Episode -5 : The Third Shadow .

The bracelet lay on the floor like it had stopped belonging to anyone.

Rk didn’t touch it at first.

Not because he didn’t want to—

But because something in him felt like touching it would make everything irreversible.

The video kept looping behind him.

That final frame.

A figure standing behind him.

Watching.

Smiling.

Rk finally grabbed the laptop and shut it.

Silence rushed in immediately, heavy and unnatural.

Outside the archive room, footsteps echoed.

Running.

Too fast.

Too panicked.

Rk opened the door.

“Hey—!”

But the corridor was empty.

Only a dropped file folder remained on the floor.

He picked it up.

It wasn’t from the school.

No logo.

No stamp.

Just a handwritten label:

“NIRA — CASE SUMMARY (UNOFFICIAL)”

Rk’s throat tightened.

He opened it.

Inside were photos.

Not of a dead girl.

Not even of a sick one.

They were normal school photos.

Group shots.

Candid moments.

A girl smiling near a lake.

Same lake.

But something was wrong.

Every photo had one consistent detail.

A blur in the background.

A person.

Always the same height.

Same position.

Always behind them.

Watching.

Rk whispered, “Who is this…”

A note slipped out from the folder.

Folded.

Old ink.

“There were three people at the lake that night.”

Rk froze.

Three.

Not two.

Not victim and witness.

Three.

His phone buzzed again.

But this time, he didn’t hesitate.

He opened it immediately.

Unknown number.

A new voice note.

This time, it wasn’t static.

It was clear.

Too clear.

A male voice.

Calm.

Almost amused.

“You’re remembering in the wrong order, Rk.”

Rk’s grip tightened.

“Who are you?” he muttered.

The voice continued.

“You keep thinking you were the one watching.”

A pause.

“But you weren’t.”

A soft breath.

Then—

“You were the one being watched.”

Rk’s blood ran cold.

The voice added:

“And Aria? She’s only telling you what she survived.”

The call ended.

A new message appeared instantly:

“Go to the rooftop.”

Rk hesitated.

Every instinct screamed not to go.

But his feet were already moving.

The rooftop door creaked open.

Wind hit him instantly.

Cold.

Sharp.

Alive.

And there—

Aria stood near the edge.

But she wasn’t alone this time.

Someone else was there.

A boy.

Around their age.

School uniform.

Perfect posture.

Too calm.

Like he had been waiting.

Rk stopped.

“…Who are you?”

The boy turned slightly.

Smiling.

“You finally came.”

Aria didn’t look at Rk.

She only said one thing:

“I told you not to climb higher.”

Rk’s voice shook slightly.

“Are you the one sending the messages?”

The boy chuckled softly.

“No.”

He gestured casually toward Aria.

“She is.”

Silence.

Even the wind felt like it stopped.

Rk looked at Aria sharply. “That’s not true.”

Aria finally turned.

Her eyes were different now.

Not cold.

Not warm.

Just exhausted.

“I didn’t send all of them,” she said quietly.

The boy stepped closer.

“But she helped remember them.”

Rk stepped back. “Stop talking like I’m supposed to understand this.”

The boy tilted his head.

“You’re not supposed to understand.”

A pause.

“You’re supposed to remember.”

Then he pointed at Rk.

“That third shadow at the lake?”

A smile.

“That was you.”

Rk’s breath stopped.

“No…”

But the word felt weak.

Unstable.

Aria finally spoke again.

Her voice cracked slightly.

“There was a reason your memory was damaged.”

She swallowed.

“Because you saw what they did… and you agreed to forget.”

Rk shook his head. “I would never—”

The boy interrupted.

“You already did.”

He pulled out his phone.

Played a short clip.

A lake.

Night.

Firelight reflection.

People running.

And Rk—

Standing beside the boy.

Not frozen.

Not confused.

Talking.

Deciding.

Choosing.

Rk stumbled back.

“That’s edited—”

“It’s not,” Aria said quietly.

Silence again.

He looked at her.

Really looked.

“Then why are you helping me now?” he asked.

Aria’s eyes softened for the first time.

Because beneath everything—

There was something human left.

“Because I didn’t survive the lake,” she said.

“I survived what came after.”

A pause.

“And I can’t survive it again alone.”

The boy sighed.

“You’re ruining the order.”

He looked at Rk.

“Final memory unlock is ready.”

Rk’s phone vibrated violently.

One last message appeared.

“PRESS PLAY TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING.”

Aria stepped closer.

Very quietly she said:

“If you press it… you’ll lose who you are now.”

A pause.

“But if you don’t…”

She looked away.

“…you’ll never know what you became.”

The wind grew stronger.

The rooftop door slammed shut behind them.

Locked.

No way out.

Only choice left.

Rk stared at the phone.

His hands shook.

And finally—

He pressed play.

The screen went black.

Then—

A voice.

His own voice.

From the past.

Saying only one sentence:

“Make sure she disappears properly this time.”

Silence.

Aria closed her eyes.

The boy smiled.

And Rk—

Remembered everything.
