I was just trying to cheer him, and he thought I'm mocking what he thought, whose he was just a team captain?" She wrote on her diary frustrated then immediately scribbled her pencil on the lines (he's not a celebrity or something) she rolled her eyes Looking down at torn page because of pencil.
Yoongi was walking back from practice, head donw. He was still thinking about her behaviour changes, her smile then her irritation when he was about to pass the cherry blossom tree, he noticed her backpack nearby the trunk. He stopped seeing her sitting against the trunk. She was looking frustrated, scribbling furiously on diary.
"I would never draw him again" words echoes her mind. She slammed her book close. He noticed glimpse of her expression- frustrated mixed with something else. He hesitate then stepped forward and sat down next to her under the tree leaning back, their shoulders barely touched. She titled her head at the sudden presence, silence settled between them for a moment. He looked down at her diary torn page "so-" he snatched book from her hands opening "so you're not going to draw me again huh!?" He tried to sound nonchalant but failed miserably looking at the torn page's lines.
She was already frustrated and his action made her blood boil she snatch the book and shoved it in her backpack turning her face on the other side.
He let out a sigh (she is stubborn or something). He rested his head against the tree trunk. "Wow now you gonna ignore me?" He blow a dry leaf. Silence stretched neither of them tried to say anything for moments then yoongi broke the silence again.
"It would be a shame, though." He muttered "I looked good in that sketch."
He couldn't believe he was saying this. He- A Yoongi "the ice prince" of the basketball team, was actually pouting (a little) over not being drawn by this damn girl even here don't even know her name. She stod up picking up her bag. It was ridiculous he watched her leaving. (She always walk away when things got uncomfortable)
He huffed then grabbed strap of her bag from behind yanking back slightly- not hard enough to hurt-
"You don't get to just leave every time." He snapped "not unless you're saying something for real." He met her gaze unflinchingly, his he grip tight on her bag. She was doing it again- not saying a damn word(it irritate him- her silence)
He stood up stepping closer- "say something." His voice low, quiet. "Anything. Just say something. Don't shut me out." Her eyes wandered around the surrounding landing back on him. He felt her nervousness. His curiosity piqued. Their bodies almost touching now.
For the first time he'd noticed how petite she looked next to him. He head only came up to his shoulders. He leaned down a little, searching her face Intently "what?" He prompted his grip on her bag loosening a fraction.
She shook her head. He let out a frustrated sigh. "You always shake your damn head. Use your words." His free hand came up, almost without thinking, he pushed loose stran of hair behind her ear immediately pulling his hand back like its burns.
His words"words" echoes in her mind when she stares at him.
He noticed the way she seemed to zone out, her eyes fixed on him with a strange intensity. He'd been used to those stares- quiet-unmoving but this was different. His eyes roamed on her face they were so close that he could see the mole over her lips.
"Earth to mute girl." He snapped his fingers, He said roughly "you're doing it again. Talk." She shrugged off stepping back form him "fine." He said mockingly "Run away then. That's what you do best, right? Watch me fall apart and then walk off like it never happened-." He stopped when he realized how bitter that sounder..even to himself.
She felt her words. She walked away, with low head.
"Damn it." He muttered, running hand frustratedly through his hair. ( why the hell she affect him way? Why did it bother him so much that she'd just leave every time?)
He stood there alone under the tree, feeling more conflicted then even before.
after that day she didn't acknowledge him. And he still couldn't shake of the thoughts of her. He was used to feel her stares from bleachers. He caught himself looking for her whenever he was on the court was like she'd gotten under his skin without even trying.
His friends noticed his distracted state, the way he'd constantly glance towards the bleachers. They teased, he brushed them off. He wasn't about to admit how much this girl was affecting him.
After finishing his practice he came back into class along with his friends, basketball tucked under his arm.
His eyes unconsciously landed on the back of class on her. She was there as always away from everyone. He hesitated, conflicted. Part of wanted go over and confront her but rational side knew it would only lead to another frustrating dead end.
With a sigh, he slumped down at his own desk- directly infront of hers.
She lifted her head from book at the sound of notification. A little smile tugged at her lips when she read a text. She shoved her belongings in her bag.
Her smile irritates him. He spun around facing her properly "what's so funny?" He asked more like an accusation than a question.
She gave him side eye look with narrow eyes. Her glare met his, sharply, unyielding. For a second, he thought she night actually say something-until her lips pressed into a thin line.
"You know what? Fine." He shoved off from the desk with more force than necessary.
"Keep your secrets," he muttered as he turned away "see if I care."
The rest of the class passed in blur. He couldn't concentrate- his mind was fixed on that damn girl sitting behind him.
At the end of class he shoved his things into his bag randomly then glance at her to see slipping her bag over her shoulder.
She walked out if classroom like nothing had even happened between them. He snapped. "HEY!!." His voice came out sharp. When she didn't turn around he stepped behind her then tugged her behind yanking slightly "i said hey." She stopped but stubbornly quiet. He let go of her bag then step infront of her "look at me." She tilted her head to look at his face "you're sooo...infuriating, you know that....do you know that?" He said taking step closer "ignoring me, writing in that stupid notebook, not saying a damn thing-" he stopped when he saw her writing something on sticky note don't know from now where she got.
She shoved note into his chest "YOU can't judge me when you barely know my presence." He froze when he read that words. She was right. He exhaled through his nose "Fine." He paused then roughly "....what do you want me to know?"
She shook her head immediately.
