Love after betrayed

Yuri was a nineteen-year-old girl who lived with her uncle and aunt. Her parents had passed away years ago, leaving her completely alone in the world. Although she lived in her uncle's house, she never received any love or affection there. Her aunt disliked her and treated her more like a servant than a family member.

Yuri worked hard every day and gave most of the money she earned to her uncle and aunt. Even then, she never received any appreciation or kindness.

One morning, Yuri was sleeping peacefully when the door of her room suddenly burst open. Her aunt walked in angrily with a jug of water and poured it all over her.

"Ah!"

Yuri jumped awake in shock.

"Get up!" her aunt shouted. "How long are you going to sleep? Stop being lazy and make breakfast right now!"

Yuri quietly got out of bed.

But her aunt was not finished.

"And give me the money you got last night."

Yuri immediately shook her head.

"Aunt, those aren't my money. My friend Mimi asked me to keep them safe for her."

"I don't care!" her aunt yelled. "Give me the money right now, or get out of my house!"

"But Aunt, this house belonged to my father..."

Before Yuri could finish, her aunt slapped her hard across the face.

"Yes, it belonged to your father! Now it belongs to us!"

Tears filled Yuri's eyes.

"I lost my job. I don't have any money."

Ignoring her words, her aunt searched Yuri's purse, took Mimi's money, and left the room.

Heartbroken, Yuri prepared breakfast and then left the house.

Her best friend was a girl named Mimi. Yuri went straight to her and explained everything that had happened.

Instead of showing sympathy, Mimi frowned.

"Yuri, that money is very important to me. I need it back by tonight, no matter what."

Yuri lowered her head.

"I'll try my best."

She left and went to a nearby park. Sitting alone on a bench, she stared at the sky.

"I always try to be kind to everyone," she whispered to herself. "Then why does this always happen to me?"

Just then, a girl handed her a job advertisement flyer.

Yuri looked at it and her eyes lit up with hope.

"Finally! A job opportunity!"

She decided to attend the interview that night.

After that, she thought about her boyfriend, Han Joon.

Maybe talking to him would make her feel better.

So she went to his house.

When Han Joon opened the door, Yuri smiled and tried to step inside.

But he blocked her way.

"Why are you here?"

"I came to see my boyfriend."

"I don't have time right now. Go home."

"I'll sit quietly. I won't bother you."

But Han Joon simply shut the door in her face.

Yuri stood there in silence, feeling her heart sink.

That night, while she was getting ready for her interview, her cousin entered her room.

"Yuri, you're going to work in my place tonight."

"What? No. I have an interview."

"If you don't go, I'll tell Dad everything."

Yuri had no choice.

"Fine. I'll go."

She put on the burger shop uniform and started making deliveries.

A little later, she received an order.

When she looked at the address, she froze.

"This is Han Joon's address!"

A smile appeared on her face.

Maybe this was a chance to see him again.

Using the little money she had left, she bought an energy drink because she knew Han Joon liked them.

Then she headed toward his house.

As she approached the door, she heard a girl's laughter coming from inside.

A strange feeling settled in her heart.

She knocked.

A few seconds later, the door opened.

And in that moment, Yuri's entire world shattered.

Standing beside Han Joon was a girl.

That girl was Mimi.

Han Joon's arm was wrapped around Mimi's waist.

Yuri's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Mimi...?"

Her voice trembled.

"You two... what are you doing?"

Han Joon laughed coldly.

"Have you ever looked at yourself in a mirror?"

Yuri froze.

"You should be grateful I stayed with you for this long."

Then Mimi stepped forward with a mocking smile.

"And listen carefully, Yuri."

"I was only friends with you because Han Joon asked me to be."

Yuri felt as if her heart had stopped beating.

Mimi continued,

"Who would ever want to be friends with a poor girl like you? You don't even have a single coin to your name."

Tears rolled down Yuri's cheeks.

The two people she trusted most had betrayed her.

"Now get lost."

Han Joon slammed the door shut in her face.

Yuri stood there motionless.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she stared at the closed door.

At that moment, it felt as though her entire world had fallen apart.

But Yuri didn't know...

This was only the beginning of a new chapter in her life—one that would change her destiny forever.
