Episode 1 — You Came Late Again
At exactly 2:17 a.m., Aarav suddenly woke up.
His breathing was heavy, and his entire body was covered in sweat.
It was the same dream again.
A deserted road. Heavy rain. Thick smoke everywhere. And in front of him, an old building was burning.
Aarav stood alone in the middle of the road.
Then someone appeared through the smoke.
A boy.
He was wearing black clothes. His hair was completely wet, and there was a strange sadness in his eyes.
The boy slowly walked toward Aarav.
For the first time, Aarav could clearly see his face.
Joon.
“Who are you?” Aarav asked.
Joon didn't answer.
He simply looked into Aarav's eyes and whispered,
“Don't try to save me this time.”
Aarav froze.
“This time?”
He stepped backward.
“Have we met before?”
A strange smile appeared on Joon's face.
“You always forget.”
Suddenly, someone screamed from behind.
“Aarav!”
He turned around.
A massive explosion shook the entire street.
Aarav opened his eyes.
He was back in his bedroom.
The clock showed 2:18 a.m.
He took a deep breath.
“It was just a dream…”
Then he looked at his hand.
His blood ran cold.
There was a small black mark on his palm.
Exactly the same mark he had seen on Joon's hand in the dream.
---
The next morning, Aarav stood outside the gates of his new college.
New city.
New college.
New people.
He took a deep breath and told himself,
“Nothing strange is going to happen today.”
“Are you Aarav?”
He turned around.
A girl was standing behind him.
“Yeah.”
“I’m Rhea. We’re in the same class.”
Rhea looked confident. There was always a curious spark in her eyes.
“First day?” she asked.
“Yes.”
“Then I should give you some advice.”
“What advice?”
Rhea leaned closer.
“Nothing in this college is exactly what it looks like.”
Aarav laughed.
“Do you always scare new students?”
“No,” she replied with a small smile. “Only the ones who look like they're going to attract trouble.”
Before Aarav could reply, another boy walked toward them.
“Rhea, you're doing it again?”
It was Kabir.
He placed a hand on Aarav's shoulder.
“I'm Kabir. Don't worry about her. She's a little crazy.”
Rhea glared at him.
“And you're extremely annoying.”
Aarav laughed.
For the first time that morning, he felt comfortable.
Maybe this college wouldn't be so bad after all.
Then his smile disappeared.
Someone was standing at the end of the corridor.
Black jacket.
Wet hair.
Those eyes.
That face.
Joon.
Aarav froze.
Joon slowly began walking toward him.
Step by step.
Aarav's heartbeat became faster.
Joon stopped directly in front of him.
For several seconds, neither of them spoke.
Then Joon whispered,
“You came late again, Aarav.”
Aarav's face went pale.
“How do you know my name?”
Joon's eyes moved toward Aarav's hand.
The moment he saw the black mark, his expression changed.
Fear.
“What is it?” Aarav asked.
Joon took a step backward.
“That mark…”
“What about it?”
“It shouldn't have appeared this soon.”
Rhea immediately looked between them.
“You two know each other?”
Joon looked at her.
“No.”
Aarav stared at him.
“But you just called me by my—”
“It was a mistake.”
Joon turned around and walked away.
Aarav watched him disappear down the corridor.
Kabir looked confused.
“Bro… who was that?”
Aarav didn't answer.
One question kept repeating in his mind.
If Joon had never met him before…
How did he know his name?
---
That night, Aarav's phone suddenly vibrated.
An unknown number.
“Don't trust Joon.”
Aarav stared at the message.
Another message appeared.
“He's keeping you from remembering.”
Aarav's fingers went cold.
Then a third message appeared.
“And if you discover the truth…”
A few seconds passed.
The final message arrived.
“You will die within 100 days.”
Aarav dropped his phone.
At that exact moment, his bedroom window suddenly opened.
Cold wind rushed inside.
Aarav slowly looked outside.
Someone was standing across the street.
A young man.
Vihaan.
He was staring directly at Aarav.
Then he smiled.
He raised one finger to his lips.
“Shhh…”
And disappeared into the darkness.
