Somewhere in the X city. Yi chen was sleeping without a care in the world. Having travelled so far for the first time, he really was catching up on his sleep.

Li jing, Yi chen's mother, peeked into his room through the door. "This kid...". She entered the room and came closer to the bed.

"Xiao chen, You shouldn't take your shirt off while sleeping.. the AC is still turned on.. What if you catch a cold or something. You really need to take care of yourself" Li jing's eyes were filled with concern.

Li jing tucked him in the blanket. Looking at Yi chen who was sleeping without a care in the world with drool coming out of the corner of his mouth.

Li jing giggled "This silly child". She stroked his hair causing Yi chen to stir up in his sleep. "Stop it.. Grandpa..let me..sleep.."

Li jing chuckled "I'm sure your grandpa must be missing you too honey."

Listening to a sweet female voice in the morning, instead of his grandfather's angry one that he's been listening to ever since he was a kid.

Yi chen finally realized something was not quite right.

By now, his grandpa would have kicked him out of the bed and told him to go fetch the water from the river stream down the mountain.

He suddenly sat up straight, eyes wide awake. Looking straight at the pretty lady who seems to be his mother, he finally recollected all the memories from the past three days.

Oh right, I'm no longer at my grandpa's. He thinks.

"Ah!" Li jing was startled when her son who was sleeping like a baby suddenly woke up like a vampire from his coffin. "I'm sorry, Honey. Did I wake you up?"

Looking at his mom, whom he didn't have much interaction with since childhood, Yi chen found it a little awkward. But looking at her kind face, he still managed to answer.

"It's alright mom. I feel fresh all over! The tiredness is almost all gone!" Yi chen smiled brightly at her.

Looking at her son's handsome and sunny face, Li jing relaxed. Her curved eyes held so much warmth. Yi chen felt like he was melting under her warm gaze.

Having gotten used to his old man's glare, This warm gaze was really something new. That Old man only looked at him this way in his childhood, after he grew up te warm gaze vanished.

As Yi chen was looking at Li jing with a dazzled expression. She chuckled, her eyes brimming with love. "Really? I'm relieved then."

At that time, Yi ming, Yi chen's father, also came upstairs. Looking at the mother and son pair. He smiled and walked over to his wife and son.

He looked at his wife and smiled "So you managed to wake him up, darling~."

Li jing looked back at him with a smile. "Yes Honey, he was really sleeping like a baby."

Yi chen felt a blush crept up his cheeks. He twitched his lips. Bruh.. I'm really not used to this lovey-dovey atmosphere. Too sweet Too sweet.

As he was thinking this. His father turned to him. "Good morning son~!!". His dad ruffled his hair with a smile "Go and freshen up! Your dad made a superb breakfast for you. You're gonna love it!!"

Yi ming suddenly came close to Yi chen's ear and mischievously whispered "And son.. You have drool on your face~."

"HUH!!!" f*ck! So embarrassing. *internal facepalm*. Yi chen covered his face with his hand and sprang up from his bed "DAD! MOM! Please wait downstairs! I'll be right there in ten minutes!!" and with that he ran to the bathroom.

Yi ming and Li jing were left stunned looking at their son's energy. They looked at each other and chuckled. Li jing then turned to the bathroom door "It's alright, honey~. Take your time."

Yi ming also laughed "Silly kid."
