Episode 5 — “My Woman” & The Man Who Never Let Me Leave

HE HATES ME… OR IS HE AFRAID TO LOVE? 🖤

The gun never fired.

But the underground room felt like it had stopped breathing.

I stood behind Fahad… and for the first time in my life, I felt like the cruelest man I knew was standing there as my shield.

My uncle cried.

“Fahad… don’t! I can explain—”

Click.

Fahad pulled the trigger slightly.

Didn’t shoot.

But it was enough to freeze the man in place.

“Talk.”

Fahad’s voice was low.

But sharp enough to make my skin crawl.

Kraken stood at the side, his expression completely serious now.

No smile.

No jokes.

This was his real world.

My uncle lowered his head.

“I… I just had debts. They threatened to kill me—”

Fahad smiled slightly.

But there was nothing human in that smile.

“So because of your debts… you sold her.”

He pointed toward me without even turning around.

I flinched.

“She’s not an object.”

Silence.

My uncle tried crawling closer again.

“She’s nobody! She’s just some market girl—”

BANG!

The gun fired into the floor right in front of the man’s knees.

I screamed softly.

My uncle cried out in terror.

Even Kraken looked startled for a second.

Fahad crouched down in front of him.

“Say that again.”

His voice became quieter.

More dangerous.

“…and I’ll erase you from this earth.”

I stood there frozen.

My hands trembling.

Not because I was afraid of Fahad…

but because I realized something.

This man was serious.

Not drama.

Not empty threats.

He could really do it.

My uncle finally lowered his head.

“I’m sorry… Dhia… I’m sorry…”

I stayed silent.

My mind was empty.

I should’ve been angry.

Should’ve screamed.

Should’ve hated him.

But…

I just felt tired.

Fahad slowly lowered the gun.

But he still stood in front of me.

Blocking me from seeing the man.

Kraken dragged my uncle away.

His screams faded into the distance.

Silence returned.

Only me and Fahad remained.

And the blood still soaking through his shoulder.

I looked at him.

“…you didn’t have to do all this.”

Fahad didn’t answer.

I slowly stepped in front of him.

“He’s my uncle.”

Silence.

I let out a bitter laugh.

“Even if he sold me.”

Fahad finally spoke.

“He’s not family.”

I immediately froze.

“…you don’t understand.”

Fahad looked directly into my eyes.

“What I understand…”

he paused for a moment.

“…is that you’ve let people walk all over you for too long.”

I was speechless.

The air in the room suddenly felt different.

Fahad slowly lifted his hand.

Touching my wrist that still carried traces of his blood.

“Dhia.”

I looked up.

He was too close.

Like always.

But this time…

his eyes weren’t cold.

He looked tired.

“Don’t let anyone touch you again.”

I laughed awkwardly.

“…who are you to say that?”

He stayed quiet.

For a long time.

Then he answered softly.

“I’m the person who can’t stand seeing you hurt.”

My whole world went silent.

My heart started doing strange things again.

I quickly looked away.

“Your mouth talks rough… but in the end, you’re just like everyone else.”

Fahad exhaled slowly.

“If I were the same…”

he leaned slightly closer to my face.

“…you wouldn’t still be here.”

I froze instantly.

What did he mean by that?

Before I could answer—

Fahad suddenly staggered slightly.

I grabbed his shoulder immediately.

“Fahad!”

He was still standing… but his face had turned pale.

His shoulder wound was bleeding even more.

Kraken still hadn’t returned.

I panicked.

“Sit down! You’re bleeding!”

Fahad tried to push my hand away.

“I’m fine.”

“LIAR!”

I forced him down onto the sofa.

And this time, he didn’t fight me.

He just sat there… watching me.

I removed the old bandage with trembling hands.

“Why are you so stubborn…”

My voice came out soft.

He answered calmly.

“Because you’re here.”

I stopped moving.

“…what?”

He stared at me for a long moment.

And his voice became the most honest thing I had ever heard from him.

“If you ran earlier… I probably wouldn’t care about this wound.”

I fell silent.

“…but you didn’t run.”

I swallowed hard.

“Don’t say things like that.”

Fahad slowly lifted his hand.

Touching my messy hair gently.

“Dhia.”

I looked at him.

He was close.

Too close.

“If one day I become dangerous for you…”

My chest tightened instantly.

“…will you run away?”

I let out a small laugh.

But tears slipped down without me realizing.

“You’re mafia… everything about you is dangerous.”

Fahad stayed silent.

His hand still in my hair.

And for the first time…

his voice became very soft.

“…I’m not asking as mafia.”

Silence.

“…I’m asking as a man.”

I froze.

The man I hated.

The man who always insulted me.

The man who constantly hurt my feelings…

was asking a question I was most afraid to answer.

Because if I answered honestly…

I didn’t even know what I would say. 🖤
