The Missing Silver Bangle
A ruthless billionaire demands your brother’s life for the murder of his sister—and you have seven days to prove his innocence or watch him die. When Adyant, the cold, empire-building tycoon drowning in grief, drags you into his twisted hunt for the truth, you quickly spot the obvious: every piece of evidence framing your brother is too perfect to be real. What starts as a desperate race to save your family uncovers a web of betrayal that reaches right into Adyant’s own security detail, turning your shared enemy into a shadow lurking closer than either of you dared to imagine. Now, every step you take across fog-shrouded estates and muddy murder sites leads to one missing clue: the silver bangle Adyant’s sister never took off. Can you find it before the seven days run out, or will the real killer bury both your families alongside his secret?

The gate crashed open before the first scream died in Her throat.
Not a knock. Not a warning. The sound of iron tearing from its hinges, the screech of metal against concrete, the shatter of glass as the front window exploded inward. She was still on the couch, still in her nightclothes, still holding the remote like it could do anything against the flood of black-clad men pouring through the gaping mouth of their home.
Her mother's scream was a knife. Her father's voice was a broken plea. The remote slipped from Her fingers and hit the floor, the batteries skittering across the tile like loose teeth.
"Get down! Everyone on the ground!"
They were everywhere. Shadows with guns, faceless and efficient. She was pushed, shoved, her knees cracking against the cold marble of the courtyard floor. The fairy lights—the ones her brother had strung up last Diwali—still twinkled overhead, casting their cheerful, useless glow on the chaos below.
And then She saw him.
He walked through the broken gate like he owned the night itself. Tall. Dressed in black. His face was a mask of sculpted stone, his eyes—dark, bottomless, empty—scanning the courtyard with the detached interest of a man surveying his own property. The men parted for him like water around a blade.
He stopped in front of her brother.
Rohan was on his knees, his hands bound behind his back, his face a canvas of confusion and terror. He was twenty-five. He still lived at home. He still called her *choti* and ruffled her hair when he thought she was sad. He was the softest man she knew.
"You took my sister from me."
The voice was calm. A whisper of silk over a razor's edge.
"Now I'll take everything from you."
"No—please—I swear, I didn't—"
The first blow landed with a sound she will never forget. A wet, hollow crack that silenced the night. The second lifted Rohan off his knees. The third sent him sprawling across the marble, his blood painting a dark, glistening trail behind him.
She was on her feet before she knew she had moved.
*Stop.*
The word came out as a sob, a scream, a prayer. *Stop, please, you'll kill him, please—*
She threw herself over her brother's body. His blood soaked through her clothes, warm and terrifyingly wet. His breath was a wet rattle against her ear. Behind her, she heard the men shift, heard the click of a safety being released.
"Boss… what about her?"
The silence that followed was the loudest thing she had ever heard.
She looked up through the haze of her tears, and she saw him. The man who had just beaten her brother to the edge of death. He was staring at her. Not through her, not past her. *At* her. His dark eyes, for the first time, held something other than emptiness. A flicker. A pause.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"Take her."
---
The penthouse was a cage of glass and steel.
The city glittered beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, a thousand indifferent stars. She stood in the center of the room, still in her nightdress clothes, her arms wrapped around herself as if she could hold her body together. The door had clicked shut behind her, the lock engaging with a sound like a final breath.
He didn't speak. He loosened his tie, the dark silk sliding through his collar with a whisper. He walked past her, close enough that she caught the scent of him—expensive cologne, cold air, and something darker beneath. He stopped at the bar, poured a glass of amber liquid, and held it up to the lights.
"Your brother is still breathing."
The words hung in the air. He turned, the glass tilting in his hand.
"Because I want him to."
"Please." Her voice was a wreck. "Please save him. He's innocent."
He paused. The word *innocent* seemed to catch in his throat, to lodge there like a shard of glass. He set the glass down without drinking, the sharp *clink* of crystal against marble the only sound in the room.
"My sister is dead."
