Started when Taehyung noticed something suspicious.

Very suspicious.

For three days straight, Jungkook and Eliot had been whispering in corners, disappearing at random times, and carrying mysterious bags around the house.

Whenever Taehyung entered a room, they immediately stopped talking.

"Nothing happened."

"We're innocent."

"Don't investigate us."

Which, naturally, made Taehyung want to investigate them even more.

That evening, Taehyung called Jennie.

"We have a case."

Jennie's eyes lit up.

"A crime?"

"Possibly."

"Excellent."

Thus, Detective Kim Taehyung and Detective rose were born.

Both wore sunglasses indoors.

Neither looked cool.

Meanwhile...

Upstairs...

Jungkook and Eliot were crouching behind a bed.

Between them sat a tiny golden puppy.

The puppy wagged its tail.

Eliot gasped.

"Agent Puppy, please remain silent."

The puppy sneezed.

Jungkook nodded seriously.

"Good work, soldier."

The mission was simple.

Hide the puppy.

Because Namjoon was allergic.

And because Namjoon would immediately tell them to find the puppy a new home.

The puppy had other plans.

At breakfast, everyone was eating quietly.

"Bark!"

The entire table froze.

"What was that?"

Jungkook immediately started coughing.

"BARK—"

"I mean cough!"

Everyone stared.

Jennie narrowed her eyes.

"Suspicious."

Taehyung wrote something in a notebook.

Later that day...

rose and Taehyung followed Jungkook through the house.

They hid behind a lamp.

"Why are you standing there?"

"We're not spying."

"You literally have binoculars."

"You do."

Meanwhile, Eliot was smuggling puppy food upstairs.

Halfway through the hallway, Rose stopped him.

"What are you carrying?"

Eliot panicked.

"Homework."

Rose opened the bag.

Dog biscuits.

Rose stared.

Eliot stared.

Rose stared harder.

"...interesting homework."

That night the secret almost exploded.

The puppy escaped.

One second it was in Jungkook's room.

The next second it was sprinting through the mansion.

"BARK BARK BARK!"

"GET HIM!" Jungkook screamed.

"AGENT PUPPY HAS BREACHED CONTAINMENT!" Eliot yelled.

The puppy ran downstairs.

Jungkook ran after it.

Eliot ran after Jungkook.

Taehyung and rose ran after them.

Rose joined because it looked entertaining.

Rinjin joined because he thought a fight was happening.

The puppy finally crashed into Namjoon's office.

Silence.

Namjoon slowly looked down.

A tiny golden puppy sat beside his chair.

Wagging its tail.

The room filled with horrified siblings.

Nobody moved.

Namjoon looked at the puppy.

The puppy looked at Namjoon.

Then the puppy rolled onto its back.

Everyone expected Namjoon to yell.

Instead...

The puppy sneezed.

Namjoon sneezed.

The puppy sneezed again.

Namjoon sneezed three times.

Jungkook immediately stepped forward.

"Before you say no—"

"No."

"Eliot?"

"No."

"Taehyung?"

"No."

"rose?"

"No."

The puppy licked Namjoon's shoe.

Namjoon froze.

Five minutes later...

The family found Namjoon sitting on the floor.

Petting the puppy.

Everyone gasped.

"TRAITOR!"

Namjoon adjusted his glasses.

"I still don't want a dog."

The puppy climbed into his lap.

Eliot whispered to Jungkook.

"We won."

Jungkook wiped away a fake tear.

"Mission accomplished."

Three months later, Namjoon was buying expensive dog food, dog toys, and a dog bed.

Whenever anyone pointed it out, he always replied:

"I'm only taking care of him because none of you are responsible."

The puppy slept in Namjoon's room every night.

And nobody was allowed to mention it.
