episode 4 – The Villain: Friend or Foe?

Lucien finally traced the conspiracy to a single name that had been erased from every official record.

Aster Noctis.

A man known only as the Shadow Sovereign.

Every assassination.

Every kidnapping.

Every rumor that ruined noble families.

Every hidden faction.

They all answered to him.

The kingdom feared his name.

The five male leads prepared for war.

But when Lucien finally stood face to face with Aster...

The villain smiled.

"I've been waiting for you."

Lucien's hand rested on the hilt of his sword.

"You kidnapped me."

"I did."

"You tortured me."

"I allowed it."

The room fell silent.

Cassian's killing intent exploded.

"You dare admit it?"

Aster looked at him without fear.

"If I hadn't hidden Lucien..."

"He would already be dead."

Everyone froze.

"What?"

Aster threw an ancient document onto the table.

It was over a thousand years old.

At its center was a prophecy.

The Forgotten Prophecy

"When the Silver Star is born beneath the Crimson Moon..."

"Five Kings shall fall in love with him."

"The Dragon shall guard his sky."

"The Beast shall guard his earth."

"The Kingdom shall divide."

"The Gods shall awaken."

"Only one bound by every heart shall survive the end."

"If the Silver Star stands alone..."

"The world shall perish."

"If every bond becomes one..."

"A new era shall begin."

Silence filled the room.

Lucien stared at the prophecy.

"So..."

"I was never a side character."

Aster nodded.

"You were always the center."

The Memories Return

That night...

The prophecy awakened everyone's memories completely.

Not dreams.

Everything.

Cassian remembered standing beside Leonard while Lucien died alone.

Rowan remembered refusing to believe Lucien until it was too late.

Elias remembered discovering the conspiracy moments after Lucien's death.

Caelum remembered praying for a miracle that never came.

Adrian remembered burying his younger brother with his own hands.

Kael remembered arriving one minute too late.

Riven remembered spending decades searching for Lucien's grave.

Every memory...

Every regret...

Returned at once.

The seven men gathered around Lucien.

No one spoke.

Finally...

Cassian stepped forward.

He knelt.

The future Emperor...

Knelt.

"I'm sorry."

One by one...

Rowan.

Elias.

Caelum.

Adrian.

Kael.

Riven.

All knelt before Lucien.

"We failed you."

Lucien looked at them quietly.

"You aren't the people from that life."

"We are."

Rowan answered softly.

"We remember every mistake."

"And we'll spend this life making sure we never repeat them."

Friend... or Enemy?

Lucien turned toward Aster.

"You knew all of this."

"Yes."

"You could have told me."

"No."

"Why?"

"Because destiny cannot be escaped."

"It must be understood."

Lucien hated him.

Yet...

Without Aster...

He would never have discovered the prophecy.

Never learned the truth.

Never awakened everyone's memories.

He wasn't a hero.

He wasn't entirely a villain.

He had become something far more dangerous.

A man willing to become history's greatest monster if it meant saving the world.

Lucien lowered his sword.

"I still haven't forgiven you."

Aster smiled faintly.

"I never asked you to."

The Final Revelation

High Priest Caelum uncovered the prophecy's final page.

One line had been hidden beneath a divine seal.

As the seal faded, the forgotten words appeared.

"The Silver Star cannot bear the world's burden alone."

"The Sacred Bond must be completed."

"Only through the Rite of Eternal Marriage shall the Six Hearts become One."

"Only then can the Calamity be defeated."

Everyone stared.

Elias blinked.

"...Marriage?"

Cassian looked at Caelum.

"Is this some kind of joke?"

"It isn't."

Kael groaned.

"You've got to be kidding me."

Even the ever-calm Rowan covered his face.

Lucien sighed.

"So..."

"The fate of the world..."

"...depends on me getting married?"

Caelum nodded reluctantly.

"The prophecy says the sacred bond must be completed."

The room fell into stunned silence.

Then Aster chuckled for the first time.

"Looks like saving the world just became far more complicated."

Outside, storm clouds gathered over the Empire. The ancient Calamity was stirring, and the people who had once lost Lucien in another lifetime now stood united. Whether they would become his protectors, his husbands, or both, one thing was certain:

This time, they would not let fate take him away again.
