Episode 5: The Mysterious Message
The first few weeks at the new college passed quickly for Aisha. Every day brought new experiences, difficult assignments, and unfamiliar faces. Although she missed her hometown and family, she slowly adjusted to her new life.
One Monday morning, Aisha entered the classroom carrying a stack of books. She noticed that many students were discussing the upcoming academic competition.
"The winner gets an internship opportunity," one student said.
"I heard only the smartest students can qualify," another replied.
Aisha quietly sat in her seat and listened.
Arjun, her project partner, walked into the classroom and took his usual seat beside her.
"Did you hear about the competition?" he asked.
Aisha nodded.
"Yes."
"Are you participating?"
She hesitated.
"I don't know if I'm good enough."
Arjun looked at her seriously.
"You've worked hard to get here. Don't doubt yourself."
Before Aisha could respond, their teacher entered the classroom.
"I have an announcement," he said. "The inter-college competition will take place next month. Students interested in participating must register this week."
Excitement spread throughout the room.
After class, Aisha walked through the hallway deep in thought. She wanted to participate, but fear held her back.
What if she failed?
What if everyone realized she didn't belong there?
As she opened her locker, a folded piece of paper slipped out and fell to the floor.
Confused, she picked it up.
Written neatly on the paper were the words:
"The strongest people are not those who never fail. They are the ones who rise every time they fall. Believe in yourself."
There was no name.
No explanation.
Only the message.
Aisha looked around.
Students walked past without noticing her.
Who had left it there?
She carefully folded the note and placed it inside her notebook.
For the rest of the day, she couldn't stop thinking about it.
That evening, she called her mother.
"Amma, do you think people enter our lives for a reason?"
Her mother laughed softly.
"Of course. Some teach us lessons, and some remind us of our strength."
Aisha smiled.
"Maybe you're right."
The next morning, she found another note inside her textbook.
"Dreams don't work unless you do."
Her eyes widened.
Again, there was no signature.
This time, curiosity replaced fear.
Was someone secretly encouraging her?
Was it Sana?
No, Sana lived far away.
Was it Maya?
Or perhaps...
Arjun?
As she glanced across the classroom, Arjun was focused on reading.
His expression revealed nothing.
Aisha smiled slightly.
Whoever it was, those messages gave her courage.
That afternoon, she walked to the registration desk.
"I'd like to sign up for the competition," she said confidently.
The teacher looked pleased.
"Excellent choice, Aisha."
As she signed her name, excitement filled her heart.
For the first time since arriving at college, she stopped being afraid of failure.
Because she understood something important.
Courage wasn't the absence of fear.
It was moving forward despite being afraid.
As she walked back toward her dormitory, she touched the mysterious notes hidden inside her notebook.
A gentle breeze brushed against her face.
Somewhere nearby, someone had changed her perspective without revealing their identity.
But one question remained.
Who was sending the messages?
And why did they believe in her so much?
Aisha looked toward the sunset and smiled.
Perhaps this mystery was the beginning of another unforgettable chapter in her journey.
