The lunch bell rang, and the entire class practically exploded out of their seats.

I grabbed my lunch and walked toward the cafeteria with my friends.

“I'm starving,” I said.

“You're always starving.”

“Because you people take forever to get out of class.”

We reached the cafeteria, and I immediately noticed the usual chaos, students shouting across tables, people stealing fries from their friends, and everyone trying to claim the best seats.

I sat down and finally opened my lunch.

Peace.

For about thirty seconds.

Then I heard the whispers.

I didn't even have to look.

I already knew.

Raine.

I glanced toward the entrance and, sure enough, there she was.

Of course she had to show up.

The same person who had spent the entire morning getting on my nerves without even trying.

Our eyes met from across the cafeteria.

Neither of us looked away.

She gave me that irritating little smirk.

I narrowed my eyes.

Seriously?

I looked away first, not because I'd lost, obviously.

I just had better things to do.

Like eat.

Amy noticed.

“You two really don't like each other, huh?”

I scoffed.

“She's annoying.”

“That's it?”

“That's more than enough.”

I went back to eating.

I wasn't going to let her ruin my lunch.

But somehow, I could still feel her presence across the room.

And that annoyed me even more.

I slowly turned toward the table where two groups of students were literally arguing over us.

I stared.

“You've got to be kidding me.”

My friend burst out laughing.

“Again?”

“This happens every day.”

I sighed and walked past them.

Apparently, being everyone's favorite topic was supposed to be flattering.

It wasn't.

Then the cafeteria doors opened again.

Raine walked in.

And immediately-

“RAINE!”

“See?! She's literally perfect!”

“No, Nicky is better!”

“What's wrong with you?!”

The argument started all over again.

I pressed my fingers against my forehead.

Unbelievable.

Raine glanced toward the arguing students.

Then she looked at me.

I looked back.

For a second, neither of us said anything.

Then she gave me that smug little look.

I rolled my eyes.

“Don't start,” I muttered.

“I wasn't going to,” she replied.

“Good.”

“Good.”

We walked past each other in opposite directions.

Behind us, the cafeteria erupted again.

“NICKY!”

“RAINE!”

I groaned.

Apparently, lunch was going to be a long one.

I immediately looked back down.

Why did that annoy me?

I had no idea.

And honestly?

I didn't want to find out.

Amy keeps talking about Raine and I was on the verge of dying, she was annoying,

"Aren't you gonna eat", I asked

She didn't said anything, simply looking at the so called new comer, ohh right Raine.

I kept thinking about the mangoes, suddenly I felt a heavy gaze over me, I looked at the direction, Raine was looking at my direction doing signs,

I don't understand what the heck was she doing until I look back,"urm..what is she doi-, oh.." and saw Amy doing weird signs too. I rolled my eyes. I just simply hate everyone atp.
