Episode 3

Sitting on a stool beside the counter with a beet red face, Amelia could not help but use her hair as a curtain to protect herself from further embarrassment from Avery.

'His skin is damn soft, and he looks so much more handsome up close' amelia thought to herself. She shook her head

'What the fuck am I thinking'

'What was that for'

'Handsome, what do I mean by that'

'Amelia get a grip, remember no distractions, you've got a lot more to do, a lot more to achieve, so no distractions'

'I bet I'm as red as fuck' she moves more of her hair to her face,

'Avery can't see me like this'.

"Tell me what happened between the both of you back there, did it all go as I planned, tell me did my plan work out; hmm judging from the look on your face, it is obvious that my plan worked, tell me Amelia how do you feel?" Avery teased Amelia adding more to her embarrassment. Amelia's face turned a deeper shade of red.

"Gosh Avery, you're very embarrassing" amelia said,forcing the words out of her throat.

"Hmm, embarrassing? I don't think so. Amelia can you please enlighten and broaden my horizon on the reason why your face is red and why you let your bun loose,I thought you prefer to keep your hair in bun while at work, so why the sudden change of heart?" Avery's high pitched voice echoed throughout the entire store. The alarm went off indicating a change of shift.

"Well you're one lucky bitch miss" Avery joked. Amelia stood up,went into the changing room,changed her dress and put her hair in ponytail, took her end of the month bonus package and exited the room.

"Bye Mira, see you on Monday and thanks for your not so embarrassing speech, it actually helped a lot by adding more to my embarrassment and don't forget to tell me about your date".

"Bye Amy and thanks for acknowledging that fact, I love you too. Don't worry, I'll keep you updated, see you on Monday". Avery said and laughed. Amelia exited the store.

Walking down the street, Amelia looked around her surrounding taking every little thing in detail. From the way people talked, smiled and laughed among themselves, she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. She murmured to herself,

"How I wish"

On getting home, Amelia took a deep breath before opening the door,letting herself into what she would call her very own prison.

Taking a few steps forward,she took off her coat, took off her shoes, dropped the basket she was holding at the corner of the house and wore her comfy slippers.

Looking around the in search of someone, she wondered,

'Why is the house so quiet'.

She walked towards the nearest door which had a warning on top 'KNOCK BEFORE YOU ENTER, UNLESS YOU ARE SEEKING DEATH' and right under it was 'This room is the property of the cutest, most beautiful and intelligent twins - FRANSCISCA a beauty goddess and , FRANSISCO the genius. Amelia deliberated on whether she should go in or not. After a few seconds, she knocked on the door softly, after getting no response she entered. Inside the room, there was two separate beds, each in different colors. The right side of the room is dark green while the other side is bright yellow in color.

The things in the room were kind of organized and the settings of the room is a typical teenager room [so let your imagination take control at this point].

Fransisca was on the bed with her book in her hands,reading while Fransisco was on a stool beside his bed working on something Amelia knows she could not understand.

Amelia cleared her throat, making a loud noise so it would attract the insiders attention. The twins head whipped in the direction of the noise.

"Good afternoon sis, what do you need" Francisco was the first to acknowledge Amelia's presence and he talked politely to her while Fransisca on the other hand simply rolled her eyes and snorted,

"What else can she need other than making our lives miserable" Fransisca said coldly and continued reading her book.

"Sisca, not now, we already discussed this matter, so don't bring it up again" Francisco reprimanded his sister who only snorted in reply while Amelia stood rigid on her spot.

"Well you can think whatever you want to Fransisca, I DON'T CARE, cause all I care about is you getting your damn ass to the kitchen and preparing dinner for everyone and I'm talking to the both of you got it!!!!" Amelia said out of anger before continuing.

"So you are free to think whatever you want, we're living in a free world girl, so I DON'T CARE".

"You are just a maid and nothing else in this house, so what gives you the right to reprimand me and order me around?" Francisca questioned Amelia.

"If you want to know what right I have over you, then go downstairs and ask Olivia, she has the answer, so don't bother me with those silly questions" Amelia said as she paused before continuing,

"And if you know what is good for you, do what I asked you to unless you want to see what I can do" Amelia said angrily and left the room.

The twins were in a daze after Amelia left the room, especially Francisca, because neither of them had heard Amelia use strong words like that nor see her get angry at them. Amelia's outburst scarred Francisca more because she has always considered her scary and mysterious despite living under the same roof, Francisca's black eyes were filled with fear.

Amelia outside the room took a deep breath and moved to the room beside it, this room was decorated in a more childish manner.

The space within the four walls of the small room felt like two different worlds. A thin line,as thin as line ever gets, divided the room into two sections; one dark blue and the other, sky blue.

The dark blue portion was neatly arranged,a made bed with a cute peaceful looking Emilio sleeping on it,unstained carpet, neatly organized shelves of books and toys and a proper closet.

The other section was about as clean as a dump.Toys scattered all over the stained carpet, shelves were empty apart from a few broken crayons.The worst part of all,on the disorganized bed,a messy Emily was asleep with a candy in her hand.

Looking at the two figures sleeping peacefully, Amelia smiled softly.She went over to Emilio's side and took off his glasses and put it in the case which was on top of the desk. Then she went to Emily's side and took the candy from her clutches and tucked in her properly,switched off the lights and left the room.
