EPISODE 3

CHAOS AGENT

EPISODE 3

---

The morning after the attack was quiet.

Too quiet.

Jace stood in the command tent, staring at the file General Hayes had given him. The photo of Alexander Sterling stared back—cold eyes, cruel smile, the face of a man who'd destroyed his life.

He killed my parents.

The thought echoed in his mind like a drumbeat. He was twelve years old when they died. He remembered the knock on the door, the two soldiers in dress uniforms, the words that had shattered his world.

"Sergeant Holloway and Lieutenant Holloway were killed in action. We're so sorry for your loss."

He'd stood there, frozen, unable to process it. His father had taught him how to shoot. His mother had taught him how to survive. And now they were gone.

He'd been sent to a military boarding school after that. The only place that would take him. The only place that understood.

"You're a Holloway," the commandant had told him. "Your parents were heroes. And you're going to be one too."

Jace had believed him. He'd trained. He'd fought. He'd killed. He'd enlisted at eighteen, joined Delta Force at twenty-two, led Task Force 141 at twenty-five.

And now he was here—a fugitive, a traitor, a ghost.

But not for long.

---

Hayes found him still staring at the file.

"You need to move," she said. "The Council is coming for you. They know you're still alive."

"Where am I supposed to go?"

"I know a place. A safehouse in D.C. Marcus set it up years ago."

Jace looked at her. "You're helping me?"

"I'm trying to."

"Why?"

Hayes hesitated. "Because I've done terrible things. Things I can't undo. But I can try to make it right."

"You knew about the massacre. You knew about the framing."

"Yes."

"And you didn't stop it."

"I couldn't."

"Couldn't? Or wouldn't?"

"Both."

She handed him a key. "Everything you need is there. But you can't tell anyone. Not even your team."

Jace took the key. "What about Amara?"

"Especially Amara. The Council is watching her. If they know she's helping you, they'll kill her."

---

Jace found Amara in the motor pool, still hunched over her laptop.

"I need to go away for a while," he said. "Just for a few days."

"Why?"

"I need to find some answers."

"Answers to what?"

"To everything."

She studied his face. "You're going after them, aren't you? The Council."

"I'm going after the truth."

"That's the same thing."

"No. It's different."

She shook her head. "You're going to get yourself killed."

"Maybe. But I have to try."

Marcus was in the mess tent when Jace found him.

"I'm leaving," Jace said. "Just for a few days."

"You're going after the Council."

"I'm going after the truth."

Marcus set down his coffee. "You can't do this alone."

"I won't be alone."

"Who's going with you?"

Jace hesitated. "No one."

Marcus stared at him. "You're insane."

"Probably."

"Be careful. And come back."

"I will."

---

Viktor was still on the ridge.

The sun had risen over the desert, painting the rocks in shades of gold and amber. The bodies of the dead lay scattered around him like broken dolls. He didn't move. He couldn't.

His brother's face was still burned into his mind. Dmitri. The brother he'd thought was dead. The brother who'd betrayed him.

"The Council paid me. They want you dead."

His own brother. His own blood.

He closed his eyes. You can't escape your family. You can never escape your family.

He opened his eyes. The ridge was empty now. The enemy was gone. But Viktor knew it wasn't over. It was just the beginning.

---

Jace left the base under cover of darkness. The desert stretched before him, vast and empty and silent.

He thought about his parents. About the life they'd lived. The life they'd lost. They were investigating the Council. They were getting too close. And the Council had killed them for it.

I'm coming for you, Sterling. I'm coming for all of you.

He reached the safehouse at dawn. It was a small apartment in the suburbs—unremarkable, anonymous, perfect for hiding. He let himself in, locked the door, and opened the file Hayes had given him.

The file was thick—documents, photos, intelligence reports. The entire history of the Praetorian Council. And at the center of it all was Alexander Sterling.

Jace started reading.

---

His phone buzzed. A message from Amara.

"Where are you? Marcus said you left. I'm worried."

He wanted to reply. He wanted to tell her everything. But he couldn't. Not yet.

I'm sorry, Amara. I'm sorry for everything.

His phone buzzed again. This time, it was a number he didn't recognize.

"Jace Holloway," a voice said. "I've been looking for you."

"Who is this?"

"Someone who wants to help you. My name is Elena Vance. And I'm the ex-wife of the man who's going to save your life."

---

The call lasted ten minutes.

Elena told him everything. About the Council. About Sterling. About the conspiracy that had been running the world for decades. Elias had been planning for this for years. He'd been preparing for the war.

"What war?" Jace asked.

"The war that's coming. The war that's going to tear the world apart."

"Where is Elias now?"

"He's coming for you. He's going to help you."

"How do I know I can trust you?"

Elena was silent for a moment. "Because I've already lost everything. And I've got nothing left to lose."

---

Marcus was on the phone with his wife.

"Sarah, I need you to take the kids and leave."

"Leave? Leave where?"

"Somewhere safe. Somewhere the Council can't find you."

"The Council? What's the Council?"

Marcus hesitated. "I can't explain right now. But you need to trust me."

Sarah was quiet for a long moment. Then she said, "I trust you, Marcus. I always have."

---

In Eastern Europe, Fixer was on the move. He'd been driving for two days now, his prosthetic leg aching, his body exhausted. But he was almost there. Almost at FOB Phoenix. Almost at Jace.

In Switzerland, Elias was on the move. He'd been walking for two days now, his body frozen, his mind racing. But he was almost there. Almost at FOB Phoenix. Almost at Jace.

---

The safehouse was quiet.

Jace sat in the corner, staring at the wall. He thought about his parents. He thought about his team. He thought about the war that was coming.

And then he thought about Sterling.

He killed my parents. He killed them and I'm going to make him pay.

