“You and Noah.”

Ethan froze.

“What?”

“You blamed him for something.” Her voice trembled slightly. “And he kept saying he was sorry.”

“That’s impossible.”

But deep inside, Ethan felt uncertainty growing.

Because fragments of memory had started returning since meeting the stranger.

Broken pieces.

Voices.

Pain.

Guilt.

Mia suddenly grabbed Ethan’s arm tightly.

“Do you hear that?”

At first, Ethan heard only thunder.

Then—

A distant train horn.

Low.

Metallic.

Impossible.

The city subway system stopped running after midnight.

Yet the sound grew louder.

Closer.

The lights in Noah’s room flickered.

And the digital clock beside the bed glitched wildly.

3:16.

3:17.

3:16 again.

Then suddenly:

11:47 PM.

Ethan stepped back slowly.

The air inside the room became freezing cold.

The closet door creaked open by itself.

Inside hung Noah’s black hoodie.

Fresh drops of water fell from its sleeves onto the floor.

As if someone had just returned from the rain.

Mia whispered, “We’re not alone.”

Then Ethan noticed it.

Written across the fogged window in dripping water were three words:

HE REMEMBERS NOW

The bedroom door slammed shut violently.

Mia screamed.

The lights exploded into darkness.

For several terrifying seconds, Ethan heard only breathing in the room.

Not two people breathing.

Three.

Then a familiar voice whispered from the darkness beside him.

“Ethan…”

It was Noah.

But the voice sounded wrong.

Cold.

Empty.

“You should’ve let me die.”
