Ana (thinking): “Today is my first day at this new school…. I feel so nervous. I don’t know anyone here.”

Ana stands in front of the big school gate.

Ana: “Wow… this place is so big.”

Ana (thinking): “Okay Ana, just breathe. Find your class and don’t embarrass yourself.”

She enters the school hallway. Students are walking in groups, laughing and chatting.

Ana (thinking): “Everyone already has friends… I feel so alone.”

Ana checks her timetable.

Ana: “Room 204… where is it?”

She walks slowly, looking around confused.

Ana: “Excuse me, do you know where Room 204 is?”

Student: “Go straight, then turn left.”

Ana: “Thank you!”

Ana (thinking): “Okay, I think I can find it now.”

She walks faster without looking properly.

Books fall all over the floor.

Ana: “Oh no! I’m so sorry!”

Luca: “It’s fine… just be careful next time.”

Ana quickly kneels down.

Ana: “Let me help you pick them up.”

Luca also bends down and helps.

They start walking together down the hallway.