His phone buzzed. A message from Elena.

"Elias is on his way. He'll be there in two days."

He could survive two days. He had to.

---

Viktor was on the move. He'd left the base at dawn, his bag slung over his shoulder, his weapons hidden beneath his jacket. He was going to find Jace, no matter what.

Jace needs me. And I'm going to be there for him.

His phone buzzed. A message from an unknown number.

"Jace is in D.C. Safehouse. Come alone."

He would. He had to.

---

Fixer arrived at FOB Phoenix. The base was quiet—too quiet. The aftermath of the attack was still visible in the scorched buildings and the fresh graves.

He found Marcus in the mess tent.

"Where's Jace?"

"He left."

"Left where?"

"He didn't say."

Fixer's face hardened. "He's going after the Council, isn't he?"

"I don't know."

"You're lying."

Marcus stood. "Maybe I am. But it's not my place to tell you. It's Jace's."

Fixer stared at him. "Fine. Then I'll find him myself."

---

Elias arrived at FOB Phoenix. The base was quiet—too quiet.

He found Marcus in the mess tent.

"Where's Jace?"

"He left."

"Left where?"

"He didn't say."

Elias's face was unreadable. "He's going after the Council, isn't he?"

"I don't know."

"You're lying."

Marcus stood. "Maybe I am. But it's not my place to tell you. It's Jace's."

Elias stared at him. "Fine. Then I'll find him myself."

---

Viktor arrived at the safehouse at dawn.

He was exhausted, bruised, and covered in blood. But he was alive.

Jace opened the door.

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping you."

"I didn't ask for help."

"I know. But I'm here anyway."

---

Elias arrived at the safehouse at dawn.

He was exhausted, frozen, and covered in snow. But he was alive.

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping you."

"I didn't ask for help."

"I know. But I'm here anyway."

---

Fixer arrived at the safehouse at dawn.

He was exhausted, limping, and covered in dust. But he was alive.

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping you."

"I didn't ask for help."

"I know. But I'm here anyway."

---

The safehouse was crowded.

Jace, Viktor, Elias, and Fixer. Four broken men. Four broken soldiers.

"What now?" Fixer asked.

Jace looked at them. "We fight. We fight until we win. Or until we die."

---

In the Russian wilderness, Dmitri Volkov was on the move.

His betrayal of Viktor weighed heavily on him. He'd saved his brother's life, then tried to take it away.

I'm sorry, Brother. I'm so sorry.

His phone buzzed. A message from an unknown number.

"The Council knows what you did. They're coming for you."

He smiled bitterly. "Let them come."

---

In Washington D.C., General Hayes was making a decision.

She'd been thinking about it all night—the threat from Sterling, the weight of everything she'd sacrificed. She'd been a monster for too long. It was time to be a human.

She picked up her phone. She dialed a number she'd never called.

"Jace. I'm coming for you."

---

The safehouse was quiet.

Jace sat in the corner, watching his team. Viktor was cleaning his weapons. Fixer was inspecting his prosthetic. Elias was working on a laptop.

They were broken. All of them. But they were still fighting.

"What now?" Viktor asked.

Jace looked at them. "We find the Council. We tear them down. And we make them pay."

---

Jace was twenty-seven when his world fell apart.

He was in Germany on leave when the news broke. The massacre in Syria. The accusations. The lies. He'd watched his face appear on every screen. He'd watched his name become a curse word. He'd watched his life crumble into dust.

And he couldn't do anything about it. He was powerless. Helpless. Broken.

But he wasn't dead. And as long as he was alive, he could fight.

---

The safehouse was quiet.

But it wasn't empty. It was full of ghosts—ghosts of the past, ghosts of the future, ghosts of everything that had been lost.

And at the center of it all was Jace Holloway—a man who'd been broken, betrayed, and beaten. But who was still standing.

The war is just beginning. And I'm going to be ready for it.

He looked at his team. "Let's go. Let's end this."

---

The sun rose over the desert.

Jace stood on the perimeter of FOB Phoenix, looking out at the horizon. His team was behind him—broken, scarred, but ready.

Viktor, Fixer, and Elias. Three men who'd come from nowhere to help him fight. And somewhere out there, Amara and Marcus were waiting.

They're waiting for me. And I'm going to come back for them.

He turned to look at his team. "Let's move. We've got work to do."

---

In Washington D.C., General Hayes was packing her bags.

She'd made her decision. She was going to help Jace—no matter the cost.

She picked up her phone. She dialed a number she'd never called.

"Jace. I'm coming for you."

---

The desert stretched before them.

Jace led his team across the sand, their footsteps silent, their eyes scanning the horizon.

The war is just beginning. But I'm going to be ready for it.

"Let's move," he said. "We've got work to do."

---

The sun set over the desert.

Jace stood on the perimeter of FOB Phoenix, looking out at the horizon. His team was behind him, waiting for his orders.

"Tomorrow," he said. "Tomorrow we start the fight."

"And then what?" Viktor asked.

"And then we win."

---

In Washington D.C., General Hayes arrived at the safehouse.

She was exhausted, broken, and covered in dust. But she was alive.

Jace opened the door.

"What are you doing here?"

"Helping you."

"I didn't ask for help."

"I know. But I'm here anyway."

---

The safehouse was full.

Jace, Viktor, Fixer, Elias, and Hayes. Five broken soldiers. Five broken souls.

"Now we have a chance," Jace said. "Now we can win."

"How?" Fixer asked.

"Because we have the truth. And the truth is the most dangerous weapon of all."

---

The war was just beginning.

But Jace was ready. He was ready to fight. Ready to win. Ready to destroy the Council once and for all.

I'm coming for you, Sterling. I'm coming for all of you.

He moved forward into the desert. And his team followed...
