Chapter 5: The Two Blue Lines

Three weeks had passed since that passionate night by the fireplace. Taehyung stood inside the spacious master bathroom, his heart hammering violently against his ribs. On the marble counter lay a small, plastic stick. He had his eyes closed, his hands clenched tightly together as he counted down the seconds in his head.

Five... four... three... two... one.

Taehyung slowly opened his eyes, his vision blurring with instant tears as he looked down. Two distinct, dark pink lines were clearly visible on the digital indicator window.

"Oh my god," Taehyung whispered, a gasp escaping his lips as he covered his mouth with his hands. "It happened. It really happened."

He grabbed the test and ran out of the bathroom, his bare feet flying across the carpeted bedroom. Jungkook was downstairs in the main dining hall, reviewing a regional acquisition proposal on his laptop while sipping coffee.

"Jungkook! Jungkookie!" Taehyung screamed as he flew down the grand marble staircase.

Jungkook immediately stood up, his Alpha instincts flaring in alarm at the sudden shouting. "Taehyung! Slow down! Don't run on the stairs!"

Taehyung didn't listen. He leaped off the final step straight into Jungkook’s arms, throwing his legs around his waist. He was sobbing openly, his face buried in the Alpha's neck.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" Jungkook asked frantically, his hands checking Taehyung's back, his cedarwood scent flaring with sudden anxiety.

Without a word, Taehyung pulled back slightly and held out the plastic stick right in front of Jungkook’s face.

Jungkook froze. His dark eyes locked onto the two pink lines. For a full ten seconds, the brilliant, sharp CEO of Apex Horizon completely lost the ability to speak. His brain scrambled to process the image before him. "Taehyung... is this... are we...?"

"We are going to be parents, Jungkookie!" Taehyung cried out, a radiant, tearful boxy smile breaking across his face. "I'm pregnant! We're having a baby!"

A massive, profound wave of emotion crashed over Jungkook’s chest. A bright, ecstatic smile broke across his handsome face as he let out a joyful shout, spinning Taehyung around in the middle of the grand hall. "We're having a baby! Oh my god, Taehyung! Thank you! Thank you, my love!"

The news spread through the family like wildfire. Within two hours, Seokjin, Namjoon, Jimin, and Yoongi had all arrived at the mansion, bringing massive bouquets of flowers and organic prenatal gifts.

"I knew it!" Seokjin wept with joy, hugging Taehyung tightly. "My beautiful boy is going to be a mother! Namjoon, call the family chef, we need to completely restructure the mansion's pantry with organic supplements!"

Jimin, who was now just days away from his own delivery date, sat on the sofa, wiping his eyes. "We're going to have babies so close in age, Taehyungie! They will grow up as best friends, just like us!"

Yoongi patted Jungkook’s shoulder, a rare, bright grin on his face. "Congratulations, Jungkook. Welcome to the club. Get ready for sleepless nights and absolute chaos."

"I don't care about the chaos," Jungkook said, his eyes fixed entirely on Taehyung, who was laughing happily with Jin. "I will give him the entire world."
