EPISODE FIVE:BATTLE FOR TIME AND SPACE

**1971**

Tears streamed freely down Vaani’s cheeks, catching the pale moonlight on the balcony. "I mean... I am utterly ashamed of myself for loving you," she choked out, her voice trembling with raw vulnerability. "To you, it’s all just a joke. But this is real love, Karan. And love can drag a person to places they never wanted to go."

Karan’s playful demeanor vanished, replaced by a deep wave of guilt. He stepped closer, his voice soft and remorseful. "I'm sorry, Vaani. I really didn't mean to make you cry. But we just can't be together."

"Of course," Vaani whispered bitterly, wiping her face. "You’re going to go right back to that beautiful girl from the future, aren't you? I mean, who am I? Just some simple village girl from the seventies."

"Vaani, don't say that," Karan said gently, reaching out toward her. "You are beautiful, you're cute—you are everything any man could ever ask for. But I already have a life. I have a girlfriend who is about to become my wife. Krisha is waiting for me."

Vaani looked up at him, a desperate, wild hope flashing in her eyes. "Then take me with you. Take me to the future! Let me, you, and Krisha all sit down and talk. We can both be your wives. Please, Karan."

Karan managed a weak, startled smile, a cold spike of panic hitting him at the thought of such an arrangement. Seeing his hesitation, Vaani stepped back into her room. "I’ll be waiting for your response in the morning," she said quietly, closing the door behind her.

Left alone in the quiet night, a heavy sadness settled over Karan. He made his way down to the laboratory to prepare for his departure, but the moment he stepped inside, he noticed a piece of paper sitting conspicuously on the main desk. It was a note from Kiran. Karan’s breath hitched as his eyes scanned the frantic handwriting, revealing that his grandfather had traveled to the year 1973 with a singular, dark mission: to murder Govind Oberoi.

"No, no, no," Karan muttered in absolute shock.

Realizing the catastrophic danger to the timeline, Karan quickly pulled on his high-tech bodysuit. He transferred himself into the massive command wheelchair, hesitating for only a fraction of a second as he thought of Vaani asleep upstairs. Steeling his resolve, he slammed his hand down onto the primary activation button and blurred out of existence, hurtling toward 1973.

**1973**

The sky over Mumbai was a chaotic sheet of fire and thick, black smoke. Karan materialized in the heart of the city, dressed in his sleek superhero bodysuit and a simple party mask he had quickly grabbed to conceal his identity. Below him, the streets were in pure pandemonium. The entire city was being torn apart by a raging Kiran, whose metallic silver skin reflected the explosions around him as police forces desperately opened fire, their bullets flattening uselessly against his armored hide.

With a powerful surge of his gravitational abilities, Karan launched himself through the air, landing heavily on a rooftop right beside his grandfather.

"Grandson! You followed me," Kiran roared, a twisted, triumphant smile on his silver face. "That is good! Let's end this world together. Our family gave everything to help this nation, and yet they killed me. They deserve this!"

Tears welled in Karan’s eyes beneath his mask. "No, Grandpa! You can't destroy them! If you change the past like this, the entire future will be trapped in a paradox of pure madness!"

Kiran took a menacing step closer, the temporal radiation radiating from his body in waves. "So what, beta? Our family is nothing to them—just a burden to be discarded! Our dynasty saved the world, yet they slaughtered me and your father. We can run this entire show, son. We could be gods!"

"If you do this, Krisha won't even exist!" Karan screamed, his voice breaking as he wept. "Vaani, Grandma, our entire lives... everything will become one massive nexus event error! I won't let you kill Govind. I'm sorry."

Desperate to stop the madness, Karan thrust his hands forward, unleashing a wave of gravitational force. But Kiran was ready. Channeling his own raw power, Kiran's eyes flared with a blinding silver light, easily overpowering the assault and slamming Karan violently into the rooftop.

Karan writhed on the ground, his muscles screaming in pain, completely unable to stand. Kiran spared him one last look before turning away, tearing his way into the industrial complex below to hunt down Govind Oberoi.

