Who Is The Ranker?

Everyone gathered on the training field, forming lines like military cadets.

​Once they had formed their lines, a loud, roaring voice echoed across the field.

​"Examinees! I AM ESCANOR! And I will be the examiner for your physical tests!"

​Escanor was a tall man, towering around 6'5". He was blessed with a broad chest, long muscular legs, huge biceps, and dense eyebrows.

​"So, your first test is a stamina test. I want you all to run 20 laps around this 500-meter-radius running track!"

​"Ready... steady... GO!"

​The moment he shouted "GO!", all the students started running. There was a strict rule set by Professor Escanor: nobody was allowed to stop, even for a single second.before their legs give up.

​The first 4 laps were easy, and everyone passed.

​By the 9th lap, 110 students had given up.

​On the 11th lap, many more students collapsed, including Nakul and Yuji.

On the 12th lap, Vikir gave up.

On the 14th lap, Damon gave up as well. By the 16th lap, Dharma stopped running. Now, only a few students remained.

By the 18th lap, almost all the remaining students had stopped running. Only Arjun, Bheem, Duren, and a guy named Karn were still going.

​Only four students completed all 20 laps of the track. Points were to be awarded according to the number of laps completed: 1 point for each lap.

​Escanor wasn't surprised to see them complete the task; it wasn't new for him to see trainees finish his test.

​What was new was the fact that Arjun and Bheem weren't even out of breath. It was as if they hadn't been running at all, but rather just sitting around. Their physical condition was completely normal. On the other hand, Duren and Karn were completely out of breath.

​For normal examinees to achieve such feats without using Prana was an unheard-of accomplishment.

​"Hey, friend, what's your name? And where are you from?" Duren asked, looking toward Karn.

​"I am Karn, and I am the son of Duke Rathi from your kingdom, Hastinapur. My father is a close friend of your father, the King of Hastinapur."

​"Ohhh! So doesn't that make us friends, too?" Duren asked with a kind smile—because sometimes, a kind smile hides cruel motives.

​Karn didn't say anything for a few seconds. Finally, he replied, "I'll think about it."

​Duren looked slightly annoyed by the indirect rejection, but he didn't let his annoyance show on his face, as he was still evaluating Karn's potential value.

​On the other side, the three brothers and Nakul were talking amongst themselves.

Huffing and puffing, completely out of breath from exhaustion and running, Nakul asked, "How are you two not even sweating?"

​Bheem laughed while Arjun simply smiled, quietly observing Professor Escanor.

​Bheem said, "It's because we are strong!"

​Nakul replied, "That doesn't automatically answer every question! Saying 'it's because we're strong' isn't enough. Even Duren is strong, but he's completely out of breath!"

​Bheem placed his hand on Nakul's shoulder. "Maybe the reason is just that we're good hard workers! Hahaha!"

​"EVERYONE! GET BACK INTO FORMATION!" Escanor roared, infusing his voice with Prana so that it reached every single person on the field.

​"Since you've had plenty of rest, I will conduct the next exam!"

​"Your next test is endurance. You all have to hold a horse stance for 30 minutes, then transition straight into a plank for another 30 minutes. Your exam starts NOW!"

​The moment he said "NOW!", everyone dropped into a horse stance formation and held the posture. After 30 minutes, everyone shifted into the plank position.

​In this manner, several more tests were held and points were carefully noted down. Every test was designed to evaluate a specific physical attribute—whether it was raw strength, speed, endurance, or stamina.

​After all the physical exams were thoroughly conducted, it was time for the results.

​Escanor announced, "Students! As you all know, there are only 100 seats in this academy.

Therefore, 60 of you must be eliminated based on these tests."

​"I will announce the rankings now based on written exams and physical exams total points summision and evalution .

Those who are not in the top hundred will not be joining the academy. And the student who secured FIRST PLACE is none other than..."
