The embrace lasted for a long time, a silent exchange of emotions that needed no words. In that moment, the distance that had grown between them in the past life, the misunderstandings, the pain, and the betrayal—all of it seemed to melt away, replaced by the warmth of being reunited.
When they finally pulled back, Jinho and Shiro looked at Harumi with eyes filled with a new light. They saw her not just as their little sister, but as someone powerful, someone who had walked through hell and come back stronger. And they knew, with absolute certainty, that they would follow her anywhere.
"So," Shiro said, rubbing the back of his neck and giving her a sheepish grin. "You knew? All this time?"
Harumi laughed, the sound light and genuine. "Of course I knew. Did you really think you could hide something like that from me? Especially when I’m living my third life, for heaven's sake."
Jinho shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. "We should have known. You were always the sharpest one among us. Even back then."
"But," Harumi continued, her expression turning serious. "We have a lot to talk about. A lot to plan. The world as we know it is going to change very soon, and we need to be ready. All of us."
"We are ready," Jinho said firmly. "Tell us what you need, little sister. Whatever it is, we will do it."
They walked back to the mansion together, the atmosphere light yet filled with a shared sense of purpose. As they entered the house, they found Kaizo Donovan waiting in the foyer.
The male lead stood tall and imposing, his dark eyes scanning the room. When they landed on Harumi, they softened instantly.
"Kitten," he said, striding forward. "I heard you went out. I was worried."
He reached out, his hands gently cupping her face, checking for any sign of harm. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Kaizo," Harumi assured him, patting his arm. "Really. I was just… training."
Kaizo’s gaze flickered to her brothers, and for a moment, a silent understanding passed between the three men. They all remembered. They all knew the mistakes they had made, and they were all determined not to repeat them.
"Training, huh?" Kaizo murmured, a hint of pride in his voice. "I should have known. Nothing can keep you down, can it?"
Later that evening, the five of them—Harumi, her two brothers, Kaizo, and surprisingly, Demetrius, who had somehow managed to insert himself into the gathering—sat around the large dining table.
The atmosphere was… interesting, to say the least.
Jinho and Shiro were sitting on one side, radiating protective elder brother energy. Kaizo was right next to Harumi, looking like he was ready to fight anyone who looked at her wrong. And Demetrius was sitting across from her, his intense gaze never leaving her face, making her feel like she was the only person in the room.
Harumi sighed inwardly. Great. Just great. I have the hero, the villain, and my overprotective brothers all in one room. This is definitely going to turn into a harem if I’m not careful.
"So," Jinho said, clearing his throat and getting straight to business. "Harumi told us that she has been gathering supplies. A lot of supplies."
"And she has space storage," Shiro added, his eyes wide. "Infinite space storage."
Kaizo nodded slowly. "I see. That explains why she was buying so much stuff. You are planning for the worst, aren't you, Kitten?"
"Someone has to be," Harumi replied pragmatically. "When the apocalypse hits, food, water, medicine, weapons—those things will be worth more than gold. We need to be prepared."
"And I have already taken care of acquiring land for a base," Demetrius spoke up, his voice deep and smooth. "A large, secure location. It is ready for use whenever you need it, Bunny."
Everyone turned to look at him. Jinho and Shiro exchanged glances. Kaizo’s jaw tightened slightly.
"You did?" Harumi asked, surprised despite herself.
"Of course," Demetrius said, his eyes locking with hers. "Anything for you."
Oh boy, Harumi thought. He is really going all in with this protective villain act, isn't he?
"Well," Jinho said, breaking the tension. "That is… actually very useful. Thank you, Demetrius."
It was clear he still didn't fully trust the villain, but he was willing to put aside differences for Harumi’s sake.
"Now," Harumi said, clapping her hands together. "About our abilities. We all have them now, right? Enhanced strength, speed, senses? And some of us have magic too."
"Yes," Shiro said eagerly. "I can control shadows and speed. Jinho-hyung has earth and fire manipulation."
"And I have lightning and combat mastery," Kaizo added.
"And I," Demetrius said smirking, "have darkness and absolute defense."
They all looked at Harumi.
She smiled, feeling the power surge within her. "I have everything. All eight elements, creation, destruction, healing… you name it."
The room went silent. Then…
"WHAT?!"
"You can do WHAT?!"
"All of them?!"
Harumi laughed at their shocked expressions. "Relax, guys. It’s okay. Being the favorite child of God has its perks, you know."
Celestia’s voice chimed in her mind. That is right, Master! You are basically invincible!
The rest of the evening was spent planning and strategizing. They discussed how to organize the supplies, how to train effectively, and how to deal with Alicia when the time came.
"When she shows up again," Jinho said, his voice cold. "I will not be fooled again. I will expose her for the liar she is."
"And I will make sure she can never hurt anyone ever again," Shiro vowed.
Kaizo’s eyes darkened. "She hurt you, Kitten. She made me hurt you. There is no forgiveness for that."
Demetrius simply leaned back in his chair, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Let her come. She will regret ever being born."
Harumi looked at them—her family, her lover, her unexpected protector. They were all here, all on her side. The plot had changed, the characters had shifted, but one thing was certain.
This time, they would not fail.
"Alright," Harumi said, standing up. "It's getting late. We have a lot of work to do in the coming days. Let's get some rest."
As they dispersed, Kaizo pulled her aside for a moment.
"Kitten," he said softly. "I know things are different now. I know I have a lot to make up for. But I promise you… I will spend the rest of my life proving to you that I love you. That I will always choose you."
Harumi looked at him, seeing the sincerity and the pain in his eyes. She reached up and touched his face.
"I know, Kaizo," she said gently. "And I'm willing to try again. But things will be different this time. I won't be the weak girl you used to know."
"I know," he smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."
Up in her room, Harumi changed into her nightclothes and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Celestia," she said. "How are the supplies coming along?"
"Perfectly, Master!" the system replied cheerfully. "The clone has gathered everything we need, and the warehouse is fully stocked. We have enough to last centuries, let alone a lifetime!"
"Good," Harumi said, nodding. "And the base land Demetrius bought… is it secure?"
"Very secure, Master! It is hidden, well-defended, and large enough to hold millions."
Harumi laid back, staring at the ceiling.
"So many things have changed," she murmured. "My brothers, Kaizo, Demetrius… even the timeline is shifting."
"But that's okay," she said, a determined smile forming on her lips. "Because no matter what happens, I am strong enough to handle it. And this time… I am not alone."
She closed her eyes, ready to face whatever tomorrow brought. The world was changing, the apocalypse was coming, but Harumi Suzuki was ready.