Lying defeated in the dirt, Karan’s mind began to wander. The sounds of the battle faded, replaced by the echoing voice of Krisha ringing through his consciousness since childhood.

*I love you...* her voice echoed clearly.

Another memory surged forward, louder this time. *I don't want to lose you, Karan!*

The memory acted as a sudden, violent spark within his soul. A surge of pure adrenaline and raw fury flooded Karan's veins. He didn't just jump this time—with a deafening roar of anger, his body lifted completely off the ground, and for the first time, he flew straight up into the sky.

He soared through the shattered roof of the facility, confronting Kiran just as the silver monster was tearing through Govind’s armed guards. Karan thrust his hands downward, unleashing a massive gravitational pulse that flipped Kiran through the air and slammed him hard into the concrete.

Before Kiran could recover, Karan’s eyes flared with an unprecedented, brilliant glow, unleashing a torrent of pure energy directly at his grandfather. Kiran desperately unleashed his own power to counter it, but Karan's resolve was absolute. His energy tore through Kiran’s defenses, and with a final, blinding flash, the silver entity dissolved entirely into nothingness.

Silence fell over the room. Karan landed softly, panting heavily, a mixture of profound relief and absolute horror washing over him. *I just changed the past,* he realized, his chest heaving.

Outside the facility, a crowd of citizens began to gather around, cheering wildly for the mysterious masked superhero who had just saved their lives.

But before anyone could speak, the entire world stopped.

Time itself froze. The cheering citizens turned to statues mid-breath, and the flames in the air hung perfectly still. Karan watched in sheer terror as a colossal, swirling storm of deep purple and bright yellow energy erupted in the sky above. Realizing the timeline was fracturing, Karan flew frantically back to his hidden wheelchair time machine. He threw himself into the seat and activated the return sequence, blurring away just as the terrifying temporal storm completely wiped out the year 1973, rewriting the fabric of reality behind him.

**2026**

The machine materialized back in the dark laboratory. Panting, Karan rushed out of the building. He ran straight through the altered streets toward his mother's house.

When he slipped through the front door, his heart dropped. The house was completely redecorated. Looking through the living room doorway, he saw his mother, Tanvi, laughing and sharing a completely different life with a strange man who was clearly her husband. Sitting nearby was a young girl—their daughter.

Confused and panicked, Karan sneaked into his mother's bedroom, desperately searching through her personal belongings for any sign of his own existence. Hidden in a drawer, his fingers brushed against an old photograph. He pulled it out, staring in shock. It was a picture of Tanvi and his biological father, holding a two-year-old version of himself.

*Where am I now?* Karan thought, his mind racing. *Why is my mom married to someone else?*

Suddenly, the bedroom door clicked open. Tanvi walked in, stopping dead in her tracks as she found a strange man dressed in a high-tech superhero bodysuit standing in her room.

"Nobelman?" Tanvi gasped, her eyes wide with reverence and surprise. "What... what are you doing here in my home?"

Karan pulled off his party mask, a hopeful, desperate smile breaking across his face as he stepped closer to her. "Mom... it’s me. It’s your son, Karan."

Tanvi’s expression shifted from awe to utter confusion, a profound sadness entering her eyes. "I'm sorry, Mr. Nobelman... I don't know how you know my son's name. But my son Karan died twenty years ago in a laboratory, during a terrible, failed experiment."

Karan froze, the words striking him like a physical blow. The world seemed to tilt beneath his feet as a cold dread settled deep into his chest.

"Sir?" Tanvi asked, taking a cautious step back, noticing his pale face. "Are you alright?"

Unable to utter a single word, Karan turned and launched himself out the open window, flying blindly up into the clouds to escape the nightmare he had created.

*What have I done?* Karan thought in pure agony as he looked down at the city below. From high above, the skyline of Mumbai looked entirely different, unrecognizable, and cold. He had saved his own life, but in doing so, he had completely erased himself from the world.
