It was a stormy night. His car had a flat tire, and to make matters worse, he had run out of cigarettes. Fortunately, a convenience store was nearby. He decided to buy a pack of cigarettes and a can of beer.

Dressed entirely in black, with a long coat over a perfectly tailored three-piece suit, he looked like someone who had just stepped out of an important business meeting. Calm and composed, he walked toward the convenience store, completely unaware of the decision fate had made for him that night.

As soon as he entered, a young store clerk greeted him.

Jin: "Welcome, sir. May I help you?"

The man simply glanced at him without saying a word before walking toward the shelves. He picked up a can of beer and a pack of cigarettes.

After collecting what he needed, he slowly looked around the store with his deep ocean-blue eyes, carefully observing every corner.

Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder echoed outside, followed by a bright flash of lightning.

Jin flinched.

Although he tried to hide it, the fear on his face was impossible to miss.

The man noticed everything. A faint smirk appeared on his lips as he walked toward the counter.

Mike: "Looks like you're afraid of lightning... aren't you?"

Jin frowned.

Jin: "No."

Mike: "Hmm... It seems you don't talk much either."

Ignoring him, Jin scanned the items and placed them on the counter.

Jin: "That's all, sir. Your checkout is complete."

At that exact moment, another powerful bolt of lightning illuminated the sky.

Startled, Jin instinctively crouched down.

Mike couldn't help but smirk.

Then, suddenly...

A sweet fragrance filled the air.

The delicate scent of lilies blended with fresh roses lingered around Jin.

Mike's expression immediately changed.

His eyes widened in surprise.

Without thinking, he stepped over to the counter, grabbed Jin by the shoulders, and stared directly into his eyes.

Mike: "Are these... your pheromones?"

Jin quickly tried to push him away.

Jin: "That's none of your business. Let go of me."

Mike didn't move.

Instead, he tightened his grip slightly, his gaze never leaving Jin.

Mike: "You're an Omega... aren't you?"

Jin's expression instantly changed.

He forcefully pulled himself free and took a step back.

Jin: "You should leave now."

Mike let out a quiet chuckle before picking up the beer and cigarettes from the counter.

Mike: "Interesting..."

He placed the money on the counter and turned toward the exit.

Just as he reached the door, another loud clap of thunder echoed through the sky.

Jin instinctively flinched again, though this time he tried his best to hide it.

Mike glanced back over his shoulder.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

Mike: "See you again... Jin."

Jin froze.

Jin: "...How do you know my name?"

Mike's eyes shifted toward the small name tag pinned to Jin's uniform.

Mike: "It was written right here."

Jin looked down at his name tag and sighed in embarrassment.

Without another word, Mike stepped out of the convenience store and disappeared into the heavy rain.

Jin stood silently, watching him through the glass door.

For some reason...

He had a strange feeling that this would not be their last meeting.
