The Rebel Hearts

The Rebel Hearts

Episode 1: An Unwanted Encounter

The first day of a new semester was always one of the busiest days at Westbridge University. After weeks of vacation, students returned to campus filled with stories and expectations for the months ahead. The parking lot buzzed with the sounds of engines and lively conversations as students reunited with their friends. Yet amidst all the chaos, Tyler remained as calm as ever.

Leaning casually against his black motorcycle, he held a cup of coffee in one hand while observing the crowd around him. His presence naturally attracted attention. A few female students walking past couldn't help but steal glances in his direction before whispering among themselves.

"That's Tyler, right?" one of them asked.

"Yeah. I heard his GPA is almost perfect even though he skips classes all the time," her friend replied.

Tyler simply smirked when he overheard their conversation. He was used to being the center of attention. To him, it was nothing special.

As he enjoyed the peaceful morning, the loud screech of brakes suddenly shattered the atmosphere. A black car came to an abrupt stop in the parking space right beside his motorcycle. Tyler frowned and turned his gaze toward the vehicle. The way the driver parked alone was enough to annoy him.

"New driver or what?" he muttered under his breath.

The car door opened, and a girl stepped out with an air of confidence. The sunglasses resting on her face only added to the cold aura she carried. Without paying attention to anyone around her, she walked forward as though the entire parking lot belonged to her.

Tyler watched her for a moment before raising an eyebrow.

"Do you always park wherever you want?"

The girl stopped walking and slowly turned toward him. There wasn't the slightest hint of nervousness or surprise on her face.

"At least I know how to drive."

The quick response caught Tyler off guard. Most students avoided getting on his bad side, but this girl didn't seem intimidated at all. In fact, the way she looked at him made it seem as though he was no different from anyone else.

Tyler let out a small laugh.

"You're pretty bold."

The girl removed her sunglasses.

For the first time, Tyler found himself staring. Her hazel-green eyes were sharp, confident, and impossible to ignore. There was something about the way she looked at him that made it difficult to look away.

"My name is Stella," she said briefly.

Tyler flashed a crooked smile.

"Tyler."

"I didn't ask."

The smile immediately disappeared from his face.

A few nearby students turned to look at them in shock. Very few people dared to speak to Tyler like that.

Stella, however, couldn't have cared less. She put her sunglasses back on and looked at him one last time.

"And I don't care who you are."

Without waiting for a response, she turned around and walked toward the faculty building. Not once did she look back.

Tyler could only watch as her figure disappeared into the distance. For the first time in his life, his ego had truly been challenged.

"Interesting..." he murmured with a faint smile.

He had no idea who Stella really was. But one thing was certain. Stella had just become the first person who had ever managed to leave Tyler speechless.
