It was about 12 o’clock when we landed. We went to the airport and collected our luggage. I wasn’t feeling hungry anymore as I had the packed food just before landing. But some other students insisted on taking some refreshments. The only problem here would be jet lag. According to my watch, it was around 8:30 in the morning but, here it was midnight. Without delaying any further, we were taken to our respective hotels. Jane and we all would be sharing the same hotels. The girls and boys were given separate suites but on the same floor. This was my second time staying in a suite and that too a big one. There were three large beds there. The teacher had been given a different corner. We were instructed to try to sleep as soon as possible, which was totally impossible. None of us had stayed awake during the flight and now it was impossible to sleep.

Surprisingly Emm took no more than ten minutes to fall asleep. I assumed he was taking sleeping pills but, then I recalled that they had already checked our bags and nothing like that was there in his one. I tried to sleep but, I could not do so until 2:30 in the morning.

The next day we were given enough time to recover from our jet lag. We woke up at 8 o’clock in the morning. The outside view from our suite was amazing. There was a small playfield within the campus and there was a big tree at one corner. A flock of parrots were sitting on its branches and chirping among themselves.

We were taken to the main hall for breakfast, where we met again with Jane and Alice. I felt very hungry this time. I took two poached eggs and toast with orange juice and one bowl of instant noodles. All the others went with milk and cornflakes as I guess they were not as hungry as I was.

We were there for around 40 minutes, chatting with each other. I could see pretty much that Emm had started hitting on Alice, or wait is it Jane? I don’t really know. For the past few months, he has been fixated on getting a girlfriend. I guess it is normal for us boys to suffer from lovesickness.

The thing is, Alice looked very familiar to me from the start. I felt like I had seen her somewhere, somewhere with Emm. That is when I realised that Emm had a crush on a certain someone. That person left the school long ago after rejecting Emm. As much as I remember, Emm had another best friend back then, David. Although I did not get much near to him, I remember that David also had a crush on that same person but Emm didn’t know of it. Then it happened like that person accepted David and rejected Emm. Everything went haphazard from there. David and that girl both left the school and then Emm became very upset. He would talk to know one, but then we became friends.

I know that we might be too young for this, but it still hurts. Alice had a surprising resemblance to that girl. Although all other evidence points out that SHE is that girl but she definitely is not that girl as, her personality and figure are totally different. Alice is jolly but sharp and has a thin figure, unlike the other girl.

Chris came up and told us that since there weren’t many of us here, it would not be much fun if we didn’t sneak out at night for a secret meetup. That would be impossible. But Chris had already thought of that and received the permission of the teachers. I did not see how they would allow us to stay awake at night after 9 o’clock, as in all other movies and cartoons, they don’t. But I guess our teachers were much more modern-minded than we expected.

But then I told Chris that it would not be the same as sneaking out, to which he replied that it sounds more fun if we say it that way.

We would return from the city tour after 7.30 in the evening. Then we would have our shower and dinner and after that, we get to do all the sneaking out that we want to. As the rest of the people had not yet recovered from their jet lag, they would be in bed after dinner, so Jane, Alice, Chris, Emm, Me and another guy from their school got to stay awake for two more hours.
