Mr. Constanteno... Mr. Constanteno!!

My teacher was calling out, but either I was deep in thought or just completely spaced out — I didn't hear a thing.

Suddenly, someone kicked my chair, making me whip around.

"What is your problem?! Why do you keep kicking people's seats?!" I snapped, annoyed.

"Are you deaf? Our teacher has been calling your name for ages," explained Yuri, my childhood best friend.

I quickly turned around and saw the irritation written all over Sir's face.

Oh no, I'm in big trouble, I thought to myself.

"Y-yes Sir! You were calling for me, Sir?" I stammered.

"Are you hard of hearing, Mr. Constanteno? I've mentioned your name several times already! You've been staring into space this whole time and not paying attention to my lesson — and it looks like I'm right," Sir lectured.

"I'm sorry Sir! I am listening, you just can't tell, hehe..." I lied through my teeth, my heart pounding with nervousness.

"Alright class. Since Mr. Constanteno says he's listening to my discussion, then he can come up here to the blackboard, solve this problem, and explain it to everyone," Sir said. My knees instantly turned to jelly.

"Oh come on Sir! I was just joking! The truth is... I really don't have any idea about this at all!" I admitted, and Sir just shook his head.

"That's exactly what happens — all big talk, but you actually know nothing at all," Sir said, shaking his head.

"I was just teasing you. Next time, pay attention, alright? And stop being so full of yourself," Sir added.

I just gave him a peace sign, then looked over at Yuri who was trying hard not to laugh.

Damn you, Yuri. You're dead meat later when we get outside.

"Alright class, looks like time's up. It's lunch break now — keep the noise down, okay?" Sir reminded us before leaving.

As soon as he was gone, I glared daggers at Yuri — who immediately looked away, avoiding my gaze.

The next morning, I was hurrying to class because I was already running late, when I accidentally bumped into someone. When I lifted my head, our eyes met — and suddenly the whole world seemed to slow down, just like a scene straight out of a K-drama.

(Do I even need to describe just how handsome he was? Nah... you might try to steal him away from me... just kidding!)

But seriously though, he was incredibly good-looking. He had bright orange hair, and his eyes sparkled as if they were trying to charm me. On top of everything else, he looked so adorable to me — honestly, it was too much! (Hahaha, get a hold of yourself, Han!)

I was completely lost in thought until suddenly, someone flicked my forehead.

"Ouch!" I yelped, pressing a hand to my forehead. I hadn't even noticed that this handsome guy had been staring at me the whole time.

"Sorry about that. You've been standing there staring into space for quite a while now," he said.

The moment I heard his voice, I felt like my soul was about to leave my body — it was so gentle and soothing!

"So sweet..." blurted out of my mouth completely out of nowhere, leaving both of us stunned.

"Ah!! Oh my gosh — I meant... what's your name?!"

"Ahh!! No, wait — I mean, I'm so sorry!" I stammered frantically, my face turning bright red.

He let out a soft, low laugh. "Hmm... hahaha." I was absolutely floored — even his laugh was so captivating.

Anyway, I'm Kean De Guzman. And I'm sorry too — I should have been watching where I was going," Kean said.

"No, I should be the one apologizing. I'm really sorry," I replied.

"It's alright. Well then, I'll head on ahead now," he said, helping me get back on my feet.

"O-okay! See you around then."

I looked around, craning my neck to find that troublemaker — Yuri.

Where on earth is Yuri? He just left me behind like that! What a nerve... but then again, thanks to him running off, I ended up bumping into that cute guy — I mean, Kean. Heheheheheh.........
