Kidnapped

Ten years ago, I was a victim of an illegal organization who kidnaps young teens and sells their body or takes out their organs and sells it. I was a victim who was never going to see her home or get to graduate from high school or college. My name is Sheng Houa Mei, but people call me Houa Mei. This is how my story started. Four years ago, my family was building an organization with other companies. We never encountered any enemies, but a lot of people were jealous of my family's business. At that time I was just finishing my junior year and was about to go to my senior year. Within those years, I never knew that my best friend and my fiance were dating behind my back. As summer cameby, I was about to turn 18. Unluckily, I wasn’t expecting to be kidnapped by those illegal organizations. As they kidnapped me, I heard one of the guys say that the only reason why they kidnapped me was because someone had paid them to do it. 

As they spoke, I heard boats, waters, seagulls, and something that sounded like machines. I don’t know where they took me, but as soon as we got there they untied my hand and unblindfolded me, one of the guys decided to touch my butt and smell my hair. Then I shouted, “Don’t touch me!” The guy with the tattoo on his left arm says shut your mouth as he pushes me into the cage. As I looked around, I noticed that it was a warehouse. Inside the warehouse, there were some parts of the corner that were dark. As I was sitting down, I felt someone come close to me and it was like a girl. She felt very skinny and shaking as if she’s been here for more than a month. As I looked around, there was only one light bulb hanging up in the ceiling and I could see two men sitting at a table playing game cards. There were also many teenage girls that I saw on the news before I got kidnapped; were reported missing. Now I know where all these missing teenage girls were kept at.

I wish god could help me, but now that I am being one of those victim; I cannot escape even if I want to escape. As days pass by, I’ve noticed that some of the girls are missing. Since I didn’t really know the answer, I whisper to a girl that was near me. I asked her, “What happened to the girls that those men took. Did those people do something to those girls or what?” She responded quietly, “Yeah, I do know what happened to those girls who were taken by them. Since you just came here not too long, you probably don’t know. They often pick out which girl to sell or to kill. Sometimes if you were lucky enough, you might survive for a month or so. Sometimes you do not know when it will be your turn. But I’m sure that tonight will probably be the last night for me.” “Why do they kill the girls if they are not going to sell them?” I asked. She replied, “If they don’t sell you, then they will kill you for your organs and sell it to other illegal organizations.” When one of the guys came to me, he said, “You should know that your family’s business got shut down and even they try to find you; there is no use. Once they find you, you will be as good as dead.” I was shocked when hearing that.

That night, I was scared that I might be killed or I might be sold to some old pervert men. I was so scared wishing that this thing would never happen to me. As much as I wish, I’m still here and things can’t be changed. The next morning, I noticed the girl next to me last night; were gone. She was taken by them and since then I don’t know what happened to her or where her remaining body is. As each day goes by, many girls are gone one by one. Some girls were taken for an hour and came back with hand marks and hickey all over their body. Some girls were gone and never came back. It was either they were sold to its owner or they were killed and had their organs taken out and sold. Those were the only three reasons that I’ve thought about. I’ve never known the real reason what is going on.

Tonight was very cold and I could hear one of the guys speaking to the other guy. He said, “This is going to be a jackpot if we sell that rich girl Houa Mei. Beside the one who wanted us to make her suffer were Yu Ying and Feng Shawn.” The other guy replied, “Dude shut your mouth. What if someone hears us?” “No one is going to hear us.” the other guy replied back. I was shocked once again and cried silent inside. I feel as if someone has stabbed me from behind and my chest feels heavy as if someone is putting a stone in my chest. I’ve never thought that the best friend whom I care the most for 8 years would stab me and the men that I love for 4 years had cheated on me and tried to kill me. My mind was going blank and I felt like I didn’t want to live anymore.

The next day, a man with a beard, darker hair, and brown eyes came up to me and said that it was my turn. He also told me that my dad committed suicide because of doing something illegal, which was not true. My mom died from a heart attack soon after hearing my father’s death. My grandma died as soon as she heard about the illegal trade that my father’s companies had made. After hearing that, I even felt more sadness inside of me. After he told me that, I got up and started to follow him.  I didn’t know where he’s going to take me, but I also cannot refuse or else he might hurt me. Each of those people, I recognize their faces, voices, including heights, ages, and names. I also remember how many people there were, including the girls that were kidnapped like me. As I was walking, there was an old man that was probably in his 30s; were looking at me. His looks disgusted me a lot. I don’t really like what’s going on. The old man looks fat and he smokes cigarettes as well which I do not like. As the bearded men took me to the table that was outside, he stopped and started talking to the old men named Steven, about the prices and the deals about selling me to him. I was shocked and I couldn’t resist and wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. Neithertheless, I was trying to escape without them noticing me, but luck wasn’t on my side. One of the old man’s bodyguards saw me and shouted, “She’s trying to escape. Stop her right now!” As the bodyguard shouted, I ran full speed without knowing where the heck to run to. As I was running, they were catching up to me. Suddenly, I slipped and fell into a cave that was full of poisonous snakes. As I was trying to get up, I noticed that I twisted my ankle and there were a bunch of poisonous snakes there. As I was moving backward, three of the poisonous snakes bit me on the shoulder and on my thighs. It hurt so much and thought that this might be a way to escape from this terrible place.

As the poison slowly enters my body, I can hear people coming and say, “Just leave her there. There are too many poisonous snakes. Anyway, she’s going to die.” As I looked up, I could see those people walk away one by one. My tears slowly came down and I said to myself, “If there’s another lifetime, I want to take revenge on those people who hurt my familys and tried to kill me. I want to make each and everyone of them fall down. I want to see them tearing apart. I want them to feel all the pains that me and my family have endured. I want their lives to be ruined and live in a living hell. I promise that I’ll make them pay for their evilness.” As my visions get blurry and my upper body falls down, I can still feel tears coming down. Everything became pinch black and there weren't any more noises.
