THE Villainess Is Caged by the Horned King
The episode opens in the dim, sapphire-lit depths of the obsidian palace. The heroine, having successfully transmigrated into the role of the infamous villainess, is trying to navigate her way through the labyrinthine corridors to plan her escape. Instead, she stumbles into the private chambers of the Horned King.

She finds him slumped against his throne, clutching a deep, jagged wound at his waist. Crimson stains his pristine wrappings. The legendary, ruthless tyrant is vulnerable, breathing heavily as dark energy crackles dangerously around his horns.Instead of calling for guards—which would seal her fate as a suspicious villainess lurking in his quarters—she uses her knowledge of the original novel's lore. She approaches him cautiously, tearing a piece of her own silken gown to help staunch the bleeding.
The Horned King snaps awake, pinning her to his chest with terrifying speed, his golden eyes flashing with lethal suspicion. His hand grips her shoulder, trapping her against him just like the pose in
"You dare creep into my chambers, little bird? Are you here to finish what the assassins started, or do you merely wish to meet an early grave?"
Remaining calm despite her racing heart, she looks directly into his eyes and offers a compromise: she will use her secret knowledge to heal his curse-poisoned wound, but in exchange, he must guarantee her safety from the imperial executioner.Amused and intrigued by her sudden boldness—so unlike the sniveling villainess he remembers—the Horned King lets out a low, dangerous chuckle. He accepts her terms but twists the conditions. He heals under her care, but as the episode closes, he locks a heavy, enchanted gold-and-jewel cuff around her wrist.
He pulls her close one last time, whispering against her ear:
"A deal is a deal. Your life is safe from the executioner. But did you truly think I would let my beautiful, clever little savior walk free? From this day on, your cage is right here by my side." The episode opens the next morning. The heroine wakes up not in her cold dungeon cell, but in a luxurious, canopy-draped bed within the King’s private wing. As she lifts her arm, the enchanted gold-and-jewel cuff rattles against the silk sheets. It glows with a faint sapphire light—a constant reminder of the Horned King’s magic and her new status as his "prized captive."
When she tries to step out of the room, an invisible magical barrier pushes her back. She quickly realizes she can only move within spaces he explicitly permits. She is truly caged.
While she is pacing the room, trying to figure out how to bypass the barrier, the heavy obsidian doors swing open. It isn't the King, but his stern chief advisor and a line of anxious maids carrying extravagant gowns and a lavish breakfast.
The advisor eyes her with immense suspicion. In the original novel's timeline, the villainess was supposed to be executed by now. The palace rumors are already flying: How did the disgraced lady manage to seduce the ruthless tyrant overnight? The heroine has to play along, masking her panic with the haughty, confident demeanor of the villainess to keep them from discovering she is an imposter.
Later that evening, the Horned King returns. His wound from yesterday is entirely healed, thanks to her treatment, and he looks more imposing than ever. He dismisses the servants, leaving the two of them entirely alone.
He approaches her, his gaze locked onto her wrist where the cuff rests. He wants to test her. He reveals a ancient, cursed scroll written in a dead demonic language—something the original villainess could never read, but because the heroine knows the novel's secrets, she can decipher it.
"You bought your life by healing me," he says, leaning down until his horns almost touch her forehead. "But if you want to eat, sleep, and breathe in this palace, you must prove you are more useful to me alive than dead. Tell me what this says, my clever little bird."
Realizing that submission will only get her killed later, she uses his own proximity to her advantage. She steps closer, narrowing the distance between them, and lightly taps the cursed scroll. She translates the hidden trap within the text, saving him from a political assassination plot engineered by his own court.
The Horned King's eyes widen slightly in genuine surprise before a dark, pleased smile spreads across his face. He realizes she isn't just a survivalist—she is a powerful asset.
The episode ends with him gripping her chin gently but firmly, tilting her face up to meet his golden eyes.
"Magnificent," he whispers. "You truly are a dangerous creature. I look forward to seeing how hard you try to break out of my cage."
