Chapter 1 – A New Beginning

Mannat Khan couldn't believe it.

She was finally on a flight to South Korea.

She sat by the window, staring at the clouds with the biggest smile on her face.

"Am I really going to Korea? On a scholarship? This feels like a dream..." she whispered to herself.

After a few hours, the plane finally landed.

As soon as Mannat stepped out of the airport, her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Wow... Everything is so beautiful!" she said while looking around like an excited little kid.

The clean streets, tall buildings, colorful cafés, and kind people made her fall in love with Korea instantly.

Soon, she reached her university.

The huge campus was even more beautiful than the pictures she had seen online.

"This place is amazing!" she smiled.

After completing the admission process, she went to her dorm room.

Her roommates were already there.

"Hi, everyone! I'm Mannat... Nice to meet you!" she greeted them with a bright smile.

After keeping her luggage, she rested for a while.

The next morning, she attended her first class.

Days slowly passed...

Every day, Mannat went to university, attended lectures, made new memories, and enjoyed her new life in Korea.

One evening, after returning from the university, she was walking towards her dorm when she suddenly noticed a man standing a few steps away.

He looked unbelievably handsome.

He seemed to be around 30 years old, wearing a perfectly fitted black suit.

His sharp jawline, calm expression, and confident walk made him look like someone straight out of a K-drama.

Mannat couldn't stop staring at him.

The man walked straight towards her.

He stopped right in front of her and said in English,

"What are you looking at? You'll cast an evil eye on me."

Mannat was so lost in his looks that she accidentally replied in Hindi,

"Nahi... Mujhe to pyaar ho gaya hai."

(No... I think I've fallen in love.)

The man frowned.

"What?" he asked, not understanding.

Mannat's eyes widened.

"Oh... N-Nothing! Nothing!" she quickly replied in English.

Embarrassed, she turned around and ran away as fast as she could.

The man quietly watched her disappear.

Then, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

He took out his phone, looked at someone's profile, and softly said,

"Interesting... Mannat Khan."

But how did he already know her name...?

Just then, a black luxury car stopped in front of him.

A man in a formal suit stepped out and respectfully bowed.

"Sir, the board meeting will start in thirty minutes."

The handsome man nodded.

"Let's go."

Before getting into the car, he looked once again in the direction where Mannat had run away.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"She's different..." he murmured.

Within seconds, the black car disappeared from the university campus.

Meanwhile...

Mannat finally reached her dorm room, breathing heavily.

She closed the door and leaned against it.

"Oh my God... What did I just say?" she covered her face with both hands.

Her roommates looked at her in confusion.

"Mannat, are you okay?"

She quickly shook her head.

"N-No... I mean yes... I'm fine!"

But deep inside, she couldn't stop thinking about that handsome stranger.

She had no idea who he was.

A professor?

A businessman?

Or someone else?

That whole night, his face kept appearing in her mind.

She sighed and looked at the ceiling.

"I hope I never meet him again... That was so embarrassing."

But fate had already written something completely different.
