Sivin's neck had been bitten halfway through by Vivian. Because of his frail body, Sivin couldn't even push off the little monster who was eating him. In a desperate attempt to save his life, he screamed in agony and terror.
When Vivian laughed, Sivin looked into his eyes, and that moment became one of the most traumatizing in his life. He was in immense pain, but as his veins were torn from his body, his nerves began to go numb, and he started screaming for help.
"Uahh, aaaaaaaaa... helppppp... haaahaaaaaaaaaaa... help mee... please helppp."
Vivian continued to laugh, enjoying the moment to the fullest—it was the most fun he had experienced in days.
"Hahahaha... You F**KING KING, I WILL MAKE YOU SCREAM FOR YOUR LIFE ONE DAY TOO, AND ALL THE OTHERS. UMHAHAHAHA JUST YOU WAIT, HAHA..."
The guard outside heard the screaming. At first, he thought it was Vivian, but suddenly he heard cries for help mixed with devilish laughter. The sound made his entire body scream with fear. He tried to open the door, but the Beast arrived at that exact moment and growled,
"Oye... what do you think you are doing? It's my property! Get the f**k out of here."
The guard stepped back, but as the Beast approached the door, he too heard the voices. He turned to the guard and asked,
"Did someone come when I wasn't here?"
The guard hesitated but answered,
"Y-yess... the Second Prince just went in."
The Beast was instantly enraged.
"Why the f**k did you let that idiot go in? Are you trying to get him killed?"
Both the guard and the Beast were terrified now, realizing those screams weren't Vivian's, but those of the Prince.
The Beast kicked the door open. What he and the guard saw was something they couldn't bring themselves to believe: a clueless 15-year-old kid, not even a warrior, had a 3rd-Circle mage pinned down and was eating him alive.
The moment the guard witnessed what Vivian was doing, he realized that what Vivian had said earlier wasn't a lie. He thought to himself,
"After seeing this, I can't even tell which one is the real beast between these two monsters."
The Beast kicked Vivian in the stomach, pushing him away from Sivin, and tried to stop the bleeding on the Prince's neck with a piece of cloth.
After a while, Sivin regained his senses. As he woke up, the first thing he saw was Vivian's face—a face twisted into a scary smile. To Sivin, Vivian was nothing less than a monster, yet Vivian just kept laughing, delighted by the look of pure terror on the brat's face.
"Ahahahahha... You look hilarious with that look on your face, you f**king brat."
Sivin was so consumed by rage that he snapped.
He began chanting, preparing a spell to burn Vivian alive, but he made a fatal mistake: he tried to use magic in front of the Beast.
The moment Sivin gathered fire in his right arm, his arm went flying through the air.
The Beast had ripped it off with his bare hands. The moment the Beast saw a magic spell, his rage peaked.
"Wahhhhhhhh...."
Without hesitation, he began tearing into Sivin.
The Beast mauled him all over his body, and before the guard could even react, Sivin was almost dead. On the brink of death, Sivin had a flashback to his meeting with his father:
"Father, I want to go and meet Vivian Dragonior. Please allow me to do so."
The King had frozen, then asked,
"Why do you want to meet that brat?"
Sivin replied, "Father, I think I can get the answer from Vivian and find those things you are looking for."
The King was unsure about his idiot son going there, but since it wasn't his loss, he agreed.
However, he warned: "Even if you go there, under no circumstances are you to use magic in front of the Beast. Do you understand?"
Sivin was startled by those words but asked,
"Father, why can't I use magic in front of him? He is just our dog."
The King's mood shifted, and he growled,
"This is an order, so no magic. If you understand, you can go."
At that moment, Sivin finally understood why the King had warned him. As the flashback ended, the Beast bit into his neck and tore his head from his body, resulting in Sivin's death.
Although the guard had been terrified of Vivian earlier, the sight of the Beast sent him sprinting for his life. Vivian watched the whole time. He didn't know the reason, but he finally understood that if anyone uses magic in front of the Beast, he will kill them instantly.
The Beast continued eating the body from different angles. After a while, when he had almost finished consuming Sivin, he regained his senses.
