The Tale of Nokdu — BL Version
Episode 2: The Morning Disaster
MORNING — LORD CHO'S ROOM
Sunlight entered through the window.
Lord Cho sat perfectly straight at the table.
He had not slept.
Not because of anything important.
Absolutely not.
He simply kept remembering one particular moment from last night.
He touched his lips briefly.
Then immediately pulled his hand away.
“What am I doing?”
Before he could think any further—
BANG!
The door flew open.
Nokdu stumbled inside.
“Lord Cho…”
Cho nearly jumped out of his chair.
“What are you doing here?!”
Nokdu held his head.
“My head is killing me.”
“You deserve it.”
Nokdu looked offended.
“That's a very cruel thing to say to someone suffering.”
“You drank enough alcohol to drown a horse.”
Nokdu thought about it.
“…Was the horse drinking with me?”
Cho stared at him.
“No.”
“Oh.”
Nokdu slowly sat down.
Then he looked around.
“Wait…”
His eyes widened.
“Why am I in your room?”
Cho's face became serious.
“You came here last night.”
Nokdu gasped.
“I did?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“You wanted alcohol.”
Nokdu nodded proudly.
“That sounds like me.”
Cho sighed.
Then Nokdu suddenly leaned forward.
“Did I say anything embarrassing?”
Cho went silent.
“You said many things.”
“What things?”
“You told me my room was boring.”
Nokdu covered his mouth.
“I said that?!”
“You also said my face looked angry.”
Nokdu stared at him.
“…It does.”
Cho's eyebrow twitched.
“And you stole my pillow.”
Nokdu looked horrified.
“I did WHAT?”
“You slept on it.”
“Oh.”
Nokdu relaxed.
“That isn't so bad.”
Cho stared at him.
“You also…”
He stopped.
Nokdu waited.
“Also what?”
Cho looked away.
“Nothing.”
Nokdu narrowed his eyes.
“Lord Cho.”
“What?”
“You're definitely hiding something.”
“I am not.”
“You are.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Yes.”
Cho stood up.
“Leave.”
Nokdu stood too.
“Why?”
“Because you're annoying.”
Nokdu smiled.
“You were nicer to me last night.”
Cho froze.
Nokdu tilted his head.
“Were you?”
Cho quickly turned away.
“You were drunk. You don't remember.”
Nokdu's smile disappeared.
“I don't?”
Cho looked at him.
“No.”
Nokdu stared at him for a moment.
Then suddenly smiled again.
“Good.”
Cho frowned.
“Good?”
“Yes. That means I can pretend I didn't embarrass myself.”
Cho muttered under his breath—
“You did much more than embarrass yourself.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”

OUTSIDE
Nokdu's female friends were waiting nearby.
The moment Nokdu walked out, they surrounded him.
“WHERE WERE YOU?”
Nokdu jumped.
“Why are you shouting?!”
“You disappeared last night!”
“I went to get alcohol.”
“You were gone for hours!”
Nokdu scratched his head.
“I found Lord Cho.”
His friends immediately exchanged looks.
“Ooooooh…”
Nokdu frowned.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Why are you smiling?”
“Nothing.”
“You're definitely hiding something.”
One of them whispered to another—
“Do you think he remembers?”
Nokdu turned.
“Remembers what?”
They all immediately looked away.
“Nothing!”
Nokdu became suspicious.
“Why is everyone saying 'nothing' today?”

LORD CHO — WATCHING FROM A DISTANCE
Cho watched the entire conversation.
One of the women suddenly pointed toward him.
“Lord Cho!”
Cho immediately turned around.
“Why me?”
Nokdu looked at him.
Their eyes met.
Nokdu smiled.
Cho quickly looked away.
Nokdu walked toward him.
“Lord Cho!”
“What?”
“Did I really sleep in your room last night?”
“Yes.”
“Did I say anything strange?”
Cho hesitated.
“Yes.”
“What?”
Cho looked directly into his eyes.
“You said…”
He paused.
Nokdu waited.
“You said you liked my…”
Cho stopped himself.
Nokdu leaned closer.
“Your what?”
Cho's face became slightly red.
“My wine.”
Nokdu blinked.
“…That's it?”
“Yes.”
Nokdu smiled.
“Then why are you blushing?”
Cho immediately turned around.
“I am not.”
“You are!”
“I am not!”
“You definitely are!”
Behind them, Nokdu's friends were struggling not to laugh.
One whispered—
“This is better than the village theatre.”
Another replied—
“Quiet! Don't ruin it!”
Nokdu suddenly called out—
“I HEARD THAT!”
Everyone froze.
Cho closed his eyes.
“This is going to be a very long day.”
CUT TO BLACK.
