The Divine Mistake: The 13 Hearts of the Arcane King

The Divine Mistake: The 13 Hearts of the Arcane King

The Life That God Accidentally Took

The last thing Alex remembered from his old life was the sound of rain hitting the city streets.

He had always been an ordinary person. He was not a hero, a warrior, or someone with special powers. He was simply a young man who enjoyed learning about technology, business, history, and fantasy stories. He dreamed about living in a world where magic existed, where dragons flew through the sky, and where someone could create their own destiny.

But dreams were only dreams.

One evening, while walking home, everything suddenly went dark.

When Alex opened his eyes again, he was standing in a place unlike anything he had ever seen. A massive white hall stretched endlessly in every direction. Golden pillars floated in the air, rivers of glowing light flowed across the floor, and countless stars moved above him.

"Where am I?" Alex asked.

A powerful voice answered.

"Welcome, human soul."

Alex turned and saw a figure sitting on a throne made of crystal. The person looked like a young man but carried an overwhelming presence. His eyes contained galaxies, and his aura felt like the power of the entire universe.

"I am the God of Creation."

Alex stared in confusion.

"God? Then... am I dead?"

The god looked away awkwardly.

"Yes."

Alex froze.

"How did I die?"

The god became silent.

Then he cleared his throat.

"There was a small mistake."

"A mistake?"

The god nervously looked at a floating magical screen.

"I was managing millions of lives across different worlds. While creating a new blessing for another person, I accidentally sent a divine energy wave into your world."

Alex blinked.

"So you accidentally killed me?"

"Correct."

"That is a pretty big mistake."

The god sighed.

"I understand. Because of my mistake, I will give you a choice. You may be reborn in another world with the life you desire."

Alex's eyes widened.

"Another world?"

"Yes. A world of magic, monsters, kingdoms, and mysteries."

For the first time since arriving, Alex smiled.

A world of magic.

A world where he could become someone different.

"What choices do I have?"

The god raised his hand, and several glowing symbols appeared.

"You may choose your talent, family, abilities, appearance, and destiny. However, your choices must follow the balance of the world."

Alex thought carefully.

In his previous life, he had always wished he could experience a world of fantasy. If he had another chance, he wanted to build something meaningful.

"I want to be born into a noble family," Alex said.

"Accepted."

"I want incredible magical talent and knowledge about business, economics, and inventions."

"Accepted."

"I want to help people and stop evil organizations that harm innocent lives."

The god smiled.

"An admirable choice."

Alex continued thinking.

Then he smiled.

"There is one more thing."

"What is it?"

"I want to have people who will stand beside me. Friends, companions... and people who truly care about me."

The god looked surprised.

"How many companions?"

Alex thought for a moment.

"Thirteen."

The god laughed.

"That is a very specific number."

"I want thirteen different people with different personalities, races, and talents. I want to create bonds that last forever."

"Very well."

A golden light surrounded Alex.

"Your new life will begin as the son of House Valerian, one of the strongest noble families in the kingdom of Aetheria."

The god raised his hand.

"You will possess rare magical abilities, a brilliant mind, and the potential to change the entire world."

Alex felt his body becoming lighter.

"Wait," Alex said. "Will I remember my old life?"

"Yes. Your memories and knowledge will remain."

"Then I will use them to create a better world."

The god smiled.

"I hope you enjoy your second chance."

The light became brighter.

Alex closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, he heard crying.

Not his crying.

A baby's cry.

He felt warmth around him and heard unfamiliar voices.

"The young master has been born!"

"The heir of House Valerian has arrived!"

A woman gently held him.

"My beautiful child..."

Alex could barely move, but his mind was clear.

He had been given another life.

A life filled with magic.

A life filled with possibilities.

A life where he would become more than an ordinary person.

Far away, the god watched through a crystal mirror.

"The human I accidentally took away may become the greatest person this world has ever seen."

The god smiled.

"But even I do not know what kind of future he will create."

And so began the journey of Alex Valerian...

The boy who was given a second life.

The noble genius who would challenge darkness.

The future king who would unite humans, dragons, and mythical creatures.

The man known throughout history as the Arcane King.