He looked down and saw he was standing over a headless corpse; the head was rolling on the ground nearby.
He saw Vivian sitting there without a glimpse of fear, and the Beast asked,
"Hey child, please tell me it wasn't me who did it, right? Please tell me it's not my doing."
Vivian sensed something was different about the Beast, though he wasn't sure what. He replied,
"Who else do you see here besides you and me? And if it wasn't you, do you think it was my doing?"
The Beast changed completely. He acted like a man who had committed a crime without realizing it.
"No... no.... This can't be happening. It wasn't me. I didn't do it. I didn't eat him. It wasn't me. No.. no.. no."
He put his hands on his head and sat in the corner of the prison, looking distraught. Vivian was shocked; the Beast hadn't been like this when he was torturing him, nor when he was eating Sivin.
Vivian wondered, if this was the "real" him, what was the persona from before?
If it weren't the real him, the Beast wouldn't care about things like this.
Vivian asked,
"Oye! What's wrong with you? You weren't like this when you were torturing me. Or is it because he is a prince and I am not?"
The Beast replied, "It was not me, believe me, it wasn't me. I didn't do it."
Vivian realized something was deeply off with his mind, so he just sat beside the Beast and looked out the window.
Meanwhile, the guard who had run away was stopped by someone asking,
"Why are you running?"
The guard was so terrified that he blurted out,
"Vivian and the Beast killed the Second Prince!"
At first, no one believed him, but he didn't stop running. They rushed to the prison, and what they saw looked like the gates of hell: hundreds of rats, a headless body, and the head rolling on the floor. Vivian was staring into their eyes as if to announce that it was his doing, while the Beast sat in the corner, his entire body covered in blood.
Vivian looked at them and locked eyes with them, saying,
"Are you guys going to stand there like idiots, or are you going to report this mess?"
The guards felt that if they didn't leave immediately, the kid would kill them all without blinking. As they started to flee, Vivian stopped them.
"Oye! Take the head with you, otherwise, who is going to believe that the Beast killed the Prince? Hhahaha."
The guards were drowning in fear and couldn't deny his orders. They took Sivin's head and ran toward the royal palace. When they entered the Great Hall, where all those involved in the Dragonior family's fall were meeting with the Crown Prince, the atmosphere turned cold.
At first, the King was angry at the disturbance, but when he saw Sivin's head, he froze. The hall went deathly silent. After a moment, the King exploded with rage.
"WHO DID THIS TO MY SON, AND WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO HOLD HIM LIKE THAT? RODERICK, I WANT YOU TO COME WITH ME AND KILL EVERY SINGLE ONE WHO DID THIS!"
The weight of the King's aura was so immense that the guards trembled even more. The King roared,
"I WON'T ASK AGAIN! WHO DID THIS TO MY SON? TELL ME NOW!"
One guard gathered his courage.
"M-My Lord... it happened in the prison where Vivian is. The one who ki-killed him was the Beast."
The King's anger reached a fever pitch, but then tears landed on the floor as he spoke with profound sadness.
"I told that idiot of a son not to use magic in front of him, but he still did. I knew if he ended up using magic in front of the Beast, he would die. Why did I let him go? Why!"
The Crown Prince was frustrated by the mention of Vivian Dragonior.
"That brat, Vivian. If it wasn't for Father lusting after the Dragonior family's treasure, I would have killed him already."
The King began assembling his soldiers to march on the prison, but Roderick stopped him.
"My Lord, I want you to wait until morning. We don't know the state of the Beast right now, and I don't want you to suffer any more than you already have. It is a request from your loyal servant. Please, My Lord."
Although the King wanted to burn the prison to the ground, he listened to Roderick and agreed.
Back in the cell, Vivian looked out the window at the stars and suddenly spoke.
"Tomorrow's sun will be beautiful, wouldn't it, Beast? OR SHOULD I CALL YOU A SACRED CAT INSTEAD? HAHHAHAHA."
The Beast said nothing. He sat in the corner, silent, as if he had just witnessed a scene that triggered his trauma.
