Oops, I Fell for My Boss

Oops, I Fell for My Boss

EPISODE 1_The Girl Who Attacked the CEO

New York never slept.

Neither did Ava Carter’s bad luck.

Rain poured heavily across the city while Ava ran through the crowded streets wearing heels that clearly hated her existence.

Her hair was a mess.

Her makeup was half ruined.

And she was already thirty minutes late for the first day of her new job.

“This is fine,” she muttered while running.

“Everything is totally fine.”

A taxi splashed dirty water directly onto her jeans.

Ava stopped walking.

Slowly looked down.

Then up at the sky.

“God really has favorites.”

People stared while she aggressively wiped her clothes and rushed toward the tallest building nearby.

WESTON EMPIRE.

One of the biggest fashion companies in America.

And unfortunately…

Her new workplace.

Inside the building, employees walked around carrying expensive files and iced coffees while Ava entered looking like she had survived a natural disaster.

The receptionist blinked at her soaked appearance.

“Can I help you?”

Ava fixed her bag nervously.

“Uh… first day?”

The receptionist gave her a pity smile.

“The CEO is already angry today.”

“Good for him,” Ava whispered.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

The woman handed her a visitor card.

“23rd floor.”

Ava rushed toward the elevator.

But right before the doors closed—

A hand stopped them.

A tall man stepped inside.

Black suit.

Silver watch.

Sharp jawline.

Cold grey eyes.

The elevator suddenly felt ten times smaller.

Ava awkwardly stood beside him while trying not to breathe loudly.

The man glanced at her soaked clothes.

Then at the coffee in her hand.

“You should hold that carefully.”

Rude.

Very rude.

Ava instantly frowned.

“Thanks, Dad.”

The man raised one eyebrow.

Silence filled the elevator again.

The tension felt illegal.

Ava hated silence.

So naturally—

She spoke again.

“You know, rich people in this building look terrifying.”

No response.

“Like do you all practice looking emotionally unavailable?”

Still nothing.

This man clearly believed smiling was a crime.

The elevator suddenly stopped hard.

Ava lost balance.

And the coffee flew directly onto his black designer suit.

Time stopped.

Actually stopped.

Ava stared at the giant coffee stain in horror.

“...Oh.”

The man slowly looked down at his ruined suit.

Then at her.

Those cold grey eyes somehow became colder.

“Congratulations.”

His voice was calm.

Too calm.

“You’ve managed to ruin a suit worth more than your monthly salary.”

Ava’s jaw dropped.

Excuse him?

“Wow,” she snapped.

“You sound fun at parties.”

The elevator doors opened.

Employees outside froze instantly after seeing the scene.

One woman whispered dramatically:

“Oh my God…”

Another employee looked ready to faint.

Ava looked between them in confusion.

Why was everyone acting like someone died?

The man stepped out of the elevator.

People immediately moved aside for him.

That’s when Ava noticed something terrifying.

Everyone looked scared of him.

Actually scared.

The receptionist from earlier suddenly appeared beside Ava looking pale.

“Please tell me you didn’t say anything stupid.”

Ava laughed nervously.

“Define stupid.”

Before the receptionist could answer—

The man turned around.

“Miss.”

Ava pointed at herself.

“Me?”

“Office. Now.”

The entire hallway went silent.

The receptionist covered her face.

And finally—

Finally—

Ava noticed the giant name written beside the private office doors.

ETHAN KNIGHT

CEO OF WESTON EMPIRE

Ava stopped breathing.

No.

Absolutely not.

Her eyes widened slowly.

Then she looked back at the man.

The same cold eyes.

The same terrifying expression.

This wasn’t some random employee.

This was Ethan Knight.

New York’s youngest billionaire CEO.

And she had insulted him… three times in under five minutes.

Ava smiled weakly.

“So funny story—”

“Inside. Now.”

Yep.

She was definitely getting fired.

But deep down…

A tiny dangerous part of her noticed something else too.

Ethan Knight looked at her like she was either:

The biggest headache of his life

or

The most interesting thing he’d seen in a while.

And honestly?

Ava had no idea which one was worse.
