The morning felt like every other morning.
Cold. Silent. Heavy.
Viki opened his eyes to the ceiling of a room that didn't belong to him. The wallpaper was peeling, the air stale. The old alarm clock blinked 6:04 AM in dim red light.
He sat up slowly, careful not to make a sound. If he was lucky, no one else would be awake. If he wasn't... he'd hear it again.
As he tiptoed to the bathroom, the door creaked. And right on cue-
"Why are you up so early again?"
His aunt's voice sliced through the hallway like a knife. Her eyes were sharp, her arms crossed.
"Trying to sneak food again? Don't touch anything. You're not the only one living here, you know."
Viki froze.
"I-I wasn't. I just needed to use the bathroom."
She didn't respond. Just rolled her eyes and walked away.
He left the house without breakfast.
No one said goodbye. No one ever did.
💭 At school...
The building was loud, buzzing with students laughing and shouting. But to Viki, it felt like walking into a battlefield alone. Every eye that passed him felt like a blade.
He moved fast. Head down. But not fast enough.
"Hey, loser!"
A voice echoed through the hallway, mocking, cruel.
William.
Leader of The Rebel Aliens, the worst gang in the school - and Viki's personal nightmare.
William stood with his usual smirk, tossing a basketball between his hands. His dyed silver hair and sharp jawline made him look like a model, but his eyes were full of poison.
"Did your creepy aunt finally kick you out, or are you just dressing like trash on purpose today?"
His friends laughed. Loud. Cruel.
Viki kept walking. He didn't say a word.
"What, too scared to talk now?" William stepped closer.
"Oh wait - I forgot. You're nobody. You always were."
A hand slammed into Viki's backpack, knocking his books onto the floor.
The hallway laughed again.
Viki knelt down, hands trembling, picking up the pages like he was invisible. His throat ached, but no words came out. He'd learned silence was safer.
"That's enough."
A soft voice cut through the noise.
The hallway quieted.
Oliver.
He stood a few feet away, arms crossed, eyes calm but firm. Dark curls fell into his eyes, and his hoodie sleeves were pulled down over his hands.
"Pick on someone who fights back, William."
William scoffed.
"Look who's talking. The ghost boy's defending the freak now?"
But he didn't press further. He turned and walked off, muttering curses under his breath.
Viki blinked. Surprised. Still kneeling on the floor.
Oliver knelt beside him and quietly helped gather the last papers.
"You okay?" Oliver asked gently, not forcing eye contact.
Viki nodded, barely.
"I'm used to it," he whispered.
Oliver handed him the last notebook.
"That doesn't mean you deserve it."
He paused.
"You want me to walk with you?"
Viki didn't know what to say.
No one had ever asked him that before.
He shook his head, not because he didn't want to - but because he didn't want Oliver to be hated too.
Oliver gave him a small nod.
"Alright. But I'm not far if you change your mind."
Viki watched him walk away.
And for the first time that day...
he felt something.
Something warm.
It didn't last.
🌑 That night...
Viki stood alone on a cliff just outside the city.
The stars were covered. The wind was sharp. Below him, the world looked so far away, so quiet.
He stared at the dark emptiness and whispered to himself:
"No one would miss me."
"No one ever really saw me."
"Maybe... maybe I was never supposed to exist."
Tears welled up, but still... he didn't cry.
He took one step closer to the edge-
And then...
A whisper. A flicker of light behind him. A presence.
> "You were never meant to die this way, Viki."
He froze.
The wind stopped.
A figure appeared behind him - glowing faint blue, barely real. A spirit... or something more.
And his eyes burned with truth.
❓ Who is this mysterious spirit that knows Viki's name? 🌙
❓ What secret past is Viki trying so hard to forget? 🕯️
❓ And why does it feel like his real life... is only just beginning? 🔮
